From the moment we stepped in the door we felt so welcomed by the owners of this family run restaurant. The menu is extensive, filled with loads of fantastic options. We both settled with stew, me with lamb and my partner with fish. I had a fruity mocktail! Everything was absolutely perfect. So delicious and fresh and packed with flavour, portion sizes were very generous too! I can't fault our visit here - we both said that the warmth and passion of the owners shone through the quality of the food, we left feeling happy and full 💗

Today me and my four friends had dinner at Linden Inn, the food was really good but unfortunately the service was awful. We were overcharged for drinks, politely asked to recalculate which was done. The second bill was made with an extra fillet steak added to it which we didn't notice as everyone calculated their share and we paid, left a tip too. Then one of the waitresses approached us and said we didn't pay enough, asked to pay an extra £26. We then looked into it and noticed their mistake. The waitresses were very obviously annoyed that we pointed the mistake out, there was no apology. They gave us out tips back by basically dumping it on the table and walked away!! When I said it wasn't very nice, I got "mistakes happen my lovely". This was said in a non friendly tone, the waitresses kept looking at each other as if we were wrong or something. They never smiled, were not polite. We left very disappointed and offended by such rude treatment.

When we went to go get food, it said on google maps it was open and it wasn’t. My mum went to go get food while I stayed in the car and she said that 3 dogs were about to jump on her, there were bin bags everywhere and it looked very dirty and it looked like it was permanently closed so

We loved Vandal Perth and were gutted when it closed. So we naturally thought we'd try Dundee as we expected the same experience. Sadly the food was worse, it was incredibly expensive for what it was. The place was freezing and overall just a poor experience. You have to pay extra for fries, and they sneakily include a 10% service charge to the bill on top. Just pay your staff properly instead! Be transparent. Shame, but we aren't going to risk another visit.

Staying in Campbeltown, a local person reccomended the Kintyre at Ugadale, having been to a whisky event early evening and not wishing my partner to have to drive, we initially thought it would not be possible. To then find that the hotel/restaraunt offer a mini bus sevice at our convenience from and back to town it seemed like a good idea. Picked up by a very nice chap in the mini bus, on time, agreed a t time with him for return and arrived for an 8pm booking. Excellent surroundings, decor, staff were cheerful and efficient food was superb wine was very good and not over priced, bill was more than acceptable for two excellent courses and wine. Scallops and potted shrimp starters were beautifully presented and excellent, Carolines fish was both plentiful and perfectly cooked, my fillet steak was as good as I have had anywhere and cooked perfectly. Portions meant the sweet menu was not required. Drink in the bar as we waited for the driver. He had suggested 9:30, we said 10, he was right. However beer was good and the staff delightful. (hope you enjoy the concert Chloie) A good solution if you are looking for an excellent meal in a special sort of place, wouldn't hesitate to go again even if it was just to try the fish and chip and burger options on the very varied menu.

We were very detained in getting to our destination because of an accident on the A9 and everyplace was closed by the time we arrived to town; our only hope was that the restaurant would be open in the hotel. They had full bookings but were gracious enough to squeeze 2 rather hungry and shaken travellers into the drawing room for dinner. The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us given the circumstances. The pasta dish we had was off the chain, and I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality. Well done, staff!!

Food was amazing and really friendly staff! Lovely atmosphere and really appreciate everything that goes on in the kitchen to make everything perfect.

What an interesting place, looks nothing from the outside, and we did NOT want Nando's. The food is has that little twist on the normal, I had the Succulent Thai Beef Sandwich at £12.95 and Sonia the Gabe’s Bangers & Mash £10.25 both of us very pleasantly suprised and delighted by the flavours.

Really enjoyed The Diner. Top marks for being very dog friendly not to mention human friendly as well. This place serves lots of dishes remembered from childhood..ice cream floats..chip butties and the best Mac and cheese I have tasted in ages and it's all done with a smile and a chat. It has no pretensions and is just a great place to go and eat and enjoy.
