The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

1st time here and what a find , lovely host and waitress made you most welcome , the food was incredible very tasty indeed , the ambience was excellent , next time in Sheringham a defo booking .

Visited this place for lunch on a recent visit to Gorleston, after a family member said she remembered visiting this cafe years ago for afternoon tea and it being really good. I had a sausage pasty, a coffee and a bit of cake. The pasty was lovely, tasted home made, with lots of flavour. The coffee wasn't amazing (but I'm fussy when it comes to coffee) and the cake was a little dry. My family member though said that their cake was lovely. This is a nice spot for lunch, on a quiet road with lots of character. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would visit again.

Always decent food from them ,never get a problem, I do like their s/sour chicken on chips and the bbq one ,they do others but not into ones with chilli but love those two ,staff always polite and chatty

What an excellent cafe. Extremely welcoming, helpful staff. The food was good and prices were reasonable and i had to try the Turkish coffee to remind me of my holidays there. When I drank it I could definitely have been in turkey

Gaynes Park is my favourite barn wedding venue in Essex! Quite the statement, I know, but it is simply amazing! I have had the absolute pleasure of photographing many beautiful weddings at Gaynes Park, and every time it blows me away just how picturesque it is, no matter the season. I truly believe it is the most personal and inviting place where you feel like the venue is yours to make unique! Couples can make the most of the stunning surroundings, while their guests enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space to mingle. As a venue, Gaynes Park is completely accommodating, offering beautiful preparation areas, a lovely outdoor ceremony space, a timeless Orangery for the ceremony, and the barn for the wedding breakfast and party. From a photography perspective, it doesn’t get more beautiful than this. Whether it’s the iconic gardens, the picturesque Orangery, or the scenic countryside views, every detail adds charm! Always an enjoyable evening when the group of us go to Nando’s. Lovely food and great service. Chris with the red hair made us all feel welcome and checked on our table a few times he was lovely.

Bought a take away coffee from Espresso lounge on a whim and didn’t regret it. It was the smoothest coffee I have tasted. The owners have so much knowledge and passion when talking about coffee, they really took their time with me. I bought a bag of coffee beans to go with it, and I can’t wait to treat my family to a Costa Rican fruity blend. Great experience!

Jonathan, lazlo, Vraj were amazing and made us feel absolutely at home. The drinks were absolutely customized to our taste and tasted absolutely fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely make sure I come here again

Such a good chippy!! Friendly and very perfect food. Cash only too which i really approve of, why should a small business pay loads in bank charges? It really adds up and can make or break them. Anyway, fantastic chippy and I'll be back soon guys. X

Really great place. To start we didn’t realise the restaurant wasn’t open for another 20 min and we were welcomed inside to take a seat. Very accommodating with young children, nice high hairs, toddler cutlery, paper & crayons. Nice menu and good quality food all cooked very well. Steak perfectly. Set menu for kids was actually very good value. Friendly service. Highly recommended.
