I just visited this pub for one beer. The selection of beers are good, and the price is nice. I love Wetherspoons, but this is not my favorite. The location was dark and it looked a bit untidy. It is a safe place and I might come back one day and try their food also. But I do prefer some of the other pubs in the area.

As with all 'spoons, this is nice basic food at a good price. We found a clear table straight away on a Saturday evening. It was busy enough to have a good atmosphere and we still had prompt service using the app to order. Nice and clean, polite staff. No complaints

Really enjoyed our meal here, locals are friendly and so are the staff 10/10

Outside was a bit untidy unclean near the bin area.

Great meeting place, typical wetherspoon, busy, good prices in the centre of Whitley Bay, bus stops & metro only over the road.

Nice place, usual spoons. Toilets are up 2 flights of stairs tho. No lift.

Reguars here with family for breakfast - won't be going back until you switch off the air conditioning inside it's freezing Everyone sitting with coats in is a big clue in July.........

Wether spoons is a great company. I love it. I tryy to be sparing with 5 stars but it is great. Ps I wish I went for the large breakfast option, I'll know for next time 😉

Comfortable bar and seating area outside , had a couple of meals Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, both fine and price fair , good selection of drinks and all a bit cheaper than my local Wetherspoons

Visited fire station today july 24... There was myself and a very small dog.... I got drinks for me and my partner and five mins later a young man came to our table which was on the street at the opening to the the pub.... He asked us to leave as we had the dog with us.... I said we had just bought our drinks... He gave us 5 mins to drink them and leave. The table we sat at had just been vacated by a couple with a big bull dog and a small dog the lady told me they had just had a couple drinks and where leaving We where sat out side so could not see what the problem was Wont be going back there

Haven't been for a while as it used to be a nit shabby but seems to have been tidied up, good selection of beers

came here for the match on wednesday 10/07/24 and the staff were great especially jade. she kindly came over as we had a under 18 with us and it was past 9PM and said he could stay for the rest of the match and i went to the same rester-aunt on friday 12th july at 19:20PM and she kindly came over again and said that if we was thinking about coming to watch the match again on sunday the under 18 could come again and watch the whole of the match, so pleased with this resteraunt. will definitely be visiting again.

My Son says they have a really nice bathroom here. Haha. Been in a few times over our stay here in Whitley Bay. Found a few real ales and craft beers I haven't had before. Played some boardgames with the kids, and stopped in for breakfast today. Few separate areas, with their own feel and atmosphere. Bright and light inside with large windows on either side. Nice place.

Fire station was really lovely. Good food and drink at good prices. The fire station was clean enough, it was busy and had to ask for table to be cleared and wiped over. Some of the staff was pleasant and polite.one person serving he was so happy. The toilets are upstairs but they do have accessible toilet downstairs, just ask for key or for door to be un locked. They have accessible entrance. The fire station is 5 mins walk from whitley Bay metro and local bus service runs close by. Few local shops close by and couple more pubs and you'd be about 10-15mins walk from beach. Been here few times and will definitely be back. I have come here with family and friends 😊x Still great food at great prices, they were quick this time to clear and clean the table Lovely curry you get lot for your money, really worth it 🙂

Always a good place for great value food with a decent choice of beer in Whitley Bay, Food is pretty decent but as with most Wetherspoons, portion size can vary. Overall excellent!

We went for drinks with some colleagues on a very hot day. The place is very well located about 200 meters from the boulevard. It is a very large place, with an area outside and inside. It is very busy, especially with many young people. The quality of the cocktails is not the best, as is the presentation, but it is good to drink and not too expensive.

We always go to a Wetherspoons whenever we go somewhere new. We liked this one with the Newcastle paintings on the walls.

I came in with my friend and we wanted to watch the football and have a couple of drinks we ordered food and drinks to the table and a man came over saying we have to leave because one of the staff feels uncomfortable even through we were just sat watching the football? even though its my friends local place to go as she lives in Whitley bay they said we would get a refund and no refund haven’t got our money back!!!! a very weird experience!!!!

Always enjoy here or Gosforth and wallsend but I don't get in this day and age why haven't they got a small section to let dogs in or even let them in the outside area this is a lot of footfall going past these places and a lot of money lost a family and dog will spend a lot of money

Very good all round altho the air conditioning was to high had to change our table was very cold. Very good waitress who divered out food.

Always love wetherspoon establishments however, this one did not impress me. It was a sunny Sunday, and there was a bunch of young lads sat on a table behind us, getting drunker, louder, rowdy, disruptive, very bad language! Rather than stop this, one girl who works there went and had her break near them and joined in with their antics. An elderly couple near us kept looking at them and looking around. I wondered if I should say something to a member of staff but I didn't see anyone over the age of 20 by the looks of it and they all heard them but said nothing, they didnt care. So we finished our one drink, left and went somewhere else for food.

