Great service. Jason and staff were really friendly and the service was good. We enjoyed our food both at breakfast and our evening meal.

Usually love Chapters but the owners and chefs have got the ordering system completely wrong! Lovely young lady on the till said to about 5 of us in the queue that she couldn't take food orders as it was busy, the board wasn't big enough to hold the orders for the chefs to get through (?), would we go back in 2-5 mins to order but we could order drinks. Got our drinks in good time, kept an eye on the Queue, new customers came in and got their food orders taken. I re joined the queue, was next in line and told sorry we aren't taking food orders can you come back in 2 mins!!! The better way would be to explain to customers there is a waiting time but still take the order, which gives the customer a choice of waiting or not. I ended off leaving our drinks and asking for a refund. The staff were lovely and it's not their fault, it's the process that is not customer friendly, you are causing your own problems which is a crazy way to run a business?! We went to Treats in Silver Street instead which had fabulous customer service and great food.

Lovely wetherspoons pub situated in Crook often pop in for something to eat with a drink food is not high end, put the food what is served to us always very nice and presented well.

Great pub always busy as a weatherspoons always is and there is a lot of students that come here. But still a good pub for all.

I have same issue I have sent my application special delivery guaranteed and it says delivered and signed but when I keep calling them they say nothing on the system. We want answers because we have paid for the service what’s wrong with you people. Is there any management or they not bothered to sort people applications

Vinimos en un día muy soleado y habíamos pasado por este pub antes. Un tipo estaba poniendo mesas cuando pasamos y entramos en el mercado. Cuando salimos todos los asientos estaban llenos. Por dentro estaba muy bien hecho, mi compañero tenía el bistec y pastel de cerveza y yo tenía los scampi con patatas fritas. Ambas comidas eran muy sabrosas, incluso tenía un poco de su salsa en mis patatas fritas! El servicio fue rápido y un buen menú variado, sin duda volveremos cuando visitemos Durham.

Stopped here a couple of times for warming hot chocolate. Staff were polite and the toasties were very nice too

Ordered two 'Croque Monsieur' and what arrived was two ham and cheese toasties lathered in poor quality English mustard? Why English Mustard? With stale crisps and wilted lettuce. Very poor and given the price quite surprising, especially given that there are numerous much nicer cafés in the city. Staff rather surly as well.
