By Far one of the worst experinces ever. Bad service, they forgot half the food and waited till it came in, while the rest of the food got cold, no apology. Questioned why the bill was seperated and ended up having the waiter argue, that it was we ordered. Highly recommend you save your money and have breakfast somewhere else.

I have experienced many afternoon teas in London and all have been treats UNTIL TODAY! We went for the Fashion Tea and the Collins Room was very quiet after 4pm. However, the service was appalling! After waiting a long time we eventually called a waiter to serve us, a further long wait after which I called AGAIN for an actual cup of tea. Further delays then tea but no milk. The sandwiches which arrived after yes, another long wait were okay and we were “allowed” a couple more. The cakes ( no scones sadly….why not?) looked quite pretty but the flavours were slightly strange/ sickly and some textures frankly slimy. This in itself is disappointing but we literally had to ask at every point- even for the bill, twice. And to add insult to injury on top of the £160 cost nearly £24 was added for service…dreadful! I would truly avoid this tea experience!

A huge thank you for making my mum feel so special on her birthday. Called ahead and spoke to Ayla, and she said she would add a note on the reservation that it was my mum's birthday. We were welcomed by a lovely friend host and even a birthday card from the restaurant wishing my mum a happy birthday! Salu took really great care of us the entire night. He was so attentive and kind. He gave us the best service. Then to top it off the food was just sensational! The veg concoction that came with the steak was phenomenal. The whole night was a 10/10. And my mum absolutely enjoyed herself, for that I cannot thank you enough!

5 out of 5, we had english tea as a family of 6 for our daughter 18th. The fashion cakes were amazing, the teas were great, the ambiance in the room, temperature light were really good for an intimate party. Gabriele was there to help us all along and he found the right level of support all along. Really good food and all along experience for a unique experience at £100 a head.

Absolutely unsatisfactory experience and I do not recommend visiting it. I booked a table in advance, and I received an email confirming the reservation, and I came from a distance. Upon arrival, she said that there is no reservation in my name, and when I showed her the reservation confirmation email, no absolute cooperation, in addition to her rude style and bad mood during the conversation. And she provided me with another appointment after an hour and a half, despite the fact that the place was empty and many tables were available, and she even said that most of the items had run out of the menu. Not professional, not cooperative and very rude

Had reserved a week prior to have a table near the windows wear there was light, there were plenty of space when I arrived they told me it was reserved and made me sit with my guests in a dark corner. I asked if I can reserve the table for next time and they told me I can’t reserve a table! So they contradicted what they were saying. The service was horrible. Never again. The food was really bad, we ordered several plates and they all tasted poorly. Their prawn and crab fish cake were particularly awful, I think it was old. After leaving my guests experienced stomach pain. Really disappointed from Berkeley Hotel..

To answer my own question, if there is I haven't found it yet! We have recently completed another fantastic stay at The Berkeley which meant we could enjoy several breakfasts in The Collins Room, which is one the the best reasons for staying at the hotel. The setting is lovely, but much more than that the staff are always so warm and friendly on arrival as well as offering great service. No detail is overlooked and any adjustment to the menu is never an issue. The food itself is always spot on, they offer such a variety of items on the menu and always happy to customise it as you wish. It never feels like its any trouble and from one visit to the next remember your preferences and just when you think it can't get any better it does. It really is the perfect place to have breakfast and that is very much down to the entire team, from in the kitchen to front of house, they look after us superbly every time, so thank you all!

Yea and coffe were fine. What really let the experience down was very slow service. I arrived without a reservation which I understand. I was told to wait 15 min, nearly 45 min later after a few reminders I finally got sat down. Our server was also hard to flag down, the bill arrived and I still had to wait nearly 10 min for the server to come back with a card machine.

Possibly the best afternoon tea we had in London, and we're tried many !! Very friendly, efficient service in a modern/stylish "restaurant" within the hotel. The tea is "different" because the sandwiches, cakes etc differ from those served in the major other 5 Star London hotels. The sandwiches have a more modern feel about the fillings, and they are always happy to switch ones you don't like with others from say the vegetarian menu. Extra sandwiches are freely available. The cakes have to be the star of the show. based on major high end fashion brands, they really are clever (and nice to eat as well). I believe this is a long established practice at the Berkeley, but it's still very, very impressive. Traditional scones, cream and jam aren't as such on the afternoon tea menu, but are available on request (within the price). Expensive but perfect.

