The best restaurants serving British food in East Midlands

Dropped in.for evening meal with no knowledge of the place before. Well what a charming country pub with excellent attentive staff. Food was absolutely amazing . And despite the good quality was surprisingly good value. We dropped in at a busy time..And was told there would be a long wait. Well it was well worth that wait. Often a gamble dropping in on an unknown place. But this gamble.paid off would thoroughly recommend. And will definately be back .

Great village pub, fabulous food, great service, friendly staff and locals.

Managed to squeeze us in for Sunday lunch which was a bonus to start with! The food was absolutely amazing. Broad menu which caters for all. We had the Beef Sunday roast, the red cabbage and the cheesy leeks were delicious. All of the veg was so fresh and the meat was beautiful. My son had the quorn buttermilk chicken burger which came with fires and salad, he ate everything on his plate and commented on how nice the fries were.

Fantastic service from our server, Viki. Viki was very helpful, polite and super friendly with great professionalism. The food was amazing and the garden is great for a Lunch. My husband and I really enjoyed it.

Come here every week lovely staff members we love jane, cearen they are alway friendly and always welcoming we live coming hear as a family xx

Could be a great pub but put off by barking dogs wanting to get at other dogs,some of which were actually takiing up seats.irt it had a dog free area I would be back with friends again

Good food at reasonable prices. The fish and chips is particularly good. Excellent service and good selection of drinks too. Would definitely recommend

Easy to book. Spacious seating area and comfortable. Parking just across the road. The service and quality of food is very good indeed. We all had roast beef carvery but the other meats on offer looked equally delicious to the perfectly cooked and tender roast beef. The mashed potatoes were stunning. Likewise the jug of gravy provided to the table. We had a bottle of wine but there was a good selection of beers and lagers on offer. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

The Thatch is a fabulous place - the setting, staff and food are fantastic and it’s one of our favourite places to go. Never disappointed. Beautiful decor, fantastic garden at the back to enjoy a relaxing drink on a spring/ summer evening. Food is always fab. Cannot recommend highly enough

Lovely little restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff . The food was beautifully cooked and presented. A memorable night. I doubt this culinary experience would be beaten by any establishment of its type in Lincolnshire.

Just had the most delicious afternoon tea ! It looked exactly like the pictures. Boxes on the table to take any uneaten cake home so you don’t feel embarrassed asking for them…..nice touch that. Service was excellent and surroundings were comfortable….Highly recommend……..we will defiantly book it again !

Just stopped in after a fixie ride out in the wind. Beautiful pint(s) of Timothy Taylor Boltmaker and some good, relaxing chat with locals with a great choice of music as background. No food advertised but plenty of snacks. I cannot express how clear the real ale was so I'll snap it for the beer tickers out there. I will return. A lot.
