Quaint boozer, pretty standard for London but on a quiet Belgravia street. Can get absolutely rammed so can be a squeeze. But otherwise good.

Great little pub. Busy on weekends.

Full of character and good ambiance, a great stop for a pint or a full meal. This favorite was serving Sunday roast early in the evening, so make your reservation. The list of pub foods included all the classic dishes if you just need a bite. Small, secluded, friendly, and with a welcoming crew.

Had a very disappointing experience with this pub. My wife and I had booked an area in the pub with some friends. On the day we were booked, there was a huge problem with public transport which meant we wouldn’t be able to get home. 5 and a half hours before the booking we contacted the pub to let them know we couldn’t make it. Despite the advance notice and the fact that this pub is always full and the space would have been taken we had £80 taken from our account. This was circumstances beyond our control and we did everything possible to notify the pub. In the following days I called the pub to see if there was a work around and was told I would be e-mailed. This did not happen. A few days later I visited the pub to try and speak to someone. The on duty manager was totally disinterested. We have offered to re-book to offset the money taken and been met with a “computer say no” attitude. Everyone I spoke to couldn’t have made less effort if they had tried. Very disappointing that what was something unavoidable couldn’t have been resolved in a better manner and dealt with, with some understanding. If you are booking, make sure you do not fall ill or have transport problems or you will have to pay for your misfortune,even though you get nothing for it.

Great London pub, worth looking for!

Belgravia is truly an elegant neighborhood with a unique atmosphere. And The Grenadier, a great address, with its fascinating history and its somewhat secret atmosphere!

This place feels like a hidden gem tucked away in a local neighborhood! It’s a great spot to enjoy a delicious Beef Wellington, a classic British dish. The restaurant was packed with locals, making it a great place to experience the authentic London atmosphere and culture. However, the woman who seemed to be the owner wasn’t particularly friendly, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the overall ambiance and food were excellent!

A small, cosy pub in a narrow street. The beer and wine were good. The pub had a lot of ambiance - with money notes stuck to the ceiling.

Great little pub that can make you forget you are in central London

Extremely characteristic place, a little difficult to find (which makes it even more fascinating), where we had a great time and ate well. I want to underline the availability of the staff who welcomed us even though we didn't have a reservation, and the thoughtfulness in presenting us with dessert with a candle for my partner's birthday. A place we will return to. Thank you !!!

If the staff cracked a smile this might get tow stars. No friendly greeting on arrival and you could see staff rolling their eyes when approaching customers. Having just moved my business into this area I can't see it being a recommended regular haunt for my staff,pity as it looks quite nice from the outside. Friendlier cheaper and much more welcoming few other pubs we have visited in the area. Warning they also put sneaky service charge even if you order drink at the bar!

Henrique and Bence were amazing, from the get go they were friendly and welcoming.Had the Ribeye cooked perfectly with the Blue cheese sauce and also had a Hugo Spritz. Will definitely come back just for the service presented from Henrique, Bence and rest of the team.

Really pleased with Rosy, went in to have a quick fish and Chips and was received like I was at home , she was smiley and happy throughout, will come back again.

I was very pleased to visit this beautiful café that serves the most famous chorizo ​​in the world. The place is very wonderful and beautiful and the atmosphere is calm. And the workers are very nice

Really disappointed, turned up 6pm, staff member asked if we had a booking, we said no and they said they were closing. Diners clearly still going, plenty of space, told them we just wanted one drink and we understood their closing time to be 10pm and have travelled quite far. They still said no they're closing for five days as a one off. Couldn't recommend making the effort to go unfortunately.

We came here in search of Beef Wellington after having visited the Wellington Museum at nearby Apsley House. The dish did not disappoint and the Chilean cabernet sauvignon was great too. The pub is romantically situated in a back alley and has quite the history with Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Prime Minister Wilson among earlier visitors. The turkey was great too.

Questionable service, I'm 20 years old and the waitress in her 50s together with her colleague in his thirties were laughing because of the brace I had on my arm. My fiancée and I ordered the Filet Wellington and I have to say it was quite good but not worth the price. I have definitely tried better pubs both for the quality of the food, the price and the welcome.