Bog standard spoons experience with the bonus of a cool lil fireman in the middle. Convenient location to nip to the beach afterwards

We ate twice in in this wetherspoons first meal was very good but the second meal my wife had was terrible steak pudding and mash, sent it back, the same again pastry that needed a hammer and chisel to cut it and mashed potatoes that were carbonised in a microwave. Having said the above this is a clean well organised pub.

Would score 0 if I could. We didn't eat there but my husband and I had our 2 dogs...1 a care dog and the other one not. We decided to sit outside because we had our dogs with us. I went inside to order food for myself, my hubby and a treat for the dogs only to be told that dogs arr not allowed. I told the bartender that we are sittong outside and one of the dogs is a cate dog. He said care dogs are allowed but other dogs are not allowed on the premises, not even outside. I left, told my husband and a couple overheard and couldn't believe it either. Needless to say...their policy stinks because we were sitting outside!!!

Very quick service. Food is always served hot and is delicious. Always a good choice of hand pulled ales.

Not much difference to any other Spoons but food was good and great service. Be nice if there was more history as a fire station. Definitely go again.

Struggled to find anything open in Whitley Bay lunchtime but happened on this by chance and really enjoyed it. Huge extensive menu and very reasonable prices, the service was very prompt and the food was good value. Liked the idea of serving small portions but with prosecco alongside.

We always go here for food and a drink when in the area. It's our go to place. Good food, quick service. Always a buzz in the atmosphere. Great prices. Mixed grill and Currys are my favourites.

BBQ pizza was lovely, slice I had was delicious, only reason for the 4 star was because it didn't come sliced. 100 percent recommend this place though!

Unfortunately they asked us to leave because they said one of our company where out of order but would not tell us who or why that was after we had spent over £80. BYE the way all of our company were pensioners

It’s a Wetherspoons, what more can you say. Exceptionally well priced compared to every other pub. Decent enough food & drink, efficient staff. Becoming a more regular place for us to visit despite a long walk.

Went to this pub 2 nights on the bounce, whilst working in Whitley Bay. The pub is, as described, a former fire station. Its clean and tidy, with all the usual trappings that you come to expect from a Wetherspoons pub. The food was reasonably priced and good quality. The bar staff were on point, and very attentive. All in all, I'd have no problem recommending this pub.👍🏼

Staff are polite and professional good choice of drinks and plenty of places to sit inside and out. Prices are very reasonable, only downside is that the toilets are a bit of a trek upstairs, very clean though. Had a great afternoon I'd definitely recommend this place.

In for breakfast with a friend. You get a lot for the little you pay. Food is reasonably good without being anything to write home about, was hot when it arrived. Tables weren't particularly clean, which wasn't great given that it was dead. Room was pretty cold.

I have been a few times now and I have been disappointed with the cleanliness of knives and forks and I have had dirty plates. To top things off I was served snotty fried egg not good.

As you know I'm not a big fan of wetherspoons mainly because of the atmosphere and the food,didn't touch the food but had 4 pints of carling which was the nicest pint I've had in a long time ⌛️ the atmosphere was second to none staff were excellent

It's a great .meeting venue with reasonable priced alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Excellent menu choice and is always hot. Staff are attentive and always pleasant.

As expected. Warm until about 8pm then security staff propped doors open. Cold wind blowing in. Someone closed them then staff opened them again. Left cos it was cold

It's a Spoons, so you know what to expect in regards to food and drink and price (this one is on the lower end of the spoons pricing range). The real draw is the exquisite teal green fire station building it is within!

Good food, nice selection on the carvery, could have been hotter 1st visit , however piping hot the 2nd visit next day

Pleasant atmosphere on a late Friday night. Not a great beer range, but beers I had perfectly acceptable. Good service from bar and door staff.

There are more chiefs than indians in this place and some definitely think they are more important than the customers. They have a penchant for being rude and discourteous to older people, and have a banning policy that borders on the ridiculous. Locals are regularly treat with contempt.

Went in for a Breakfast muffin deal and really enjoyed it. Bottomless coffee and the place was nice and warm. Very welcome on a cold day. Thank you!

Stopped off here for a quick one whilst in whitley Bay. Nice place, very friendly and warm. Had a quick game of bingo while we were here with the locals it was good fun

Served up a curry with cold rice complained. It was taken off and reheated..when I complained I didn't want the same rice reheated twice.the kitchen boy rolled his eyed.. supposedly gave me a fresh portion !! Ignorant.rude.disgusting food..staff need training in basic hygiene.. and hue to reheat rice so it's safe to eat..basic stuff..
