The best restaurants serving Asian food in South West Scotland

Dreadful food & service - wontons to start, only ate one between us as they were very oily and pretty tasteless. I had the duck, tamarind sauce was very unpleasant and the vegetables were rock hard. My daughter had the sweet and sour stir fry, but didn't eat it as it had a strange plastic/chemical type taste to it. We were given a dessert menu and 5 to 10 minutes later, the waitress lifted the menu and asked us to leave as they needed the table back! We were charged full price for everything, although only the duck dish was eaten. Won't be back!

Just had a plate of the gnocchi. I was kind of expecting the usual plate of rib sticking mush but instead I was dished up a beautifully created plate of flavours. Very impressive. Each mouthful gave a surprising wee nugget of something different. Perfectly cooked, a myriad of texture and the perfect portion size served on sparklingly clean crockery and served up by an enthusiastic and happy lass with red hair. A crisp pint of cider was an unintentionally perfect pairing. First class stuff. Thank you.

Hi we ordered a takeaway legally as per covid ! We live only an 8 minute drive away, we were told 20 minutes for collection and we arrived in good time to no que and left for home at around 20 minutes later ! We ordered chicken pakora which was cold ! A portion of chicken tikka masala and it was grainy almost as though the yogurt wasn’t fresh as the sauce looked sandy and was slightly gritty in texture, we also ordered a chicken Korma and the sauce was the same but also spicy (which Korma isn’t supposed to be). With both mains we ordered fried pilau rice which was also cold but even worse when you opened the containers the rice came out in rectangular lumps and it didn’t want to separate and clumped together. The rice was definitely reheated from probably the day before as we ordered our meal at 5.30pm ish. I ordered from this shop on the TripAdvisor ratings and having ordered a starter and 2 main courses if 1 thing was going to be disappointing then fair enough but for the whole meal to be crap then I suggest the owners have had a big hand in the ratings for their establishment. I also at the point of ordering our meal made a point of telling the guy on the phone that this was the 1st time I had ordered from them as their ratings looked great. I will definitely not be spending my hard earned cash in this establishment again disappointed is an understatement !

Tried the Festive Menu just before Christmas and the food was top notch. The new chef seems to have turned things around and just hope he gets supported in the future.

After being let down else where locally we stopped by here for a meal, staff were able to squeeze us in even though it was very busy, staff were lovely and attentive, food was amazing and piping hot, highly recommended and will be back again and again and again.

Tells us food is delivered when no one even delivered absolute joke of a place call and no one answered will definitely not be using that dump again

Love this takeaway, used it for years. Very quick, staff friendly and delivery drivers professional. Food good. Love the pizzas. Price is reasonable.

Both dishes (chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce; chicken and ham fried rice)were tasty, delicious and delivered quickly.

Had a chicken chow main as I have had many times before but tonight it was full of grease, had to use kitchen paper to soak up as much as I could ended up in the bin….still hungry. Don’t know what happened tonight different chef maybe??? Won’t be back

I had a very disappointing experience in ordering from King Kebab yesterday. I ordered Donner Kebab which was okay, good portion but the Channa Chaat that I've ordered was awful. Coming from a Southasian background, I know how they are supposed to look and take like. They already have picture in the website but the actual dish was a bloody mess. The sauce is supposed to be in a separate container but they for some reason soaked the entire channa into the sauce. It was just plain channa in a red sauce, no add-ons like onion or cilantro or chaat masala, nothing. Highly disappointing!!!

Visited on 26th December 2024 at around 4 pm. I used the app to order food & drinks. Drinks arrived within a few minutes, and our food was within 10 minutes. Food looked and tasted delicious. Friendly staff.