Very characteristic and welcoming place but I was not at all happy with the lack of professionalism of the staff (especially the waitress and one of the waiters). The waitress greeted us with an unkind air, even correcting my pronunciation of a food. I also found it unprofessional that they surreptitiously made fun of my fiancé who had an arm brace. Furthermore, telling us that there was no room at the table, we sat at the counter to wait for one to become free and as soon as one of these was free they made other people who arrived after us sit. As for the food, we took the infamous Wellington fillet, excellently cooked and, considering that we are in England, the quality of the meat was satisfactory. I left with high expectations reading the reviews but the fillet price of 39.5 pounds is absolutely not justified. I strongly advise against setting foot there.

Authentic – This was a return visit after 10 years, and it had all the charm we remembered. It’s a crowded venue with a small dining area (3 tables). To us this feels like an “authentic” pub experience meaning “fish and chips and a pint” - which is what I had. Christmas pudding for dessert. Despite a short menu, this is a gastropub, and the food quality is very good. While the restaurant is hidden on a back street, it is worth the effort to go there.

What an awful experience. Been living in London all my life and been to a million pubs and never met such rude bar servers! We tried sitting down at an available table and they said we can't sit there as drinkers weren't allowed to sit down due to loudness...it's a pub!! We only had one drink in there early in the night...what a rude thing to say to customers. I was with my two 60 year old parents who were very offended. Very sad as it ruined our evening in London. What pub turns down drinkers for sitting down. Still in shock!

Always love the Grenadier - although never eaten here (but food always looks good as it goes past!). Great pint of Guinness. Friendly, good service. It’s tight in there so often spill out onto the street - but that’s part of the fun.

Nothing to say: their famous Duke of Wellington fillet is a confirmation! More elegant pub than the average in London. Not better, different. Adequate price even if above average

The waitress was extremely rude from the moment we walked through the door. This bad service lasted throughout the whole meal, she wa not servicial at all, short tempered and actually made us all feel uncomfortable, we were told that to have a table all 6 of us HAD TO have a main course or we could sit down. Which we did. We got the bill 177 pounds!! For one plate each! And just 3 drinks This included a whopping service charge of 12.5 percent which we said we didn’t want to pay due to the rubbish service recieved. The waitress slumped Off and came back saying she would take the charge off but her boss had said we were not welcome again!!! Wtaf???? Earn 156 pounds in the hour we were there wasn’t enough. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR.

If you know the history of the Ineos Grenadier, it is fun to visit it. If you don't know it, it is advisable to visit it anyway. The sirloin Wellington is impressive.

They ask for a tip and if you don't give it they make disgusting faces and refuse

Was an one of a kind pub. It's very warm inside for the winter, but please, make sure to go early or to book in advance if you want to eat something because the place could get packed and not a lot of places to sit.

Probably one of the best pubs in London. Filled with history and excellent food and Guinness. The Beef Wellington was perfectly prepared, another highlight was the scotch egg which had a perfect center. We can’t wait to return!

Found this place by chance, and it was excellent. Loved the decor, and the staff were friendly. The food looked good, but we didn't eat anything so can't comment on that. We will definitely go back

The quaintest of all the pubs we visited on this trip, starting with its hidden location (in an enchanting street), the outdoor red, blue and white color scheme and flanked at the entrance with a doorman to match. We felt welcome and in good company the second we walked in. The bartender was friendly, our server Joanna quite efficient, and the interior was cozy and intimate. A small space but with just enough distance between tables. We went on Sunday night, where roasts are de rigueur. We started by sharing a delightful cheese tart, topped with red berries and greens. For the mains I talked my girlfriend into having the Duke Wellington since I do not eat meat, and she thanked me for suggesting it. It looked just right, juicy, pink and the crust was dry and honey colored. I had the turkey breast with potaoes, carrots, and a succulent glaze. Both came with giant Yorkshire puddings. We devoured everything on our plates, and still had room left for dessert: cheese cake, Two happy customers went back to their hotel, happy to have spent £96.19 on an authentic meal, in a historic place, and still three weeks later savoring that moment in time.

I went in for a drink and it was £66. I got my son a small drink and that was also £66. Disgusting prices for a child

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast and beef Wellington.

Had drinks only( but definitely will try food) very small charming place and super crowded but that’s the actual charm.

Came here last week with the family. Staff are not welcoming. Didn't feel like they wanted us there (especially the older lady behind the bar) Maybe because we had a 2 year old with us? Food was excellent though. Ordered the beef wellington, fish and chip and venison pie. Probably won't come back as the staff are terrible and miserable. Also the atmosphere in there is dry.

