Perfect place, for good food, in a traditional pub, in a great location with a very special Ad on for people with petrol in their blood, this is where the idea for the Ineos Grenadier was conceived and developed, the pub is also the namesake for the car . Plus the best Scotch eggs I know, not to mention the French Fries!!!!

This has to be one of the coolest little hidden away pubs I have stumbled across in the last decade in London. Tucked away on a very, very nice mews street is this blue clad building with such a history to it. Great place to come for tourists or just for a spot of people watching whilst you have a pint. Had a pretty comprehensive selection of pints and a huge outdoor area to the front where you can stand and drink. Definitely a place to try if you’re looking to impress your friends with a great pub rec!

Thank you for a delicious lunch, if a little expensive… On arrival, I was told flatly that my booking could not be found. Strange, since I’d made it in person, earlier in the week, but the charming young woman behind the bar confirmed our table to the waiter who had told us it didn’t exist. The food was superb, we had the Scallops to start, and Beef Wellington to follow. The next odd thing was that after the main course we weren’t invited to see the menu for dessert. Instead, we were informed, slightly irritably, that we would have to surrender our table in 15 minutes. We accepted this with smiles and no dispute. When we left I asked a member of Staff if they actually served Desserts, and got a rather sorry/not sorry response when I explained that we hadn’t been offered the option. A little strange. We paid the Service charge however undeserved it was. Perhaps we irritated the Staff in some way, but I cannot see how. Two 60-something friends and colleagues meeting up for a quiet lunch and a chat. Perhaps we didn’t spend enough (three glasses of wine and a bottle of sparkling water), we didn’t behave badly, we weren’t raucous or drunk, in fact we were more polite to the Staff than they were to us. The whole experience left a lingering bad taste, no matter how excellent the food. There won’t be a second visit, from me, or any recommendations to others.

We only stopped for drinks whilst pottering from Kensington to Buckingham Palace. Popped in for some refreshments on a bright, hot and sunny late July afternoon. The Grenadier is tucked out of the way in a news style road with residential properties dotted around the street. There's a narrow walkway through from the Kensington side which meanders through to the pub, which is quite literally tucked away. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Limited seating to the front, some seating outside to the right side and seating inside for drinks and dining. Clean toilets. Friendly young bar staff. Good range of drinks......a nice pub 👍. Quaint old pub. Have been a few times both times there have always been a service man looking at photos. Old photos, old furniture, traditional. Perfect considering it's in an upmarket area. I had octopus which was outstanding, one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Husband had beef burger, he did want something else with a slight change in salad oddly they were not accommodating. Might be because the bar staff were rather young. Great place full of atmosphere will certainly return.

Really disappointed, as I've been here a few times and enjoyed the atmosphere; unfortunately one of the staff (the one with tattoos on his arms) was very rude about moving us off one of the dining tables. No "I'm sorry, this is reserved, would you mind moving?", but "You can't sit here. It's reserved. Why do you think you can sit here?" We checked an hour later when we left and the table was still unoccupied, so we were ejected for no reason.

Lovely pub, but the renowned beef Wellington is overcooked, although the side vegetables were excellent. Overall OK not great – does not live up to the hype or the price. Tucked away on Wilton Row and not far from Hyde Park Corner this place is a real undescovered gem. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in charm and character. Went to The Grenadier to be able to try out Beef Wellington in London. The location was tucked away in a small side street close to Hyde Park, and had a bit of a hole in a wall feel, which was interesting. The interior of the place had an old English vibe, and was split into a pub and a small restaurant area. The soup of the day was really good - not overpowering, but with great, whole-boded creamy flavor. The Beef Wellington itself was pretty good, but what shone for me more were the potatoes and vegetables that came with the beef wellington; the brocolli and potatoes were so well flavored and soft. The price was not too expensive as well - for one person just the Beef Wellington would be enough; I may have ordered a tad too much with the soup and all. 4.5 out of 5.

Since I was in England, I wanted to eat Beef Wellington, so I came here. If you plan to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation. (Because it is a pub and space is limited) In the past, people didn't even know what Beef Wellington was, but if you're interested in cooking, you can now cook Beef Wellington at home. It may be disappointing for taste buds accustomed to delicious Beef Wellington. The biggest problem is the thin, soggy pastry that comes off separately, but fortunately the food itself is pretty good. Is it possible for a whole piece of meat to be grilled and not taste good? What is certain is that it is not a Beef Wellington restaurant.

So-so food with their signature Beef Wellington being on a much saltier side. In contrast the lamp rump seasoning could have been improved as its abit plain. What completely ruined our experience was the host lady's unfriendly attitude who outrightly tried to shoo us away right when we just finished our dishes for 5 mins. We havent even asked for the bill, yet she put it down on the table telling us to check out at the front counter. For the context, the restaurants are still quite empty so this is very unnecessarily called for. Planned a once in a lifetime 5 week roadtrip to Southern Italy. On our way back, we routed a layover in London to experience this hot spot with such history and stellar reviews. Had 8 pm reservations and was offered a tiny table squashed into a corner where we'd barely fit. They accommodated our wishes to sit at a better, more ample, spaced table. Only to be told 5 minutes after being seated that we had to move to the table we already disclosed was too tiny. Haven't experienced this rudeness ever. Removed ourselves and had dinner at Sawyer's Arms. An unexpected glitch in a outstanding Italian adventure. Not an outstanding experience at the Victoria unfortunately. Could have been handled differently.

Rude staff. From the moment we arrived. Day one.. Someone opened our locked door on multiple occasions, once whilst we were getting dressed and ready for dinner. We complained and were told “it was a guest from a nearby room who made a mistake” I said: “But why does their key open our room??” They couldn’t answer. I believe it was one of the staff members. The electronic DO NOT DISTURB sign does not work, and we told the staff this morning not to disturb our room. We assume they believed we were out and wanted to see in our room. Now we are stuck in our room as our possessions are not safe and secure with the door being opened multiple times whilst we have been in the room. My wife also does not feel safe if the staff or other guests can just unlock the door at any moment. Disgusting… oh and the cockroaches in the bathroom are also pretty disgusting!
