Nice environment however quite small. Staff friendly. Ordered from special boards. Averaging £10 each. Paniji goat cheese and chutney. Asked itlr wanted crisps instead of salad. About half bag in a bowl. Panini had very thin slice of cheese l. My friends had smoke salmon and egg on muffin which they said tasted nice but again very small portion. Dont think I would visit again

I visited this cafe for lunch. I am cealiac and there was an amazing choice of gluten free food. I couldn't decide so went for the gluten free afternoon tea which consisted of sandwich, scone and cake with tea or coffee. Various sandwich fillings to choose from and a choice of 2 scones and 2 cakes, all gluten free. They were knowledgeable and helpful and I felt very confident eating. They food was delicious. They put the chocolate brownie in a bag and I took it away with me. Very happy, delicious treat, thank you so much

Me and my partners first time visiting Corbridge. We fancied a late breakfast and were unsure of where to go but stumbled across this tea room, who were very accommodating and having a late breakfast was no issue though menu stated breakfast finished at 11:30. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food (traditional full English and a sausage and egg bun) were lovely. Little quaint and cosy tea room.

We’d been here before and had had a lovely experience, but not today sadly. We entered and waited to be seated…..as the sign stated. We waited for almost 10 minutes and could see and hear people in the kitchen chatting, with their backs facing the tea room. We even moved closer to the kitchen in the hope that they’d see us, but nothing. Whilst we waited another couple came in, they too left after waiting. Sadly, we also got sick of being ignored so left and went somewhere else instead.

Beautiful tearoom. Lovely food. Rude staff member. Ordered with a woman resembling Mrs . Overall never made eye contact Took my order for sandwiches and drinks I also ask for a scone to come after I had eaten my sandwich as I wanted it warm So that seemed fine and she took the order. Food came with the scone then as we were eating she switched the lights out and closed the windows even though it was incredibly close and warm so so rude she was obviously keen to get home and we left before it closed. Good food spoilt by offensive rude behaviour. My recommendation is to find a job you like maybe not involving paying customers !! Or take a course in customer care if learn some basic manners!!! The first time visiting Corbridge for 10 months...lockdown , Covid, being poorly. As usual nightmare place to park around square, it started to rain, and I popped into Massey's. Warm and cosy as usual but fewer tables because of social distancing and a new counter for take away. I had scrambled eggs and a pot of tea. Delicious eggs, and the toasted bread was ‘chia bread’ I’ve never had that before, so tasty. I understand it comes from a bakery in Consett, and the owner brings it with her - fresh daily.

I visited here with my mum for a mid-week lunch. Neither of us had been before. There is no dedicated parking but it is in the town centre and easy to walk to. We both ordered soup (lentil and vegetable). I ordered mine with a cheese and onion toastie and my mum ordered hers with bread. I ordered warm chocolate brownie and ice-cream for dessert and my mum ordered syrup sponge pudding with custard. I know my photo isn't an 'instagrammable' one and doesn't make my soup look particularly appealing. But this soup is THE nicest soup I have ever had in a cafe and the best I've ever tasted apart from my late Grandma's (which will never be beaten!). Absolutely delicious. I could have eaten ten times the amount I was given. It didn't need a speck of seasoning and was utterly amazing. I literally don't have a bad word to say about it!My toastie was also very nice and was made with lovely bread for dipping. My brownie was nice, although the ice-cream tasted very synthetic and cheaply bought in. My mum said her dessert was nice too. The toilets are upstairs. They are small, but clean enough. On the soup alone I would have rated this place 5*. But the service was a 3* at best so I've plumped for mid-way between the two and given it a 4*. When we first ordered the soups, my mum said to her "I'd like a pudding but I'll order that afterwards" so the waitress knew a further order was forthcoming. But we finished our mains and then sat. And sat. And sat a bit more. Nobody came.We could hear the waitress and the cook chatting to each other in the kitchen (not work related) so they weren't busy doing anything else. There were two other tables occupied whilst we were in there. One having afternoon tea and the other having lunch. BOTH other tables also wanted to order more things (the afternoon tea table wanted more coffee and the lunch table wanted to order scones). In the end, the afternoon tea table went and hovered at the entrance to the kitchen. She was still ignored so poked her head in and asked for some service. At that point, ourselves and the other lunch table put in our order too. No apology was given, despite the entire customer base in the cafe all ordering stuff! It also lost a few marks because it was a bit shabby (not fashionably so, just plain old shabby) and grubby. The decor and service definitely did not match up to the amazing food quality, which is a bit sad as it deserves great praise for the food. I would absolutely return to have more of that soup if I visit the town again. If the staff had been nicer, I would have loved to ask for the recipe. But I'd like to see the staff be a bit more aware of customers' needs and also for the place to get a bit of a makeover. Well done on the soup though. I LOVED it!