We visited again for pret-a-portea and it was just as good as the first visit. Amazing food, tea and service. Will be going here anytime we're in London. Original: We came here for afternoon tea, which was currently serving a Dior themed version, and it was absolutely fantastic. The service, the food, the teas, all outstanding. The ambiance of the room was also great, lively but not loud. Would return here for tea, drinks or food in a heartbeat. The only potential negative is the price, come here expecting to leave with a respectable bill.

Went to try their Pret- a- portea. Service was impeccable (one of the best I’ve ever had). Food wise, everything was pretty good but nothing stellar, out of this world. I would recommend going for the experience (it’s very unique and different from high tea in other venues) but will probably not do it again (72£ per person thought it was a bit steep but then again high tea in London is usually expensive at these types of places).

Love this place food and drinks were delicious, decor just everything was amazing. I enjoyed my time , just a shame about one of the female waiters who had a bad attitude when we told her the total amount of the receipt was incorrect and that we received complementary drinks to our table which she could clarify with her colleague. She printed out a new receipt and slammed it on our table and walked away. Me and my friends were taken aback by this as we were not rude to her. I felt like and in my opinion, if we looked like the rest of the clientle that was in the room we wouldn't have got such treatment. All in all I would still go back, as I loved the ambience, food etc.

We had dinner here this evening after drinks at the Berkeley Bar. The bar was very nice with good cocktails and service. Arrived in the restauramt and felt like we were walking into the breakfast buffet room. Zero ambiance, half empty and no music. The food was very average, certainly not fine dining. In fact advertising this restaurant as fine dining is an insult to the many restaurants that do try. The food was reasonably presented but generally lacked flavour and finesse. The sirloin at £43 was tough, the salmon was dry as was the chicken. Sides all priced at £10 was laughable for the quality presented. Go to the Dorchester grill for fine dining, try park chinois for an experience, cut at 45 parklane also does it better. Bar Boulud in the Mandarin (which is sadly now closed) was better and never claimed to be fine dining. In a city like London with so much choice and more importantly inspiration this restaurant fails on almost every level. I just walked past Helen Derose at the Connaught and would recommend you go there for a fine dining experience that delivers on the price

We are regular visitors at The Berkeley and have to say that on this occasion we had the best time and also received the best service to date, that is not to say that the previous occasions were bad as had they been we would not be returning customers. However, on this occasion Carlos who served us diligently and with great professionalism ensured that we all had food and drink aplenty, what made this even more challenging was having two very hungry young men in our party of five that he kept satisfied, which was no easy task. So a massive shout out to 'Carlos' for the phenomenal service throughout our time there. The sandwiches were as always exquisite, we requested Halal food when booking and I myself requested on the day oatmilk coffees and Gluten free bread for my sandwiches to he prepared in. All were served in a very professional and timely manner. When requesting extra sandwiches I was delighted to see that I was provided with the whole range of sandwiches rather than the two or three I had requested, my sons were also provided with more than they had asked for which was very pleasing. All the sandwiches were eaten with great satisfaction. The desserts were absolutely sublime, from the biscuit to the cheesecake made in the shape of a strawberry to the pistachio cake to the mango and exotic fruit cake. The flavours in the cakes were just perfect with no flavour being so overpowering that it interfered with the pallette to a level where other items could not be enjoyed. Some of the cakes we were unable to finish and so were packed in a delightful box for us to take home and enjoy later. Just as we thought we had finished Carlos surprised us further with plain and raisin scones, clotted cream and an array of jams. Even after eating the sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffees who can resist a warm freshly baked scone? We couldn't and as a result they were eaten with much joy on the faces of all. The pictures are of an oatmilk flat white, gluten free sandwiches with a bowl of quinoa and artichoke and a salad consisting of pickled cherry tomatoes, radish and cucumbers, the individual desserts in honour of a catwalk with designs from Moschino and Valentino amongst others and last but not least the fresh scones with clotted cream and jams. As it was our daughter's 25th birthday the staff in the Collins Room surprised her with a little plate of her own with a personalised message and a delightful little cake for her and on the table when we arrived was a personalised birthday card wishing her a happy birthday from all in The Collins Room. Overall an absolutely fantastic afternoon tea and a perfect way to spend our daughters 25th birthday. Thank you The Colling Room and The Berkeley Hotel.

