Just had a lovely fresh bacon sandwich here and a lovely coffee. Fast, friendly service at an extremely good price. Also in a lovely quiet setting. Will definitely be using this cafe more. Highly recommend. 100% good.

Great little cafe to visit on the Tyne Green. I will park at the bottom and enjoy a walk up via the Riverside, but there’s also a car park opposite which I use when it’s wet. Staff very friendly and service is always with a smile.

Location is fantastic for a quick stop off / bite to eat or a drink. .however, I found service to be painfully slow and the price expensive for what it was (coffee and slice of cake for around £7.) The disabled toilets are pretty difficult to use and not all the doorways are wheelchair friendly. Given this is at the end of the tyne green park there is so much more potential. I hope the owners are able to take this on board. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Been a regular visitor to what was a lovely friendly cafe with excellent service, until today. Visit spoilt by rude staff. Changes since my last visit, always called for service using pad on table, did not see small notice behind me. Sullen boy clearing tables saw us waiting & said nothing about ordering inside, another customer told us. Placed my order at bar & mentioned change in ordering system, guy said, "change is good, if you don't change you never move forward". I'm all for change but this meant I had to order myself & pay for 3 people as they only had cards, no cash. I had to carry drinks a good way to terrace outside then collect meals myself 40 minutes after ordering. Change can be good but making your customers do all the work is hardly "moving forward" for them!!! A little bit of courtesy in explaining changes would have helped, especially as 100% table service has turned into 100% self service. I will think twice about returning to this place which we'd all previously enjoyed & recommended.

Three weeks ago on a Saturday we had lunch today and I must say was really disapointed. From the menu we choose; Currywurst and a Bacon, brie, red onlion panini, with a tea and diet coke. We both felt that your menu sounded good but when the meals were delivered we were so let down the food portion size, quality and presentation was just a joke ! Although sitting in your covered outdoor area food being served in a cardboard takeaway box at prices you charge is just not acceptable. In Hexham your competition most other cafes just offers better all-round, even Hexham's take away grill on the main high street offers better quality & value. In this climate its harder to attract new customers than retain and we like probably others will not be returning to your venue. I do hope you take review as feedback to improve your offering currently how you are serving your meals, prices should be more £4.50-£4.95. If I was a business owner I would rather hear what customers are saying rather then wondering where they are and being quiet. In the age of protecting the planet, serving food in cardboard takeaway boxes with plastic cutlery can't be good for the environment and especially unacceptable when dining in. Also the two young members of staff working although friendly, did not attempt any upsell of products nor know how to handle a customer's query a simple "sorry to hear that and I shall inform the manager of your comments" would have been most appreciated. I tried to email venue with complaint but email bounced back I do hope you take these comments on as your venue does have so much to offer.

5 stars seems excessive but there was nothing to dislike here. The public cafe doubles as a 9 hole golf course pro shop. The food was perfectly OK although tea served in a ‘go cup’ jarred somewhat. The outside tables were a nice touch. Popular with locals probably says it all

The cafe is part of the golf club. You are apparently expected to order at the bar but there are no signs to indicate this. I sat for quite a while near the cafe entrance where others were having their food and drink. I then went and found the kitchen door and checked that they were still serving. Eventually a waitress came to clear the other tables and she asked me whether I would like to be served there! All that's needed is a simple sign to tell you to order at the bar and which also indicates where that is. I had a lovely cup of coffee but the cake was disappointing as it was rather dry.

It was Ok but nothing to write home about. Incorporated into the Hexham golf club house it offers a reasonable selection of simple food at reasonable prices. The Panini's we had were simple and tasty but the accompanying salad bowl could have been so much better. I ordered a cup of Earle grey tea and my husband ordered a coffee. My cup was the size of a large cup that you would expect from Costa - just to give you an example. I’m certainly not a snob, but would have expected a smaller cup and a teapot - not just a huge cup and saucer! As soon as my husband arrived with our drinks, the fire or other alarm went off, adding to the noise of the busy road and the chatter of a couple sitting in very close proximity to us. Always a bone of contention, the area looking over the golf course, were the smokers! As it was a lovely day, we wanted to drink out beverages outside, so sat on the small patio overlooking the road and haulage depot. The carpet inside the conservatory was disgustingly marked - enough to put me off visiting again. It could be a really pleasant place if the owners put in decent hard wearing wooden flooring and brought the tables and chairs up to date. Would certainly not recommend this place.

Following our last visit to Cafe Enna - we were once again impressed with the warm welcome and outstanding customer service. As before we were meeting up with friends, so we commandeered a table for 10 in the conservatory. We all chose various items from the menu, and again we were delighted with our late lunch. We were so delighted with our long drawn out meal; we were busy chatting and catching up, that it went on for three and a half hours. We just carried on talking and ordering refills of well-brewed coffee and ice cold lager etc. When we came to leave we discovered that a couple of toddlers in the group had dropped crisps and accidentally trod them into the carpet, we asked for a dustpan and brush to clean the mess up, but the staff wouldn't hear of it and advised us that they would take care of it. Again a brilliant example of outstanding customer service. If you are in the Tyne Green area of Hexham, I wholeheartedly recommend that you call in for food or drinks.

Ideally placed for a coffee, light lunch or a full meal. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered Brie and Red Onion wraps - they were delicious, freshly made and oozing molten cheese, accompanied by a freshly dressed side salad. A good selection of coffees and other beverages were on offer - our order included a gingerbread latte, hot hazelnut chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream as well as other soft and alcoholic drinks. We had a fabulous lunch. We chose the “light bite” menu and had chips on the side. The menu was varied and suited all of us. I must say that the Chicken Caesar Flatbread was superb. The staff were lovely, so friendly and efficient. They ensured that a disabled parking space would be available for my husband, in fact they went above and beyond. The pub was very busy even though it was Monday lunchtime. Perhaps the sunshine brought people outside. We will definitely choose The Angel again as a delightful place to meet with our friends.

Take out Fish and chips at their very best! That's almost all that needs to be said. Don't expect to run in grab a bag of chips and run out, my experience is that food is cooked to order. Fish bigger than the dinner plate we put them on and enough chips to feed a family. Absolutely delicious fresh Haddock, such a happy change from the thawed out weeks old frozen dross served by many inner city F&C shops. Not the cheapest (obvs) but recommended without hesitation.
