We've had a delicious Sunday lunch here today. The food was perfect, comforting, tasty and the portions were generous. We've been made to feel so welcome and comfortable with a baby, toddler and a teenager it's rare we're all happy at the same time 😅 but we've had a lovely afternoon. Staff and landlady are so friendly x

Great place for a Sunday roast.my wife and I fully enjoyed ourselves.

We had a family gathering here and as always great food excellent service and really nice venue.

Wasn't busy, got ignored by staff member playing on phone, didn't look up at all, 2nd time poor staff, have used pub fairly often , nice pub when original pub wife husband ran it.

The main attraction of this pub is the quality of the beer & the atmosphere. Excellent on both counts.

I really like this pub - it’s super cosy inside with excellent and friendly staff. Good range of drinks, decent prices and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s worth stepping away from the more popular areas to find it and I’ll certainly be returning!

Lacking a bit of choice on the beer side of things. Nice spot tho. With an outside area. Has the footy too

Probably my favourite local pub

Had to wait for quite a while before anyone appeared! There's no dark beer apart from Guinness. A few light beers were on. Quite a reasonable quiet atmosphere. Clean toilets

We spent a month in St. Albans, and I wanted to find a traditional pub where I could meet locals, and have fun. This is the place. Laurie, behind the bar, was so lovely to us. We also met several patrons, and had great talks. Service is fantastic, the Sunday roast was amazing, the atmosphere was everything I wished for. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

The Garibaldi never fail ! Absolutely delicious food, served with a smile, great atmosphere.

Can highly recommend The Garibaldi, just catered for my fathers wake and Caroline and her team really looked after my friends and family. We were cared for and the food and service was first class!

23/11/2019: photo upload from a trip to Hemel Hempstead to visit friends. Annually we do an Ale Trail and 2019 was a St. Albans Ale Trail. The Garibaldi was along the way.

Old skool boozer. Really friendly staff, good selection of lager, well priced compared to other pubs. Very homely feel. Love the red Wilton carpets!

Veggie option was very disappointing. I was served a Gregg's vegetable bake dressed in gravy served with veg for £13! Pub itself is cozy and garden area is nice. Most pubs offer a homemade tart or Wellington or a nut roast...First time I've had a frozen meal served.

We popped in for their Valentine's Day Bingo which was an absolute blast and can highly recommend. Thanks for the warm welcome and the caller's sidekick (Lisha?) was highly entertaining.

A really attractive-looking, red brick Victorian pub, tucked away down a side street, a few minutes walk from the City centre. It’s pretty compact inside, with a large central bar taking up most of the room. A lovely little beer garden to the side is a great addition for the summer. Offering the full range of Fuller’s ales (I love well-kept ESB and Pride) and a good range of other beverages. Had the Sunday roast here a couple of times and it was really good. Definitely a proper locals’ pub but very friendly to first time or occasional visitors.

Proper old fashioned pub! Great beer, lovely classic decor, nice outside seating area. No food, just good old fashioned drinking establishment. Friendly locals too. TV's showing sport for those who like it, but not 'in your face' just in the background. It's how pubs should be!

What a lovely classic pub. Garden space is small but if you’re lucky enough to get a spot you can spend hours here enjoying the sunshine in a relaxed setting.

The Garibaldi is a really nice local pub with friendly staff and customers. I've been here twice now and both times was greeted in a friendly manner. They have a really nice selection of beers at very reasonable prices. The rear garden is nice and quiet. They have several TVs for sports too. I like to come here for a quiet pint and relax.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at The Garibaldi Pub. Booked a Sunday roast for two last weekend. The food cooked by Sonny was exceptional and served with a smile. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be returning. Thank You!

One of the BEST Roasts I've ever had was served in this pub, defo worth a visit if you're passing by.

Visited with a friend who lives in St Albans. The pub staff strictly observed their one way system from bar to garden following Coronavirus government rules but they still had a relaxed atmosphere. Table service outside with bells on each table. Good range of beers. Very friendly and helpful staff. They weren't serving food but no objection to us ordering a delivery, and provided plates, cutlery and napkins. Can't fault this pub and thoroughly recommend it for everything you want.

One of my favourite pubs in St Albans!!! There's a lots of history behind it!! Garibaldi was there back in the days!!!! Very old fashion design inside , the garden is small but very well covered and some table have got heater.... Recommend!!!!!

Amazing! They fit us in even tho they were very busy (as it was our birthday) We had a roast, food was cooked perfectly staff were friendly. Lovely place.

My son and I called in to this pub after a long time not going there, (moved house) It was so good to see that it has kept the ‘local pub’ feeling. So many of the pubs now have lost the true feeling of a pub. More like flashing light and cheap beer and, well, just not a local pub. There was some live music, most weekends I believe, not over bearing, just nice. I don’t know if they do food, but if they do, it’s the sort of place I would stop at.
