The best restaurants serving British food in Epping Forest East of England

Attended a tasting menu for valentines evening g . Food was lovely and the staff where very attentive but unfortunately although private dining there was another couple who was there and was very very loud and completely controlled the whole evening. Couldn't hear what the staff was telling us about the courses and didn't even have a conversation with my partner as i couldn't hear him. Considering the cost I would have thought the staff could gave told them to keep the noise down as other people in the joining resturant also mentioned the noise as this was also our 41st wedding g anniversary it totally spoil our evening I know it wasn't the resturant fault but I think the manager should have step in. Another couple who was there also didn't enjoy the experience either because of the same problem

Popped in whilst on a central line pub crawl and found this hidden gem! Coffee and beers available and their menu looked delicious but we didn’t eat

Qué maravillosa noche para nuestra fiesta de cumpleaños recientes - enmarcada en un excepcional lugar de paneles de madera/habitación con vistas hacia el bosque desde el campo de golf (hoyo 19). Servicio de primera clase y catering top y todos estábamos de acuerdo en que era uno de los mejores partidos habían sido a cualquiera en los últimos años. Lugar y catering altamente recomendado para fiestas y eventos, y el menú de día parecía por encima del promedio para los golfistas. Excelente opción de bar y cerveza. Me pregunto si se puede comer allí y no ser un miembro? Sería bueno también!

Had the best time at Eden’s on Friday for a surprise private party for my daughter who was visiting from Los Angeles. The atmosphere was fun, cozy and the bar staff were warm and friendly. Steve the owner was brilliant! He was so lovely and made sure that everything went perfectly! Also making us amazing cocktails! The drinks were fantastic and Eden’s is wonderful place that I would highly recommend:) will be coming back again :)

Small but very friendly Sunday visit, only holds about 16 to sit in, but quite a few people were coming in for take away, nice pies, good mash, and superb liquor, and the staff seemed very friendly, will definately return

Wow - dined last night, service was unbelievably good. Almost like they read your mind. Best food I’ve had in a long while - well worth the money and visit.

My daughter has just had her wedding here and what a fantastic experience it was. From the moment we got there till the moment we left. the day went like clockwork . With this beautiful and immaculate venue you have a team of totally professional people running your event for you. The food they on offer is amazing and guests the next day were saying how good it was. All I can says is a massive thank you to everyone involved in Harry and Natasha’s wedding.

Stopped off for a Sunday dinner and we were not let down. Roasts are terrific. Meat was well cooked and tasty with a nice variety of veg and huge Yorkie. Elite and her staff were attentive. We will Certainly be visiting again.

went to my favourite eating place in Waltham Abbey for my 75th Birthday Bash. 12 of us ate mains and desserts. They have alcoholic drinks as well as shakes, coffees and teas, Smoothies and tinned drinks, also ice cream. We had a wonderful time, good food, good service and good friends - what more could you want?

We popped into 8 Rocks for breakfast after a Parkrun. We are pleased we did. The place was clean, staff clearing tables quickly after customers had left and were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing or making us feel rushed. The menu was expansive - we had eggs royale and a salt beef bagel - both of which were lovely. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Had a lovely Sunday Roast here today to celebrate Mother's Day, It was our first visit to this traditional local pub and we wouldn't hesitate to return. We had a delicious meal and were made to feel very welcome by the landlady Karen and barmaid Emily. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends.

Rude obnoxious little bald man nearly got a punch in the face over my parking outside the car park, will not be going back, tea is piss water as well.

Possibly the worst customer service I have experienced ever. Baileys comes as a 50ml as standard not 25ml.

The food was plentiful and delicious. I had a ploughmans and it was old style.. perfect The service was quick and the staff were friendly. Can't recommend this venue enough
