The Rannoch Larder in Perth & Kinross

We were very detained in getting to our destination because of an accident on the A9 and everyplace was closed by the time we arrived to town; our only hope was that the restaurant would be open in the hotel. They had full bookings but were gracious enough to squeeze 2 rather hungry and shaken travellers into the drawing room for dinner. The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us given the circumstances. The pasta dish we had was off the chain, and I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality. Well done, staff!!

My family and I had a birthday celebration at the hotel on Saturday. As it was a busy service we were accommodated in the beautifully appointed Estate Room rather than the Rannoch Larder we’d booked which suited us absolutely fine. The former is due to be the hotel’s Fine Dining room, but due to operational issues, including a lack of staff this hasn’t yet opened. The Estate room’s lighting, the use of tablecloths and general ambience was we felt much more conducive to the celebratory occasion. Service by Zoltan and his colleagues was efficient, friendly and quick, and our respective dishes were all beautifully cooked, and presented . The prices weren’t outrageous and all our dishes were reasonably priced, eg, Steak and chips was £18. All in all the four of us had a great evening, highly recommended.