If you can afford the congestion charge and parking fee, before you add the cost of afternoon tea, then you are in for a treat. It makes a change to have themed "fashion runway" design cakes, but be prepared to put on the calories, if you eat them all (which we did!) On the whole it made a pleasant change for the usual afternoon tea fare

I do go for several afternoon teas, and I have to say to date this has been my absolute favourite. I really think that the atmosphere and the very helpful and friendly staff played a big role. It was the little things that made us feel special, for instance: We walked in through the side entrance by mistake and asked one of the staff for directions to the Collins Room, and they kindly took the time to walk us there personally and hand us over. Same goes for when I asked for directions to the loo, no pointing and muttering directions here, the staff would help you navigate your way around the beautiful building. The spanish gentleman who served us for the day was very funny, polite and had perfect attention to detail. Upon arrival at our table it was lovely to find little touches like a personalised name card waiting for us at the table, a little booklet describing the fashion inspiration behind the desserts and even a hand written birthday card as we were celebrating. I really enjoyed all the flavours of the sandwiches and we had to go for seconds for the salmon and chicken. The coffee was delicious and brewed at the table and the scent was mesmerising! And finally came the showstopper, the beautifully plated array of desserts inspired by Valentino, Isabel Marant, Versace, Moschino and so forth. It was not just a feast for the eyes as the flavours were divine too! A bite from Anna Wintours cookie face went well with the coffee, but my personal favourite was the purple ensemble with the beriolette jelly centre. They change the desserts and the designers with each season so I definitely I will be back for another intriguing afternoon.

Firstly - let me be honest - I love the Berkeley Hotel and we frequently visit- which is always a great experience!! We booked the Collins Room afternoon tea for 2pm and arrived early so we went for drinks on the terrace overlooking the beach huts - it was brilliant as ever!! After drinks we went back to the Collins room and were seated at a table for two against the window area. There were tables seated on each side of us and the place was pretty full. As I had my back to the window - within minutes I felt completely freezing as the air-conditioning was on full. I was uncomfortable that I asked the waitress if we could be moved. The waitress said the air conditioning was up high due to Covid which was idiotic as every table against the window were feeling the cold. The waitress said she would turn the air conditioning a bit - however it made no difference! The immediate table next to us left complaining of the cold and another table who arrived after us left before we did!!!! Please take note management/ this has put off what should have been an enjoyable experience!! As to the afternoon tea - it was amazing and we so enjoyed it!!- wonderful sandwiches and the most beautiful cakes based on Pret a Portea fashion. We chose the couture tea with champagne. The chefs did a fabulous job here and it was a real shame we could not tolerate to sit and fully enjoy the experience!! I was so cold and we asked for a box to take away the cakes!!! It was an absolute disappointment we could not enjoy the experience we had so looked forward to. We left the Collins Room and went back to the terrace overlooking the beach huts for more drinks and to get warmed up!! As noted - we love the Berkeley terrace but the Collins room W as a let down not for the food/tea experience. If you book - ensure you are not seated at the window area!!!!

We were expecting an afternoon tea to rival The Ritz, but unfortunately the experience was not in the same league. The Collins Room was busy serving a variety of food , not only afternoon tea, so the atmosphere was somewhat lacking. A pleasant waitress introduced the tea and took our order - a wide variety of teas were on offer. The sandwiches were fresh & tasty, but the designer patisseries were over sweet - and by the time they arrived the tea was cold. There were two tiny mince pies, but no scones - surely the hallmark a decent afternoon tea ? As we were preparing to leave we noticed that we had not been served an attractive looking individual cake which others had received - we raised this with the waiter, who went away and returned to present us with small pots of spiced winter berries jam - not at all what we were concerned about. So we mentioned this to the manager as we left. She apologised for the oversight, suggesting that maybe the cakes hadn't been available at the time , but she went and found one of the cakes which she put in a box for us to take with us. Unfortunately by the time we got home it had collapsed into a soggy heap !

