The hive loughton in Epping Forest

Popped in whilst on a central line pub crawl and found this hidden gem! Coffee and beers available and their menu looked delicious but we didn’t eat

The food here was lovely and I was stuffed upon leaving. But the atmosphere here is so friendly and the staff are so attentive. I live in leicester but when I’m in Essex I would definitely visit here again. Diago was so lovely and was so kind and hospitable. Thank you for a lovely meal I didn’t put a picture up because I ate it all. 😂

I visited here for lunch whilst visiting the Oakwood Hill industrial estate. It’s very well-situated for here and Langston Rd. Friendly staff and a nice selection of food - but not the rubbish usual cafes serve! I had the penne bolognese and would visit and eat here again!

How lovely is this place! Stoped off to have lunch and was surprisingly delighted with the garden area and the home made food. Would definitely recommend stopping by for some lunch. Thank you

That was the best pizza I have ever had. I had the Sicilian. The burger went down with my companion very well indeed. Really lovely chef and waitress - service was fantastic. Dead east to get to by train. Couldn’t fault it in any way!

Good quality food and drinks. Staff are very good and the food was freshly cooked and amazing. Will be back very soon.

Always drive past and wonder what the pizzas are like.Ordered pizza and a buttermilk chicken burger for dinner earlier and it was spot on.Kids loved the pizza and I will definitely be having another chicken burger soon.Fresh and tasty.

We ordered for the first time from Hive café tonight, because a friend had said they do sourdough. Really lovely, fresh, hot pizza arrived at our doorstep in good time and staff were very friendly. Will be ordering from there again.

Wow! We just had pizza from Hive Cafe for the first time. It was delivered quickly arrived piping hot with a smile. The guy promised we would enjoy it and he was absolutely right! Amazing beautiful tasty pizza. Lovely fresh ingredients it was a real treat and the family loved it. We will be regular customers henceforward! Thanks

I am so pleased that somewhere like The Hive has finally opened - to save us from our many relatively expensive meals of bad pizza from other local chains. The sourdough base at The Hive is absolutely delicious. Crispy, yet chewy and soft inside, with a beautiful flavour. You know it's good when your kids eat all their pizza crusts. I was pretty impressed with how absolutely perfectly cooked the egg was on top of my Fiorentina pizza. The Pepperoni was simple, for my boys' simple pallette - but so flavourful still and the Piccantino had the right hit of spice and meat. The pizzas are good sized, none of us could finish one - which is great, because who doesn't love a slice of leftover pizza from the fridge? And they're all priced between about £6-£10. It's win/win.

The title says it all - the pizza was delicious and we found it to be very reasonably priced, topped with nice, friendly service. We were delighted to find the Hive not too far from an area of London we've only just recently moved to and will definitely return once this whole covid madness allows us to. We're both vegetarians and had the Romana pizza. I usually joke that there's no such thing as a bad pizza, but at the same time, I'm rarely ever wowed by the pizzas I eat these days - The Hive's Romana pizza, however, certainly did the trick, the sourdough was amazing and it felt very fresh, with the feta cheese just making it perfect for our tastes, really surpassing our expectations.

Had a lovely meal just now at The Hive Cafe. Both pizzas were delicious and authentic tasting. The side of Avocado was very fresh and creamy. The Tiramisu could have done with a slug of alcohol, but otherwise it was great and we will come back!

A cozy Italian restaurant I ordered " The Fully Loaded " pizza this one is definitely for meat lovers fully recommended! The chef told us they even get the cheese imported straight from Italy just mouth watering. Perfection.. Will be going there again

Perfect, wholesome, hearty, quality pizza sourdough with wonderful toppings. Deliciously tasty! Great coffee and customer service. Certainly the place to order your weekly night pizza fill, I truly can't find anywhere better!

Amazing food & prices. Lovely atmosphere. Kind waiting staff and the food is as good as the price. My first trip has turned me into a regular. You can get a full filling, tasteful meal for less than £10 with change to spear! Family friendly, great for cute/casual lunches, dinning with friends, all the above!!! I had been walking past this place to work for a number of weeks and at last got the chance to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. Good varied menu and a board of special. I had a chicken salad which was heaped with great veg. My friend had the sweet potato with feta and salad and both were good and plentiful. Nice lady serving and we had plenty of time in my hours lunch break. Well worth a try

good service, fresh food - I hope it manages to get the foot fall it needs to survive! would suit people working/studying locally - also serves a beer too.
