Fantastic service and delicious food in the private room. Private room was kept lovely and warm throughout the meal. Abbey and her staff were very efficient and it was rather nice having our names called out for food rather than the usual way of just calling out food type!!!! Salmon was fantastic as too was the fresh fruit salad. Two courses were plenty for most people due to the large portions. The initial welcoming tv fire 🔥 in main bar and was great even though no heat!!!!!’

Whilst the meal we had there was lovely, it was very difficult to find out the menu each day. Vegetarian meals only seemed to be catered for if you asked specifically which was odd. The menu board was only on display once in the week while we were there. Today I wanted to visit again. I waited 10 minutes to ask before being brushed off with a “we don’t know yet”. The attitude was unwelcoming- needless to say we are unlikely to return during our stay in the area.

East Point Radio held its much-postponed volunteer get-together there today. There was plenty of outdoor seating space in the late summer sunshine, which pleased our dozen-strong party. There was a choice of four cask ales; I chose Adnams' Ghost Ship, always a favourite on a warm day. The carvery looked good but knowing I'd get a full meal later I ordered the Cheese and Bacon Melt Baguette from the bar menu. It arrived promptly, hot and of good size. The food and drink is reasonably priced and the staff were pleasant and efficient. Recommended.

Our first visit was on Saturday 3rd July. As we walked into the premises to eat, we didn't have great expectations about the food, hopefully fair 'pub' food. Boy were we wrong! The burger was 100% pure beef and cooked perfectly. The whole tail scampi, was WHOLE TAIL SCAMPI and not some frozen mush and the cod was extremely tasty and so big it could have fed three of us!!!! Cooked perfectly, served and presented really well. Thee staff were warm, welcoming and attentive without being pushing. We were staying on the site for a week and ate there on several occasions and every meal was extremely good, from the curry to the scampi. Gavin has a very good team here, getting everything right. Oh and you don't have to be staying on the site or mariner to visit here.

We had read good reviews on this place but were disappointed. The menu was understandably limited and we were offered a choice of about 5 dishes. After we had ordered we saw a number of dishes served that were not offered to us and not on the limited menu we were shown. 2 waitresses run off their feet and 1 waiter joined them but the service was not great. No desserts at all on offer. Would not recommend.

3 of us celebrated significant birthdays lin January at the Broadlands Park and Marina. We had a party for 40 people at the Quayside Bar and restaurant. Everyone was very satisfied with their food - there was plenty of it - and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Our vegetarian and vegan friends were well catered for. Strutty and his guitar came to entertain us and we danced the night away. The beer drinkers appreciated the real ale and the wine drinkers has plenty of choice - and all at very reasonable prices. The staff were all wonderful and looked after us very well - nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always cheerful. We also had excellent full English breakfasts on 3 mornings as well as drinks and food at other times. We were made very welcome and will certainly return before too long. Many thanks to everyone at the Quayside.

So I complained and got 2 wide SLICES of bacon, I ended up leaving half of the Gammon....I mean bacon. I always leave my plate empty. And my son got the chicken burger, it's was a large piece of chicken breast in a bun but it was dryer than Gandhi's flip flop ! He had one small bite and then ended up just eating the bun !!!! I didn't blame him. The chips was ok though. This has now hit 1st place in worst place I've ever eaten.

We visited the Quayside Bar and Restaurant during our stay at Broadland Park & Marina. The food is typical pub/restaurant style food but good quality. The food is cooked fresh to order which is great but only negative is that there is sometimes quite a while to wait for food and service can be a little slow. However, it was similarly priced to what would be expected in other similar establishments and all meals our group had were good quality. There is a fairly good choice with daily specials too. The bar itself is quite large and comfortable. There is a separate pool table area and also a separate restaurant area where I believe a Cavery is offered, which is pre-bookable, on Sundays. There is outside seating both under gazebos and also bench tables overlooking the Marina and Oulton Broad, which is particularly nice on sunny days. You can also therefore eat outside if you are holidaying with your dog, which we did. Dogs are not allowed inside the bar area only in the outside space. Bar service was generally good and friendly but we did find some staff were more friendly and efficient than others. There was a singer/musician on one night of our stay which was very good and also a quiz night which was very popular.

