Great food and lovely welcoming staff

This pub is cosy, with a great atmosphere. With the 2 open firs and they allow dogs, a perfect venue. It reminds me of the pub in the film tge holiday.

Held a wake here recently. Great location and venue and staffing all pretty solid as well. Cannot comment on the rooms directly but generally hotel is very well thought of

Really nice pub, open fire and super dog friendly. All the patrons are very happy and friendly as well and I enjoyed having a nice chat with a few (and theor dogs). Personally, I prefer a pub without kids so this ine is right up my street!

Excellent, old school boozer, sadly one of the last remaining in this village. Great staff, exceptional food and beer, highly recommended.

Unfortunately the breakfast was a big flop because it was entirely cold. Given it was already winter and I was really looking forward to it. I had the garden plate and wish the plate was warm; a solution. And then you end up paying tax on top. It used to be my favourite place; lovely interior, stylish cosy, but lacking that vibrancy in the food now. Premium price without the delivery.

Went for mothering Sunday and had very good roast. Excellent service. Will definitely go back.

I booked an igloo for a surprise bday about 6 weeks ago… only to be cancelled by voicemail at 1.56pm on the day… 5.5 hours before the booking! To say we were fuming is an understatement.

Recently revisited an old favourite haunt We’d been regulars but 2.5 years ago had a bad experience with a new manager who treated us badly on an ad hoc visit- so haven’t dared to go back Today we did and for lunch with my Mum Felt a bit awkward but The Manager who was on duty Sam , was very welcoming and kind to us . It was quite busy for an early slot on a Saturday. Our drinks and food were quickly served and good quality. Would like to thank Sam and the team for their exceptional customer service and making it us nice today

I was surprised to see this ranked 12 of 13 as the food was fantastic (particularly the ravioli) is a great range of veggie options, great wine, v reasonably priced too with great friendly service. We were there for a friends hen do & had a lovely time & I’ll def go back

Fabulous Fish & Chips! Cooked to order by the welcoming charming team. They were a delight and I would definitely recommend it.

Service was good, but let down by the food. We had the Christmas Turkey meal and the food was cold. The sausage was also not cooked properly. Great beer, avoid the food.
