There are so many coffee shops in Whitley Bay, and Boodles has identified a niche in serving boba. However every time we have been they never ever have the brown sugar boba (which I think is the most popular flavour?!) One time we were even told they only serve that on a Saturday which sounds bizarre?! Also when sitting in for a coffee I really don’t like being served it in a cardboard cup, I’d prefer a proper mug or cup.

We ordered 2 drinks. Waitresses both on their phones. We sat outside. Only got one very strange tasting smoothy. The cup of tea didn't arrive. Went in to check. The girl who had forgotten to make it, was on her phone. Love supporting local businesses, but won't be back here.

The quality has changed at last! the food is fresher and tastes even better! and is defiantly worth paying extra for. The portion sizes are great, ideal for sharing between two!

Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. I’m gluten free and they have nice gluten free options. I had the shepherds pie; honestly the best shepherds pie I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend 😊

We have been going to Beaches & Cream for years and always love it. Today was really disappointing. We arrived at 2.30, nobody greeted us, we had to ask if we could sit down, there were several tables dirty despite 5 staff and lots of empty tables. When we approached the counter to order, we were told the kitchen was closed. You’d think they’d tell customers this before they sat down. One girl was taking orders and having to prepare the order and take it out, whilst 3 other visible staff were chatting, this caused unnecessary wait times. One waiter was hovering around tables, too close, making conversation uncomfortable. It was a really disappointing experience and not what we have come to expect from past experience, we travel over half an hour to go there and wish we hadn’t made the effort. I’m not sure why the kitchen closed so early, if we had known, we could’ve gone elsewhere, but more importantly, we should’ve been told as soon as we came in.

Came here whilst in the area . I had the mince and dumplings ( more gravy than mince , watery mash ) , my wife had the chicken and ham pie ( she wasn't impressed with that either) . When asked about the dessert list, I was told there's a menu on the bar , and basically, go get it yourself . I had the cheesecake, which was OK ( to much middle and not enough top to make the tast of the cheesecake stand out , the wife had the sponge with custard which the sponge was cold , obviously just heated up in the microwave . Will not go here ever again.