First visit to this restaurant, had been told that it would be excellent! We were part of a crowd in the function room. The service was poor as there were not enough staff which was disappointing as it was a pre ordered meal so they knew how many they would be serving. The starter was ok but very bland, the soup had a skin on it so had obviously been standing for some time. The beef medallions were not beef medallions but a very much cheaper cut of beef, tasteless & served with inappropriate vegetables. The meal was very disjointed, some of us got hot veg & some didn’t get any at all even asking the staff for more. One lady sent her meal back 3 times as it was not cooked & ended up having something different but at least she got a hot meal served with hot veg!

We stay at Broadlands holiday village every year but we noticed a significant change in the atmosphere of the place this year.In previous years it has been buzzing and pretty full most nights, this year for 2 of the nights we were actually the only people in there. Even Quiz Night I think there was only about 3 teams in it!The menu has changed as well with very little that inspired us to try it and the deal is now 2 for £14 which isn't really a deal for bog standard cafe food. The staff were still very friendly as they always are but to me it looked like the place was dying a slow death? The other thing that put us off was a certain man that was outside in the smoking area, who looked like he worked there as we saw him a number of times, who was constantly spitting which was very offputting!

I've had food in the past and it was very average, and is inconsistent in quality and quantity. The decor is nice and its a nice location right on the Broads. There is seating and parking outside, but the car park can get busy on Sunday lunchtimes. Rumour is there is a conservatory being built on the side which may impact on parking. Live music is on fairly regularly. Prices could be cheaper, especially for the food.

But over the last 6 months or more the food has been terrible I don't know why this is as it's previously been good. The prices have been increased a lot for poor quality nasty food.I had a Sunday carvery, the resturants was nearly empty we were told the chef would be along in a minute by 4 different members of staff, 20 minutes later a grumpy chef appeared, no apology for the wait no smile just a don't care attitude. We recently had a meal here and I was very disappointed. We ate in the bar and I Paid £11.95 for a Chicken Korma with 5 small pieces of chicken. Another person in the party had potatoes with their meals which were like rocks !!! I feel that £11.95 for a bar meal is expensive and other establishments in the area charge much less for a far nicer meal. If you had children the prices in the club house would mean it would be an expensive family meal time. I have eaten here on previous visits to the holiday village but since it has changed hands the meals have deteriorated in presentation and value. I definitely will not be eating here on further holidays. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time eating here !!!!

We visited Quayside Bar and Restaurant for a family lunch and most of us decided to go for the Carvery dinner, which was around £7 for one course or £10 for two courses. They also offered a variety of other dishes on their a la carte menu, and all seemed good value. There was a generous selection of vegetables in the carvery and the chef carved off a good sized portion of meat (they had gammon, beef and lamb on offer and you could choose any two of the three meats). The bar has Adnams ales on draught, which was tasty.Service was friendly and overall we enjoyed our meal. The only off-putting thing was a 15-minute raffle being run during our mealtime, which seemed a little odd for a Sunday lunchtime, but otherwise I was very pleased with the meal and would happily recommend it.

Meals were £9 each or 2 for £12. NO brainer. We had chicken with bacon and cheese melt, and steak and Adnams ale pie. Both excellent tasty meals and proper adult sized portions with appropriate vegetables. freshly prepared. clean and comfortable decor and friendly staff. will definitely return.

The friendliest staff and best fried bread this side of the Pecos River. The full English breakfast is top drawer but the fried bread wins the prize! Love this place!

Really lovely cafe - and fantastic breakfasts. We intended to try a few different places in Southwold during our stay, but came here on our first morning and enjoyed it so much we came back here every day. The service was great and food was delicious.

As a stranger to the area, checked the website that shows the shop was open. It wasn't so went to the other shop at the other side of town, where the food was excellent ,the staff friendly and very busy, good luck to them. They deserve it.

Great halloumi burger at this friendly seaside cafe. Sunny Sunday in October. Dog friendly outside. Lots of choice in menu. Very busy which is usually a good sign.

Visited the Blueboar this evening and as always the food in this instance Steak was excellent. Brilliant ‘Front of House Service’ and reflected by how busy the restaurant was for a wet Tuesday evening. Hospitality at its best with online booking a welcome addition.