Avoid this pub! Exorbitant prices. I paid £13 for a glass of wine which tasted like poor quality vinegar. After I pointed this out the staff proved to be extremely arrogant and not taking any responsibility. Such a shame how this historic pub has been allowed to decline and has become an institution that cares only about profit and caters to undiscerning rich toffs. Must be now one of the worst London pubs in terms of quality, atmosphere and value for money. I had a reply to.my post from Tony the manager blatantly lying that I raised the problem with the wine after I consumed a second glass. It is a stupid arrogant lie; I could not finish the first glass because of the condition of the wine and have the receipt to prove it. I simply wanted a good quality wine fir the price of £13 per glass, that's all. I would expect a more humble attitude and a desire to improve the service provided. I am sure the public will recognise the true situation about this establishment and choose to go elsewhere.

Just a quick review we are Grenadier Guards veterans and we were in London for the remeberance weekend 10/11/2024.So we thought it would apt if we paid a visit Big shout out to the Landlord Tony and his staff they were very welcoming,the food was very impressive we felt at home soon as we got there,the premises is adorn with grenadier memorabilia and one of the photos had some of our lads in it.Will definatley be coming back for a nice cold pint and a chat. Thanks for your hospitality Tony and staff

The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is very friendly, although it is a very small place. Hard to find, but worth it. On weekends, I would highly recommend getting reservations to eat. The dining room is small intimate and the food is once again excellent

An iconic pub in a central location. The interior is short on space around the bar, but that creates the cozy charm. In nicer weather, it’s great standing outside with a pint.

Pub side of restaurant. fish and chips was the item. pretty decent size fish (haddock). All tastes great... but I wasn't too pleased with the Gredadier Ale. Probably my personal tastes. I recommend you reserve or you may have to do like us and eat on the pub side. the place certainly felt of the beaten path.

Great food at this tiny and very popular spot. It feels very traditional and cozy. The venison pie and crumble with custard were winners.

The staff didn't seem very friendly & half the tables were empty but reserved in mid afternoon on a weekday. Went to the Nags Head instead

We loved all three courses of our meal. The burrata was divine, served with enormous perfectly ripe cherries and sliced figs. The scallops were beautifully cooked, soft but not overdone. My friend had the Beef Wellington - she said it was succulent. The monkfish and prawn curry was balanced and the sauce was delicious. The crumble had huge crunchy topping with apples and soft fruits. The sticky toffee pudding ( and its treacle sauce) was sublime. So rare to enjoy all three courses. The Rioja Crianza was full bodied but smooth, complementing the food. A wonderful memorable lunch. 10/10 to a chef who knows how to cook properly.

Two of the beers on tap ran out but no one made any attempt to change the kegs. At least I got to taste a 1/2 pint of Grenadier's Ale.

Perfect place, for good food, in a traditional pub, in a great location with a very special Ad on for people with petrol in their blood, this is where the idea for the Ineos Grenadier was conceived and developed, the pub is also the namesake for the car . Plus the best Scotch eggs I know, not to mention the French Fries!!!!

I arrived without a reservation, so they were only able to offer me a seat at the bar. I didn't mind at all. I ordered the Beef Wellington, and it was absolutely delicious.

This has to be one of the coolest little hidden away pubs I have stumbled across in the last decade in London. Tucked away on a very, very nice mews street is this blue clad building with such a history to it. Great place to come for tourists or just for a spot of people watching whilst you have a pint. Had a pretty comprehensive selection of pints and a huge outdoor area to the front where you can stand and drink. Definitely a place to try if you’re looking to impress your friends with a great pub rec!

If you are not local, they do not serve you well and ignore you as if you were asking for free food. I was very excited to try the beef Wellington because of the good reviews it has and I couldn't because of its xenophobic treatment :(

A great London pub that is off the beaten track. Old and with a great history surrounding it. Limited seating at the front and side but seating inside with a good selection of beers and food. Very well decorated and well worth a visit to get away from the London crowds.

Beautiful London venue hidden away from the usual haunts. We had lunch here and it seemed to only be people from the neighborhood. Excellent and light fried fish. Exceptional burger. Excellent draft beer. Online price. Quick and courteous service. Oh, and the bathrooms were spotless too!!