Sausage freshly cooked, egg nicely runny, lovely soft roll. Coffee included a much needed refill. Rather small and compact on the ground floor, upstairs is much larger with a lounge are at the back next to the toilet facilities ( which are nice and bright and a pleasure to use). This small tearoom served us very efficiently with tasty, fresh food on a busy lunchtime. Staff really cheerful & friendly. Not very spacious inside but we weren't too crammed in. Toilet, which is upstairs (difficult for some people), was busy & unisex so a queue formed. Overall, though, a pleasant enough experience & reasonably priced.

An excellent tea room in the centre of Corbridge. The food and drink was served promptly and to a high standard. I recommend this tea room.

Visited along with family members for brunch. A good experience all round. Food and service were both very good. Perhaps not the cheapest but was very pleasant

We called in on the hottest day of the year so far as it was just too hot outside. Surprisingly we were the only ones in on arrival, though the place was full upstairs and down by the time we had finished our lunch.

The owner kept the tea rooms open for us on a cycle trip when we arrived into Corbridge behind schedule. We were weary, cold and very wet (that's British June weather for you) and we got a lovely warm welcome. The coffee was in endless supply and the cakes were great. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent-, friendly, accommodating but more than all that, they went the extra mile to make us welcome by staying open longer when we hadn't arrived as planned due to bad weather

Popped in here after seeing TA reviews and very pleased we did. Nice warm welcome. Sat upstairs which was bit more peaceful. Everywhere seemed very clean. Liked the old fashioned tea cups and tea pot. We had good value toasties which came with crisps.

Small but welcoming tearoom right in the heart of historic Corbridge. Not the cheapest place but can't grumble about the quality of the food we had. Staff were chatty and friendly. Nice wee place to stop off.

Popped in here for lunch on a cold and wet bank holiday. Welcomed by a lovely waitress and we chose to sit upstairs. Good choice of sandwiches and cakes on the menu.Breakfasts are only served until 12. I opted for a ham and pease pudding sandwich on white and the other half had a ham and cheese toasted sandwich. The bread was lovely and the ham was very good but the pease pudding was very sparse. The salad and/or crisps were also good. Nice clean tea rooms with very pleasant staff but I thought it to be a little pricey for what we got.

This small tea room is just what it says, it may only be small but everything is freshly cooked and the service is courteous and friendly. The only downside is that the toilets are upstairs and being someone who can struggle with stairs i was apprehensive but the stairs were fairly easy with handrails on both sides.

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.

We visited Hexham yesterday and found this café in the Market Place, after a lovely River Tyne walk. It was quite busy at 1pm but we didn't have to wait long for our table. The girls made us feel very welcome and worked so hard while we were there clearing tables and getting everyone seated as soon as possible. My husband had a bacon sarnie and I had a ham and mushroom omelette which was so light and fluffy, delicious. Coffees were great too. Plenty of choice on the menu and great prices. Doggy friendly too with a treat for pooch 🐾

What a welcoming, hospitable place. If you ever need cheering up, this is the place to go. We were made welcome immediately, and tony the owner had us in stiches from the start. Everyone there were so friendly, and what had started as an intended short visit, led to us staying to closing. Met some brilliant characters, who all just made our day. Dog friendly too, which was an added bonus to us. Can't recommend enough.
