Thought we'd give this place a second chance but really wish we hadn't bothered.I really thought given all the awful reviews on Google and trip advisor they may have upped their game ,but sadly not,they clearly don't care about their customers opinion.The one star is for the view and lovely decor,but they are the only positives.The staff are so unfriendly and one in particular was quite rude to us.The food is very expensive for low quality ingredients and the wait times are ridiculous.They could really do with some customer service training as most of the staff appear to not want to be there which is reflected in their attitude.Wont be giving them a 3rd chance as they clearly have no intention of taking on board their awful reviews and improving things .

Great if you like being ignored by the staff while the do on line orders for 20 mins, even though uou asked if another customer was waiting said she's waiting for fish, I wasn't wanting fish, I walked out as my time is mine not the staff plenty of other takeaways in Wallsend.

If you like eating out of date or cheap food this is the place for you, vile. You can see him shopping and buying all the cheap crap in Wallsend, coffee from Asda cost 99p a jar and charging £2 a mug, shocking, stay well clear if you have any redecorate for what you put into your body, filth

Went here for my birthday at the start of the month. Service was great and the food was expensive but nice. Seen the prices creep up here recently so it’s good for a treat but not practical for regular visits as we used to.

Good pub, decent food with slow service but completely spoiled by every table, dirty full of empty plates and glasses. Quite quiet because people are coming in and are unable to find a clean table to sit at. We were in a few weeks ago and it was exactly the same. We won't go back until it's improved.

Have reviewed 29 bar and Kitchen before and was not impressed then, We decided to give them a 2nd chance after a walk in Tyne mouth, On Tuesday afternoon. That really was a bad idea, there was no one in, that should of been a warning sigh, but the biggest problem and complaint I had was the bar man standing on the bar walking along it with shoes on and no covering on the bar, cleaning the brass glass rake with the glasses still in the rake, This should NEVER be done when the bar is open, if it needs cleaned then do it out of opening hours it is not a important part of the cleaning, ( I just hope they wash all these Glasses before they use them ), There was people coming in and walking back out and to be honest I don’t blame them, I wish we had. I also suspect the other reason that it is empty is because most people only come in the watch the sport on tv as the tv are permanently on sports channels, there is no atmosphere the staff are unfriendly, if fact it seems like an effort for them to serve you, this does not make an inviting and pleasant place to spend your money and time, I am sorry to say as all places need our support, But we will not be give them a third chance. Come on bar and Kitchen wake up you have the potential for a cosy enjoyable pub you just don’t seem to care, or is it the chain pub that owns this bar don’t care, and the staff have lost all intressed

Owner has a disgusting attitude and I was made to feel very unwelcome. First time visited and will definitely be the last.

Absolutely disgusting chips hard and dirty looking, young staff needed winding up they had 1 speed very slow! Took grandchildren for lunch cost £34 seagulls had a feast. Avoid at all costs.

The quality has changed at last! the food is fresher and tastes even better! and is defiantly worth paying extra for. The portion sizes are great, ideal for sharing between two!

There are so many coffee shops in Whitley Bay, and Boodles has identified a niche in serving boba. However every time we have been they never ever have the brown sugar boba (which I think is the most popular flavour?!) One time we were even told they only serve that on a Saturday which sounds bizarre?! Also when sitting in for a coffee I really don’t like being served it in a cardboard cup, I’d prefer a proper mug or cup.
