Mi esposa y yo tuvimos el placer de pasar un domingo relajante en The Gore Hotel, cenando en el elegante e histórico entorno de 190 Queen’s Gate, y fue realmente una experiencia memorable. El ambiente es cálido, refinado y lleno de encanto del viejo mundo, marcando el tono perfecto para lo que resultó ser una comida excepcional elaborada por el galardonado chef Frederick Forster. Chef Forster aporta un toque contemporáneo al clásico asado dominical británico, utilizando solo los mejores ingredientes, y cada plato que probamos reflejaba arte y precisión. Para empezar, tomé el Salmón Ahumado Loch Duart con Aguacate Hass Marinado. El salmón era increíblemente fresco, rico en sabor pero delicado, y se combinaba maravillosamente con el aguacate cremoso y maduro, una combinación simple elevada por calidad y presentación. Mi esposa eligió la Ensalada de Espárragos Verdes y Queso de Cabra con un vibrante Puré de Pimienta Piquillo. Los espárragos estaban tiernos con el crujiente justo, y el queso de cabra era suave y lujoso. La verdadera sorpresa fue el puré de pimienta: dulce, ahumado y lleno de sabor, que unió el plato perfectamente. Para la alimentación principal, optamos por la Ribeye de Carne Asada de 28 días y la Corona de Pollo Alimentado con Maíz con Manteca de Hierba. La carne estaba maravillosamente tierna, cocinada de forma mediana con una profundidad de sabor que solo el envejecimiento y el asado adecuados pueden proporcionar. El pollo era jugoso y fragante, con la mantequilla de hierbas agregando una riqueza salada que hacía que cada bocado fuera delicioso. Ambos platos venían con todos los adornos tradicionales — patatas asadas crujientes y esponjosas, arce dulce — zanahorias glaseadas, un pudín de Yorkshire gigante y dorado, y un generoso vertido de salsa rica y reconfortante. Fue una cena asada hecha a la perfección. Y vale la pena señalar que hay opciones halal disponibles, lo que era ideal para nosotros. Para terminar, compartimos dos postres exquisitos. La Tarta de ruibarbo de chocolate blanco fue un contraste maravilloso de texturas y sabores: pastelería mantecosa, relleno de chocolate blanco cremoso y ruibarbo de tarta que cortó la dulzura maravillosamente. La Pavlova era ligera y ventilada, cubierta con crema de vainilla aterciopelada y una compota de bayas rojas que agregaba un estallido fresco y resistente. Un final perfecto para una comida perfecta. Un agradecimiento especial a Marius y Andreea, que proporcionaron un servicio impecable en todo momento. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y cuidados, añadiendo un toque personal que hizo la tarde aún más agradable. Si estás buscando un lugar en Londres que combine buena comida, servicio excepcional y un entorno histórico, The Gore Hotel es una experiencia que no te puedes perder. Nos fuimos, ya planeando nuestro regreso.

We booked the kitchen and bar restaurant a couple of weeks in advance notifying them that we would be using our Jumeirah One £100 voucher that we exchanged with our points. We were warmly greeted and sat straight away. Service was very good, though empty inside. We ordered the salt and pepper squid to start which was very nice. Then for mains we had the king prawn linguine which was very nice though lacked any real flavour. Maybe a touch of chilli or something to give it a slight kick. We also had the mixed grill with lamb kofta, chicken skewers and diced lamb. Unfortunately the diced lamb was tough. Surely use lamb neck fillet. Chewy as stewing lamb. Shame. Rest was very nice. Then we came to pay. I said we were paying with a Jumeirah One voucher. My phone was taken to prove the code, we never saw the bill! Then there were a total of four people trying to sort it. Eventually I was told that the voucher couldn’t be found and could I email an address to prove the code. Really. Finally I said I would give it 5 more minutes or walk out. Had enough. Finally I was given the thumbs up that it had been accepted. Still no bill!! And I have now found out that they have deducted not only one voucher but also another £100 voucher without my consent (and I believe the bill was about £90). All in all an embarrassment of an ending. Shame. I await an apology, my second £100 back and maybe some kind of reimbursement too for the problems!!!

Beautiful pub, very good food And a cherry cider bot

We started with a nice drink and were enjoying the place. When we went back up and asked for a Southern Comfort, the big bearded barman sneered at us like we’d personally offended him. He made my partner feel really small and kept shaking his head and pulling faces for everyone to see — it was rude, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. I cancelled the drinks and we went elsewhere. I regret not calling him out on it there and then, but this review will have to do. Lovely pub, great setting — ruined by a barman with a bad attitude.

Quite elegantly furnished restaurant. Food looks good and the drinks taste good too, except for the coffee (had coffee, lemonade and cake). However, it is quite noisy and the conditions are quite disorganized and slow. 20 minutes passed between the first and last person in our group receiving their order. We thought it was a shame. Unfortunately, the coffee mentioned above tastes stale.

Lovely small traditional British pub, with friendly staff and a great selection of beers on tap. Will definitely come again

We had a lovely tea here with our tour guide, Michael. Variety of tasty finger sandwiches, chicken curry was Devine. Breads/clotted cream/jam was delicious & mini sweets superb. Wonderful, relaxing afternoon treat. Highly recommend. Variety of hot teas for every taste.

Waitress Teresa was very friendly and helpful food came up quickly and was well cooked and good quality we had ribs, haddock and chips and half rotisserie chicken

Fui a desayunar el otro día y me decepcionó. -sin huevos revueltos -sin zumo de naranja fresco -sin salsa marrón Huevos Benedicto no era fresco en absoluto. Jamón en paquete acuoso con salsa mínima y un huevo demasiado cocido. Volvimos más tarde para almorzar, ya que estuvimos en el parque todo el día. Lucharon para hacer frente a lo ocupado que estaba, aunque había un par de empleados que eran muy serviciales. Diciendo eso, las pizzas y bebidas eran buenas, y no se puede superar su increíble ubicación.

It was a lovely treat I was joined by my colleague and had an overall pleasant experience. I went for the chicken tikka masala and It was delightful and to top it off I had a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Two of my favourites and motcomb did its job.