The serving staff talked through each plate individually and had a friendly, warm manner. I didn't give 5 stars as it didn't blow me away , and for £140 for sandwiches, tea and cake , it needs to be a different level. I was also surprised there wasn't any little trinkets or much literature etc or even sandwiches offered to take home as their normally is at high tea. But overall a lovely visit.

My wife decided that we had to try the Pret-a-Portea high tea. It’s was based in the Dior collection. This turned out to be one of the most elegant, stylish and extremely good high teas we have had. The room is small and so a booking is a must. Tables are quite close to each other so speak to soft Low tones! Service is very good. Staff explain the concept , menu and choices. You can choose more than 1 Tea from and a very good selection. When we ordered the Matcha supreme, the very helpful staff actually made it at our table. It was simply divine. The sandwiches are very tasty, creatively put Together within slices of soft, succulent bread and spreads. There are also 3 savoury items - tuna , salmon and duck- very nice. The 3 tier tray showcased little pastries expertly made in the various Dior fashion items - jacket, boots, bags etc... definitely instagrammable! Apart from looking nice , they tasted good too, not too sweet and just the right size. A lot of thought and effort goes into this and the end result is a beautiful , classy and elegant high tea with excellent tasting food.

The sweetest staff ever! My little girl had a little tantrum and they came up with a box filled of toys for her to choose from! Moreover, the fashion inspired desserts and tea experience was really great and different from everything I have tried! Perfect for a girls day out!

Yet another extremely enjoyable prêt-à-portea. I have been close to thirty times and this still remains one of the most imaginative takes on afternoon tea. Well done!

The Collins Room, formerly known as The Caramel Room, in the recently renovated Berkeley Hotel has a chic contemporary interior that evokes a timeless appeal. The restaurant has an all-day British menu that sources natural ingredients from forests, fields, seashores and streams. My companion and I couldn’t resist ordering the 8oz organic Angus beef burger which came with French fries and onion rings. However, we both opted for the fresh and luscious salad instead of the onion rings. The beef was juicy and flavoursome and had a sweet pickle homemade relish on the side. The hand-cut chips were light and flawlessly crispy. With mains ranging from £23.00 - £37.00, burgers at £28.00 and desserts at £14.00, prices are quite expensive. If you’re looking to spend lavishly on organic burgers rather than reasonably priced burger places, then I highly recommend The Berkeley Collins!

We use this Bills a lot as it is so convenient for theatres. Food is always good and prices reasonable for Soho and it has a buzzing atmosphere. This time our visit was made even better by our waiter Mo. Friendly, helpful and funny, he couldn’t do enough for us and really made the whole experience special. Huge shout out to Mo and the whole Bills team for another great meal!!

stayed at Hotel Marylebone in the summer and had an amazing experience. they treated our family as if we lived there with cookies and milk delivered to the room before bed for our son to the perfect seats for breakfast with a high chair. the hotel is perfect for families, nearby parks and plenty of shops as well as close to the train station. could not recommend enough!

We were looking for afternoon tea and dropped in to enquire, and what a day to drop in! I went to ask a lady by a champagne stand and she gave my husband and I a free glass of Veuve (my favourite drink) and asked someone to help with our query! Omar (I think) came back and said afternoon tea was available and sat us in ‘The Den’! It’s an interesting room with fun art and board games. Monica then came to take the order and we got three adult and one child aft teas, during this time the lovely lady from the champagne stand brought our girls a ‘St Martins’ monopoly game present each to keep and another champagne! The afternoon tea was really tasty, the scones warm and crumbly, the savoury food was deliciously different and the detail and storytelling was fun too! My husband and I have decided we will stay at the hotel next time we’re visiting London as it was just so wonderful. We had music from the birthday party next door, which was great, our girls had things to do, lovely food, great surroundings, perfect location and wonderful atmosphere! The staff here were exceptional - the champagne lady (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name), Omar, the young lady who told the afternoon tea story and Monica, you were all so lovely, thanks for a above and beyond London afternoon tea experience! Cheers!
