Haha! How do you rate a dinner at the Albert Hall? Not like any other restaurant, I assure you. Service was fabulous, attentive and fast. Food was average, I remember the steak knife was too blunt to cut the steak. The wine list was designed for poor people. We came back for dessert at half time, I ate cheese and drank port. We didn't bother with H2, drank up and went home. On reflection, it was a highlight of our experience that night, and that is perhaps telling.

The most overpriced Restaurant I've ever been. Food was okay, but not even in the quality of an average Bistro in France. The wine pairing did not fit. The wines they served reminded me of those bottles you buy at the petrol station on a Saturday night to get some booze. For two persons we payed 200£ for a Starter and a Main Dish and 2 glasses of wine each. Only the Restaurant Manager gave us a very warm-hearted welcome and was very professionel and friendly.

Qué maravillosa experiencia gastronómica pre-show (Corteo) en Coda. La estética de este restaurante es preciosa, con hermosos tonos de verde, enormes arreglos de orquídeas en flor y arañas brillantes. Las ofertas de menú eran absolutamente deliciosas. Unfortunately the food was not good. I asked Lamb as a main course and I was shocked - the lamb was hard. Taste was good but quality of the meat was bad. The couple sitting next to us said the same - for a Michelin chef, I was very disappointed. Service was good, restaurant was beautiful, but not a Michelin star chef level. Even the knife they gave me to cut the lamb was not good :( The cheesecake was good. The prawn starter also good.

We approached the Royal Albert Hall from the steps at the rear and entered via door 12, we went through security but were advised to go back outside to door 1 immediately to the right. And caught the lift to the 3rd floor to enter Coda, a very smart, intimate and pleasant place to eat. Our Server, Myriam was charming and very helpful as we're all the staff. I had Beetroot Carpachio and my Partner, the Snails. Both starters were beautifully presented and delicious. Bread was offered throughout the meal. We both opted for Fish, 1 Cod Loin and 1 Lemon Sole, both beautiful ly prepared and presented, both delicious. Dessert was offered either for the Interval or straight after the meal. 1 Cheeseboard and 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding, both yummy. Wine was a tasty French Burgundy and Dessert Wine and Espresso Martini were lovely, so lovely we ordered two more for the Interval which were ready on our reserved table for us. It was a lovely treat to start a glittering evening and we very much enjoyed our visit.

We absolutely love visiting the Albert Hall, and we've recently discovered their fine dining restaurant, Coda, which we booked for tonight's Jools Holland concert. It's a smart restaurant and we had excellent service, from our Spanish / Argentinian waiter (apologies that I don’t remember your name). The menu had some really nice choices and I selected: - Sea bream ceviche, soya jelly, citrus dressing Followed by: - Roasted rack of pork, crispy 'Nduja and aioli potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, chorizo jus And finally: - Hazelnut cheesecake, hazelnut streusel, gianduja glaze All the courses were really well presented and cooked beautifully. We had the first 2 courses before the first part of the concert and the pudding at the interval. Very civilised! Then Jools and his guests gave us an absolutely storming gig! I was particularly excited to see Toby Lee, who at 20 years old can tear fabulous electric blues out of his guitar - a real star in the making. Thanks to Coda, Jools, Toby and all the other artists for a superb evening! (Also posted to my food blog on Instagram @AbbeyKing16)

One of the benefits of coming to the proms is the opportunity to eat in one of the restaurants. Coda is the best of the main 3. Whilst the choice of dishes is not huge, it does not need to be. Wasn’t particularly impressed. Firstly, there needs to be some better comms internally as the door guards downstairs would not let us up ahead of our reservation time (and were pretty smug about it). But when we got up to the restaurant we were surprised to see plenty of people already seated, turns out you can go up any time after 5pm for drinks if you have a reservation. I really enjoyed my ceviche starter and the prawns my friend ordered were also good. My aubergine main was swimming in oil and not enjoyable at all and my friend had some very dry pork with obliterated broccoli. Definitely not good quality you would expect for the price point. Enjoyable desserts, I had a pistachio creme brûlée and the other guest had the lemon tart. Both were ok but nothing mind blowing. Won’t be returning and can’t recommend.

