Recently visited The Amble Inn for lunch. Picked location a bit at random as it was about half way travelling distance for myself and my mate. A dreary winter's day was brightened by the friendly staff, attentive service and delicious food. I can only imagine how nice a warm weekend day would be here. Will visit again for sure!

I recently visited The Amble Inn free house, Pub and it instantly became one of my favourite spots. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff is friendly and always ready with a smile, making you feel like you’re part of the family. Their food is top notch, whether you’re grabbing a hearty burger or some perfectly crispy fries, everything is made with care and full of flavour as well the drink selection is impressive, offering a range of craft beers and classic cocktails. The pub’s vibe is just right for any occasion—whether you’re looking for a relaxed evening with friends or a fun night out. Highly recommend checking it out, The Amble Inn , Harpenden .

We have had several delicious breakfasts at the Amble Inn. Both humans and canines are made to feel extremely welcome - friendly service, generous portions, very tasty and excellent value compared to other Harpenden establishments. We will be booking an evening meal shortly…

Had a lovely meal this evening. 5 of us all enjoyed everything we had. Knowing this is local is super handy, food was very well priced for how tasty it was and the service was lovely too. I wide range of drinks and the atmosphere was great with live sport being shown too. Will be visiting again!

We had a family Road dinner and it was delicious! Tasted like a real home cooked dinner! Great value for money, we will deffinately be back!

Great family lunch. We had southern fried chicken which was very tasty and others had the lamb and chicken skewers which were also great. Amazing service too.

Outstanding high quality food, expertly cooked The Sunday roast Sirlion beef just melts in your mouth, the roast spuds light and fluffy inside with a crisp outer, even the gravy is divine. I've also had one of their hand made beef burger it was so big and absolutely packed with flavour. I would recommend coming here to eat, you won't be left wanting The staff are so friendly and accommodating a real pleasure

The amble is my local and it’s the only pub I’d ever go too. The staff are amazing and always up for a laugh, the food is faultless, especially the Sunday roasts! If you ever want to watch the football with a decent pint and and good company, I couldn’t suggest a better pub.

Very nice Sunday meal. The wife had a good roast & I went for the lamb curry. Both were enjoyed. Tait was very good with the service.

Sarah and Parminder are wonderful hosts. The pub is friendly and welcoming. The food is superb and the beer is always top notch. Especially the bbq and tandoori chicken.

As soon as you walk in Sarah and the crew make you feel soo welcome. Me and my mates came here during the summer for the euros booking a table outside watching on the massive screen (what more could you want). The beer always tastes top notch and the food never misses, I had the fish and chips tonight it was delicious. Highly recommended to anyone in the harpenden area!

We were a party of 15 and dined today for the Sunday roast….brilliant service, very professional. We were all served together, seamlessly. The food was delicious- I had the vegetarian wellington, all gorgeous. Others in my party commented that their food was lovely. Will definitely go back- excellent value for money!

Happy to find this gem on a walk. Lovely garden and seating areas. Staff was friendly and served us promptly. I normally don't eat curries but thought I would be adventurous and try. I was happy that I did. Both me and my husband were pleased with food and the cost was reasonable. We will return again

We had a private event here for my daughter’s first birthday which was so brilliant! The outside space is fab for a child’s party with the bouncy castle, the food is excellent with lots of choice for nibbles or mains for a party, and the drinks choice is brill. Sarah and Parminder organised it all so well for us the stress and worry was really taken out of the day! Thank you so much, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this as a venue.

For me the best pub in Harpenden! If you are looking for reasonable prices, excellent service and fantastic food this is the place to be. Kids will be delighted with the large garden kitted out with a bouncy castle. There's an outdoor bbq and bar to keep the legals happy. As aforementioned the staff are fantastic and go beyond to make you feel welcome. In short a great family friendly pub that you should give a go.

AVOID EATING HERE! Cane here to eat with my family, prices were high and food take ages to come so was expecting a lot. Food was cold and undercooked. when spoke to staff they were rude and didn’t offer us a refund.

I had a truly terrible experience with this pub. We booked in February - five months in advance - for a big birthday party for my daughter and paid a deposit. The manager kept changing what he was going to charge us for the booking — every time we spoke to him the price kept going up. Drinks and food was priced very high for our event but we carried on in any case. Ten days before the party the pub cancelled our event because they were opting to show the Euros instead. With so little time our guests were unable to change the date and we couldn't find a suitable alternative venue so we had to cancel the party completely. My daughter was devastated. I was also shocked at how rudely the manager handled the situation. When I tried to talk to him about ways that we could work around the clash with the Euros — a roped-off area for the party, sliding back start times etc — he just constantly spoke over me, told me that he wasn't interested in my opinion and accused me of "screaming" at him when I was talking in an entirely normal tone of voice. The whole thing was extremely unpleasant. I would really advise people to avoid booking events there as they are not likely to be honoured if the management gets a better offer. It is a real shame, too. This has been a lovely local pub that we used to visit a lot and I had a previous birthday party there some years ago for myself. But this new management has ruined things completely.
