The best restaurants serving British food in Suffolk Coastal East of England

This is a really nice place to sit and have breakfast and is situated next to a great farm shop which has a lot of local produce

Started coming in when my baby girl was 2 weeks old (I need to get out of the house and as a first time mum the thought of going to a bigger establishment didn't appeal to me). My baby is now 11 weeks old. We've been going in once a week every week. Anna, her daughter and fellow staff members are so polite and attentive. It really is a pleasure to keep visiting this little perfect establishment. Prices are very very reasonable in this day and age and everything they offer is delicious and fresh! Really is a must visit place!

Completely the best porridge I have ever had (and I do eat it very frequently). I was so tempted to have another bowl.. but too full up! My other half had the avocado and pea with mushrooms on sourdough with a fried egg and was pretty much blown away by that too (and it takes a lot to impress him). Such reasonable prices (under £18 total for the two dishes!) and lots more on the menu to go back and try. Really lovely staff and dog-friendly dining. Fabulous.

This is a must for anybody driving past, stop and buy something-its all great I really love their bacon and sausages but never had anything average from there, Amazin beef for Sunday joint=yum superb staff

Had an INCREDIBLE Afternoon Tea at Cups and Cakes Cafe today. Everything was PERFECTION! The attention to detail and thought that has gone into each of the homemade delicious bakes and sandwiches were out of this world yummy. We had a delicious variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney, fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, strawberry fruit tarts, galaxy chocolate cupcakes, banoffee pies and of course, copious amounts of tea! Would thoroughly recommend Cups and Cakes for the personalized and friendly service too. I've experienced a lot of Afternoon Teas over the years and this was definitely the best! Been to this cafe before and have had great service and food, however today went in sat down waited 15 minutes with no staff attending to me they looked across and still no service so walked out.

This has got to be one of the best breakfasts we've had. Beautifully cooked, proper scrambled egg, and best of all bubble and squeak. Cooked to perfection. A lovely little cafe. In I could have eaten 2. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10

Huttons is a butchers. The lamb was very good. The pork, tasteless. they also sell cheese, pickle,jamsand all sorts of accompanyments,

Back for another top up of cappuccino and a snack for lunch before continuing on to the town. Parking down a side road opposite.

We had a lively Sunday lunch today at the White Horse. Great atmosphere. The roast beef was excellent and would definitely come again if we were in the area.

We enjoyed an amazing Roast Dinner on a Sunday evening. It was so tasty and the desserts were divine. Great menu and fantastic staff. Extremely clean and welcoming Pub. Lovely gardens and dog friendly too. Opening Sunday night was brilliant, as most Pubs around the area closed early. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place, very friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. Good size portions and everyone at the table including the kids raved about how good the food was. Nice to see a cafe serving tea leaves instead of tea bags as well.

I paid just under £5 for a small cup containing approximately 10 chips from the snack menu. I felt cheated and taken advantage of by this miserly portion. I went to one of their other Deben Inn pubs a few days before (Kings Head) and the portions were huge by comparison. There is no consistency or comparison on value for money and whomever decides on the portion sizes at the Fox is taking advantage of customers and needs pulling up on this. The coffee cup is bigger than the bowl in which the chips were served! Outrageous! See photo.

We have visited the regal many times over the years and always been totally happy with everything ! This time was now different, the restaurant has undergone a substantial redecoration and although you now find your own table the ladies still bring your food to you, the same group of waitresses continue to be friendly And helpful, the food as usual beautiful cooked, piping hot and fresh !
