Disappointed by the welcome and service overall. Please go somewhere else if you want a classy experience. Very very disappointed! We had reservation for afternoon tea, weeks before, confirmed twice before the arrival day. We arrive 10 min before our slot. I would like to mention that we choose the place based on recommendations that it has “impeccable” service. Well, Let me tell you. At the entrance the person who was at the reception, responsible to greet and welcome the guests, he pretends he doesn’t notice us at all. He sees us then he quickly turns away, pretending he is busy. I thought, ok, someone else is going to assist us. I felt awkward because I knew I shouldn’t be in the line for takeaway but because nobody approached us, I choose to stay on the takeaway side, looking very confused, for sure. The person at the welcome desk decides to say hi at this point and asks us if we want take away. I said no, we have reservation for afternoon tea. At this point I could see he collected himself a bit and started to act like he cares suddenly. Well… he showed us to the afternoon tea welcome desk, asked for my name- totally unnecessary at this point. Ok fine. Awkward, very superficial treatment, felt uncomfortable. At our table the waitress was sweet but then another 2 waiters started serving us, telling us different stories about what is going to be served, palate cleansers etc that just DID NOT arrive to our table, again adding to the confusion and awkwardness. The person who served us the sweets literally told us that after we finished with the savory dishes, palate cleanser follows. Nothing like that, we were waiting awkwardly in between savory and sweet dishes. Next, 2 people arrived to the table next to us as guests… the same person who refused to notice us, makes a big welcome back scene with these guests, so loud that the whole salon could hear it. Ok. From then on, these guests were talking so loud, we had the feeling that we are sitting at the same table. We left quickly, very disappointed. We expected a classy classic experience. What we got was a cheap, ordinary service that left us feeling bitter to be honest. We travelled the world, been to the best restaurants but here we wasted both our time money and nerves. Raise your standards.

I am the sort of person who loves a Harvester so this experience was faintly terrifying for me as I was scared I'd feel uncomfortable and out of my depth. I needn't have worried. The staff were warm and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, there was no pretention on display, and they explained the courses without jargon or fancy terms. Phew! As for the food - well it was wonderful. Beautifully presented with amazing flavours. It's extremely expensive as you would expect for a high-end restaurant, but for a special occasion in an intimate setting, you may be hard pushed to find better.

By Far one of the worst experinces ever. Bad service, they forgot half the food and waited till it came in, while the rest of the food got cold, no apology. Questioned why the bill was seperated and ended up having the waiter argue, that it was we ordered. Highly recommend you save your money and have breakfast somewhere else.

one of the best afternoon tea in London. located in the lobby bar of the COMO hotel Halkin, the high tea offers unique Indonesian flavor high tea. The Shambhala high tea is only ₤55 per person before 20% VAT and 12.5% service charge. we had the reservation, but the whole time there were only two other tables having drinks there. The space doesnt look very fancy. the table for four person is a bit tight for all the food needs to be on the table, there's barely space for the tea, which i think it needs improvement. the high tea start with a shambhala ceremony that the COMO signature shambhala oil infused water pour on a hot stone on the table. the steam rises to give us the the aroma to bring us to the scent of tropical. you then pick the tea you want, each person will have a whole pot to themselves. The first plate comes out is the savory portion of the high tea, there are salad, soup, chicken wings and shrimp tempora, this is perfect for people who loves savory over sweets. once you finished the savory part the sweet part follows with strawberry chocolate cube, coconut that's marshmallow in the white part and chocolate shell , passion fruit pastry that looks like passion fruit but completely blow your mind, cucumber sorbet and banana waffle. everything is very unique and elevated instead of the normal high tea pastries. the sweet pastries are not too sweet which is perfect. The whole high tea is enough food to skip dinner. Great experience and full of unique tastes.

Our pre-show drinks and dinner here were an excellent and fun start to a great Royal Albert experience! The menu had a nice variety of choices. A special thanks to our server Brianna for her part in making this stop a fun and most enjoyable experience.

We had lunch in the restaurant. The building is very nice. The ambience is very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and quick. The food was good, but not cheap. A good place to go after visiting Kensington Palace.