Booked here to a pre-prom meal for two. Food and service were inconsistent which was disappointing. Prawn starter was overcooked and mixed up wine pairing. Other table next to us were offered extra bread for their main but we had our bread dish taken away after the starter. For main, the rosti was not fully cooked with cold uncooked potato in the middle. I was offered to have chips instead and they turn out to be chewy and some were undercooked. As for dessert, they misunderstood that we wanted wine pairing for both dessert. Instead they brought two identical wine. We were offered to have dessert taken off the meal as a gesture, which was fine but the lack of care from front of house and kitchen leaves a bitter taste. It is a shame, some of the food were very good. The guinea fowl main was very delicious and so is the crème brûlée. The restaurant decor was elegant. We also heard that the service charge is not shared with the staff, but to the company. Sorry that is very bad practice and we will in future give the restaurant a miss.

We arrived and had to wait for about 15 min for our glasses with Champagne and water arrived. Quickly after this, Bruna arrived and took over the service of our table and it is safe to say she saved the evening, turning a very average service into a hospitable, personal and all around lovely service for the rest of the evening. Although busy, Bruna took the time to show she cared, that she enjoys working there and delivers everything with a smile. The food was lovely, with nothing to fault, so we were thrilled when Bruna took over our table. Thank you for turning our evening into a pleasant one!

Clearly a great location. Food was superb and also the service via Miguel. Deserts taken at the interval. Only comment is that, for me, having to pay after the main course seemed a little strange. However it didn’t affect the experience.

Wonderful lunch before the matinee performance of Cirque du Soleil! We could not fault anything and the desserts were incredible and all served ready for us on our return during the interval. Highly recommend

We ate here before Cirque du Soleli and were so impressed. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. All staff that we encountered were so friendly. The food was amazing as was the wine. We could not fault this restaurant and would definitely return here again, it really made for part of a perfect evening.

Came as a treat for my niece before the evening performance of Cirque. Taken to our table and it took approximately 15 mins before we got a drink- water and that was after a waved request to a waiter. He stated that ‘ it wasn’t his table’ So much for team work . We had wanted to order a bottle of champagne but when eventually someone came , the manageress we just ordered our food and bottle of wine. No sweetbreads or duck which we had not been informed of when taken to the table. Wine eventually arrived and the waiter was in danger of stabbing himself - no idea how to open a bottle. We had to ask for other glasses as we had rose and red wine but one of the glasses was dirty. The main course arrived late and we had to rush eating in order to walk round to our loggia. To be asked to pay the bill before we’d had dessert and wine we were made to feel under suspicion Having been to Coda before we will not be returning again. Truly dismal service

Bruna was an absolute star when it came to explaining the vegetarian options! Although the menu didn’t allow for much wiggle room, it was still possible to have a great lunch :)

Fantastic! We didn’t have any expectations as we hadn’t been before nor knew anyone who had. It was marvellous! The food was divine. The service exemplary (thank you Bianca 😀) and we would absolutely recommend everyone to visit. It’s a treat place but not crazy...

Was a wonderful experience and Bruna made it extra special. She explained everything so well and was so attentive to when we needed more tea and questions. Thanks so much!

Sadly I took a close business associate to this restaurant on the recommendation of Trip Advisor We had travelled all day from different cities to different hotels to meet at the About Thyme Restaurant it was very closed and so far we have been told it has been that way for many months May I suggest that TA keeps their records up to date as with most technology it is driven by humans and is only as good as the information that is put in This was a very expensive mistake Obviously in future I will always check that TA is accurate I have always enjoyed TA and intend doing so in the future but please update your records

We enjoyed the visit. Like an oasis at the top of the building. Great views, reasonable priced food in the cafe. But book well in advance so you’re not disappointed when you get there. Tickets are free.
