Visited there for afternoon tea as part of a visit to the town. Lovely friendly staff who offered us a fine array of homemade cakes. We can highly recommend this comfortable place.

Excellent service by a lovely young girl, who was very pleasant and helpful. All the other staff were friendly too. We had the chestnut and mushroom soup with lovely brown bread which was delicious. We tried 2 of the cakes with drinks which we really enjoyed. All was home made. The cafe was clean and well organised. Would definitely go back

We always call at Tea and Tipple when we visit Corbridge, it's always busy. I have the coronation chicken wrap, which is always delicious. They offer free top ups of coffee, which is so generous as most cafes would charge for this. Everything is always excellent, and served by friendly warm staff. Would highly recommend.

The food and drinks were lovely but staff kept looking at our table to see if we were gone which felt like every 30 seconds and continually came over to take away food and drinks while still eating. We had not been in long and tables around us had same people sitting on them with their drinks that were still there when we left. Were made to feel very unwelcome and would not return

I first visited this delightful Cafe With my daughter who highly recommended it I was not disappointed. So when we visited later in the year I persuaded my husband to try it.Very busy but a table for 2 was ready in a very short time,& order taken for drinks .The specials were advised along with a good choice menu.Ham Hock broth was our choice served with lovely bread,Superb ,a meal in a dish,so tasty & filling. The staff were helpful, & cheerful!!What a bonus in these times of gloom. The lady in charge works with her staff & obviously promotes good customer service . Whenever we are visiting this will definitely be on my "must visit" Corbridge is a very picturesque olde world town ,lots of small shops & a walkable distance.plus next to the river.

Called in here for a cup of coffee late on in the afternoon. The lovely staff said that cakes and scones were available if we wanted , so I decided to try a cheese scone... Wow absolutely delicious. Now I love a cheese scone, everywhere I go I have one, cafe's, garden centres, posh coffee shops, farmers markets the lot and I have to say this was THE NICEST I have ever had. Not too dry, not to stodgy, just light and perfectly cheesy without being overpoweringly so. I had mine warmed up with an extra pat of butter and advise you have the same, you won't be disappointed :o) Just looking for any excuse to head to Corbridge now, so I can get a regular fix.

THE MOST TASTELESS SCONE EVER . Out on the bike to day and called in for brunch . Had a cheese and pickle toastie which was nice and a black coffee this came to over £10 . EXPENSIVE . Then I had a fruit scone with butter , it was the hardest driest most tasteless thing I have ever eaten . It tasted like it had been quarried not baked . My friend had a carrot cake , which wasnt home made and tasted full of preservatives . Yuk .Yuk. Yuk . Find somewhere else to eat . Anywhere else .

As a family with the Corbridge name we had to call into the village on our way home from Seahouses and what a wonderful village it is. Thanks to a local recommendation we had a family lunch at the Tea & Tipple and it proved an inspired choice. The food was great (my prawn sandwiches were lovely) and the service was very efficient and friendly and the whole experience was first class. We highly recommend this cafe.

This is a pleasant little tea room facing Corbridge Church and is worth a visit if you fancy a coffee and cake. A friendly waitress greeted me when I came in and asked for a window seat and showed me a selection of cakes. I chose the date slice, which was full of dates and tasted excellent, and at £2.50 won't break the bank. Also my capuccino was nice and warmed me up on a cold, wet day.

Good cakes and tea, Did not try coffee this time but hot chocolate was at correct temperature and tasty. Carrot cakes and ice creams were tried and were excellent. Was quite spacious inside so was opportunity for one way system. This is a stand out for this tea room in the current climate for social distancing, making neighbouring tea shops feel cramped by comparison . Only slight drawback was a shortage of outdoor tables. Overall very good food drink and service.

We'd walked a good 6 miles or so and needed a coffee , we had walked around the whole of Corbridge sniffing out the coffee and Tea and Tipple were the only cafe where the coffee smelt great from outside, ( it works, try it, only drink coffee that smells good from outside, you won't be dissapponted) Well organised, safe environment, no food left as they had had a very busy afternoon, but the coffee was FANTASTIC, one of the nicest cups in a takeaway coffee for a while. Lovely friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and to add, all the paper cups were compostible too , excellent , good luck in this difficult time, you deserve to do well, finger crossed next time we are early enough for treats,

Tea & Tipple need to improve the menu (and actually have a menu)as the other cafes in the village are far better and as we are local we are lucky to have this choice! Also the lady serving didn’t seem to be very happy with her job (the younger girls in there are much friendlier). We've tried the Tea & Tipple many times and always felt that whist the service isn't the best, the food and coffee are pretty good and worth the visit. Our latest visit tests this theory given that the service remains poor, bordering dreadful and food would appear to be going down hill too. They struggled to get an order of toast, scones and coffee's correct and frankly didn't seem too worried either!I struggle to understand this place and can only assume that the owners aren't really that bothered and don't feel that customer service is important. On that basis, neither will we and we shall not bother again.

Our introduction to this country pub was to a spacious, comfortable, immaculately clean bedroom, with stunning views of the fells. Next dinner and cooking of Michelin quality. A highlight was the scallop with belly pork, a brilliant dish. Next morning breakfast, again flawless in every respect from the service to the produce. Any prospective dining pub owner/chef should come here to see how it's done.

My partner & I came here on Sunday for a spot of lunch we both had Fish & Chips ( I had salad with mine instead of chips) I have to say the fish was amazing I would say 100 times better than you would get at a fish shop. The batter was so light & crispy and the fish tasted so good. The staff made us feel so welcome happy smiling faces and we did not have to wait long before our food came I would whole heartily recommend plants plus for lunch
