Love this little cafe. I can phone ahead when I'm on deliveries and Lesley will have my breakfast roll waiting for me. If I eat in and on a diet Lesley will also do a ‘synfree’ meal for me. Really friendly and clean, perfect in every way

Ordered the wild mushrooms on toast. Beautiful flavour and presentation.

We booked for a large group. Food was nice and enjoyed by the majority of my guests. A few things weren't overly great, but overall it was ok. Staff were amazing! Can't praise them enough! However 2 of my guests stayed overnight in the hotel and were really disappointed. The room stank of vomit and they didn't sleep well at all. They travelled over 6 1/2 hours to attend the dinner and returned back home the next day.

The occasion was an awards night for the local powerboat racing club, The Lowestoft and Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club. It was a very busy night for the two ladies behind the bar and they were working very hard indeed. (I know because I've done it !). Their service was efficient and friendly and I would recommend this pub without hesitation.

Fantastic service and delicious food in the private room. Private room was kept lovely and warm throughout the meal. Abbey and her staff were very efficient and it was rather nice having our names called out for food rather than the usual way of just calling out food type!!!! Salmon was fantastic as too was the fresh fruit salad. Two courses were plenty for most people due to the large portions. The initial welcoming tv fire 🔥 in main bar and was great even though no heat!!!!!’

We had our Christmas party for 64 people The food was delicious and all came out hot and together, they catered for special dietary requirements, very impressed with the service, . All aspects of the evening from start to finish were excellently managed by Abbey and her team. All Staff were friendly and so helpful. I would recommend for any party occasion.

Had a takeaway before was steak and ale pie and mash and was delicious but this time I had cottage pie and veg tasted okay but nearly cold and gravy had big lumps in and had bread and butter pudding and custard and not so good was really hard couldn't eat it and custard was cold.

Requested a large chips but got given what appeared to be a medium sized portion and get this - they charged me £3.50 for it! I couldn't believe it. This is LOWESTOFT! Not LONDON! Stop ripping off your customers and overcharging! I won't be coming back.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch as we were having a boat trip on the Wavely. Found this place. Well the first thing that greeted you was the smell of chip fat. We did not know the area and time was short, we went in and ordered two jacket potatoes (good quality potatoes however Luke warm on arrival, I also ordered a tea and a black coffee with milk on the side(a simple enough drink), however when it came it was a shot of coffee and a jug of milk I took it back and asked for it to be filled up with HOT water, this again was tepid. by now I had given up. (I will give the girl the benefit of the doubt with Black coffee) perhaps I should have said Americano. Last but not least I asked how much the cake cost (which looked as if it had been in the display containers for a long time) by the time it was passed to three of the youngsters (from me to you a bit like the Chuckle Brothers)!! I gave up. A place I certainly would not recommend.
