Normally this is the place I go for fish and chips, pizza etc, good selection and usually good quality. Not on this occassion, just after 5pm on 08/05/24. Chips were terrible, as if they had been from lunchtime plus there was a hair in them, which unfortunately entered my mouth. The hair was not mine as I have short hair. It will be some time before I even consider returning.

Worst chippy ive ever had chips were really hard n dry looked days old, fish was dry you couldnt eat it cost a fortune and it went in bin our 4 year old grandson wouldnt even touch his, avoid we wont be back for sure

Went bank holiday Monday, was looking forward to a lovely tea,, never again will they get our money, thick batter on the dry crumbly fish, really awful most of it went in the bin,

Food was absolutely lovely. Ordered on two separate occasions and both lovely. Pizzas are better than any kebab shop and the chips are lovely & crispy. Great portion sizes. We will definitely be back.

Decent food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. My only point to improve would be for the staff to write the order down. Anything more than 2 items they forget and often I'll return to collect order with them forgetting or having to confirm things again.

Easily the best chip shop in Bedlington. Staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. Foods good too! No complaints from me.

Burnt and disgusting food 🤮🤮. Wrapped chicken bites with sausage king rib and spam and none of it's edible. Looks like they've burnt all of it apart from the chips 🤮🤢 called them to tell them and the lovely lady said that's nice and hung up. More 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Avoid Avoid

Just had the worst Fish & Chips EVER - overcooked, dry fish, the batter was burnt on the underside. Struggled to cut the fish with a normal knife, think a steak knife would have been slightly better! Who needs a steak knife for fish & chips!!!!!!

Update: The only safe chip shop with consistently good food in Bedlington. Prices really do need to come down though, potatoes really don't cost that much.

Used to be a great chippy but tonight service was poor and portion sizes of the chips has halved. Charged for my order in full but when I got home an item was missing inside the wrapping. Not worth the bother going back. Will try other chippy 's in future.

Mobys isn’t the best chip shop around but it’s handy for us, so we keep popping in now and then when needs must. Pizzas and kebabs etc seems to be the order of the day here now, as they’re taking over the menu board and the traditional side of the shop. To me, you’re either a fish n chip shop or not. This is a hit and miss type of place. Every now and then you’ll get lovely fish n chips from here, but unfortunately it’s a rarity. Like tonight, usually it’s dry chips (which copious amounts of vinegar can’t even rectify) and thin fish of which the freshness has to be questioned. Tonights went in the bin halfway through. Been coming here since I was a kid and I think it’s been owned by the same people for many years. The staff are second to none and great craic, but even that’s not enough to make me want to come back again. 40yrs I think, but I’ve been so disappointed lately. Shame.

Good food at a decent price. There is a good range of options and they cook some stuff fresh to order. Everything you would expect from a chip shop but done well.

Two bags of chips with curry sauce £7.60 used to be very generous portion size now a portion would fit on a tea plate about a third of previous portion size. Very dissatisfied with portion size was still hungry. Not good value for money

Three times now had cod bites and chips the chips were hard and the cod bites were like old boots will not be going back there .

This is the third time I had cod bites peas and chips the chips were hard and just warm the cod bites were tough as old boots have they changed their fryers or something very poor fir the money that we paid will not be going back will go to kings down the station .

Good selection as its not just fish and chips. Disappointed with my last order of chips and sausage but I'm sure it's just a one off. No place can be perfect every time. Usually plenty of parking outside. It has a modern look inside and staff are all friendly.

We'd been busy on Tuesday so my wife suggested getting food from here, used numerous times before and food had usually been OK. She got a tray of kebab meat while I had a donner kebab and salad, we both left most of it as it swimming in grease and not very nice. Both us were feeling ill after about an hour, without going into detail we've now been 'ill' for 2 days, standards have slipped for sure. We will never use again!

Pizzas are the best! All of it is the best. Best chippy in bedlington. Staff are mint.

Moby Dicks serves generous portions of food. Piping hot and very tasty. Pizzas 2 for £5.50 are well worth the money too. Very friendly staff who always find time to chat to you while you wait. A visit is a must !

Saw a rat run through the kitchen when heading in to pick up my order. The staff joked saying they'd normally trap them under a bucket. This place should be shut down.

We are blessed with a great number of fish bars but Moby Dicks is by far the best. Our got meal is king rib and chips, where can you feed two people with fresh cooked food for £6? Portions are always decent and service is great.

Although the prices may have have risen in recent years, the quality and size of portion has remained the same and is always a good choice

Love the food from here. Would rather travel for good fish and chips and a really good kebab.

Went here last week for a change, usually it's very nice but hadn't been for ages. The fish was incredibly dry as was my fishcake which was almost inedible. I won't be returning as it was nearly 3 pound dearer than Kings for 2 meals. Chips were OK though

Been here on two occassions visiting my family and had the fish and chips and it was delicious.cant wait to try more on the menu.its good to find a quality fish shop.im from northamptonshire and wasnt sure where to go but my sister said try mobys and i will be visiting again when im in the area.oh yeh plus the staff very pleasant and friendly.

Staff are always freindly and I have never had a bad meal from here no matter what I have ordered, my favourite in particular is the kebabs, best in Bedlington by far.
