Great food, great ambiance, great staff topped with an excellent singer - James Burton. Good music but not overly loud so you could speak to each other. Would recommend and return if we are ever in the area again. Prices reasonable

This place is absolutely amazing - the staff are fabulous and knowledgeable and the quality of food is second to none. The only word of caution is to book in advance because it’s fairly small and can get busy quickly

Popped in the other night for a night cap, we had a couple of drinks, staff was non helpful of around. But on leaving didn’t give us the option to pay cash until we had the correct amount. What way is this to run a restaurant. No wonder is was rather empty. We won’t be back !

Pros: * Really tasty burgers & chips / Kids Mac & cheese was good too 👍🏻 Everyone enjoyed their food. * Busy venue with golfers & families - good atmosphere * staff friendly & attentive Cons: * it was a wee bit smoky at times from the cooking /char grilling, as kitchen open plan to restaurant. This didn’t put us off, will def visit again when in St Andrews.

Really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was really good and the staff were lovely. Really good value with good portion size.

Been here twice now and both times food was absolutely delicious, can't fault it at all. Staff friendly and not over bearing like in some other places you go to. I'm not a burger fan but the ones here are brilliant.

Probably the best fajitas I have ever had . Tons of chicken it was a struggle to finish it all. Tiny place that packs a punch. We enjoyed all the wall decor kind of like a mini Hard Rock Cafe but 10 times better. We were told one of the few family run places left in the town. You can really tell the extra care and attention that goes in when it’s a personal business. Great place and reasonable pricing for the location.

Book here for a lunch and it was fantastic. Granted we were the first in but it was busier by the time we left. We both had starters and mains and that was enough. The staff were really nice and not too overbearing the restaurant is clean and quirky and the food was top notch. Can’t fault it, will definitely visit again.

Continues to serve great food. Had the chicken fajitas and honestly the best I have ever had! Huge portion of delicious chicken with lots of onions and peppers. Lovely staff as well. I would highly recommend.

Dropped in for a meal and although they were busy had room for us. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had sirloin steaks which were tender and cooked to perfection. It’s not cheap but well worth every penny.

Popped in on an off chance, dog friendly, busy little place , staff very friendly and efficient, food delicious, I had double burger my wife had sirloin steak both agreed lovely meal, seemed to be full of American golfers , yes I would recommend visiting this place if your after burgers or steak👍🏻

Das Ziggy's hat uns von aussen sehr angesprochen, weshalb wir für das Abendessen einen Tisch reserviert haben. An diesem Tag war es gut besucht, will heissen das Restaurant war voll bis auf den letzten Platz. Wir haben uns für eine BBQ Platte entschieden. Die Portionen waren einfach viel zu gross. Das Essen hat uns eher entäuscht, das Hühnerfleisch war sicherlich nicht mehr ganz frisch, weshalb wir es nicht gegessen haben. Andere Fleischsorten und die Beilagen waren OK, aber auch nicht mehr...

Have eaten here numerous times however never with a puppy (my daughters) they made us feel very welcome. Food was of an excellent standard as always. Atmosphere fantastic and staff go above and beyond. Every time we come to fife this is our go to place! Never had a questionable meal all four of us are always impressed by our menu choices. However I have yet to manage two courses never mind three, portion sizes are huge!

Ziggy's was very near where I was staying and looked interesting, so I stopped in. I returned a week later with friends. It became their go-to spot. The staff was good, and the food was quality. I leaned toward fish & chips and more local offerings, while my friends found the wings, burgers and steaks spot on. Always a good pint available. While there is a good variety on the menu, if you want some classic American dishes, this is your place. The Ziggy Rock and Roll atmosphere, with posters, albums and instruments was fun.

We visited here one night over the Christmas period. We had booked a table (which I would definitely advise) which was ready on our arrival. The restaurant was full, with a great atmosphere and music playing in the background. We had chicken burgers and macaroni cheese, which were both excellent. Service was great, atmosphere was great, and the food was excellent! We will definitely return the next time we eat out in St Andrews, and would definitely recommend. Thanks for a brilliant evening!

I had a gourmet burger, which comes with fries, and a can of coke, delivered to my house. Within twelve hours I was struggling to get out of bed, owing to awful stomach pains, diarrhoea, nausea, and fever. This lasted for three days, meaning that I missed Christmas.I don’t know which ingredient in the meat burger gave me this poisoning. However, since it took me a long time to recover, my bet is with the beef.I will never eat at Ziggy’s again, and they’re lucky I’m not the suing type, as I was tempted to contact my solicitor about the possibility of taking legal action.Avoid!!!

Been to ziggys a few times now and have never been disappointed. The decor and atmosphere are excellent. I recon this is the best restaurant in St Andrews. Everything is fresh and they have an extensive gluten free menu. The staff are very professional znd polite. Well done, again.

I visited this place alone, was gonna order take out, however they told me if I order take out I can’t have the salad and chips that’s supposed to come with the meal, and I have to pay the same( strange). So I ate there instead, no one check on me while I was there, but the waitress literally asked every other customers how was their food and if they would like anything( yes they were all white). I feel neglected and unwelcome, the overall experience was just strange

First time visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary had a great meal. Staff and atmosphere added to the occasion. Special thanks to the couple celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary who surprised us with a lovely dessert. Very much appreciated! We will be back xx

6 of us went for lunch today. No criticism at all. We were made to feel welcome. Friendly staff, nothing too much bother. We all had different meals and everything came out hot and plentiful and at the same time!,, Very pleasurable experience and we will go back again soon.

This is a wee gem of a restaurant. We didn't get to eat inside as we hadn't booked but we had a lovely meal in the outside garden. The staff are friendly and very helpful, next time I'm in St Andrews i will be booking this place!

Booked a table for 7 on the eve of daughter’s wedding. Great service and yummy food served in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff realised our daughter was getting married and gave us a free bottle of fizz! Lovely gesture.

Visited on Friday for dinner with 3 adults, 2 children. Wasn’t sure on arrival as quite compact and busy. Any concerns faded away once the food arrived; chicken wings, sliders, veggie burrito and triple burger. Delicious and empty plates, full bellies soon afterwards. Phew too stuffed for dessert. We will return. One word of warning; portions are large and very tasty.

It must have been over 20 years since I last dined in Ziggy’s.Really enjoyed my recent visit, staff were top notch, atmosphere was really good (even with the C19 restrictions) and the food was tasty and reasonably priced.Unfortunately I had my heart set on the ribs which were unavailable so need to dock a point.

We went to Ziggys a few years back and loved it, so we decided to return for lunch. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. The restaurant is nice and the staff were great but the food was inedible.I had a steak club sandwich and she had a house hot dog, both with fries. The club sandwich was edible but it was just disgusting. The hot dog was just a plain hot dog and on a bone dry roll, looked like the type of thing you got at school. Chips were genuinely frozen inside. I think it was the only meal I've not been able to eat in a restaurant ever.We didn't want to cause a fuss about the food at the time as the staff were nice, but I don't think we will rush back any time soon.

We loved the vibe in this place from the young and welcoming staff who looked after us so well. The prawns in garlic butter with red onion were very tasty. We then opted for two fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, fries and onion rings. We asked for the steaks to be cooked to medium and they arrived perfectly cooked. The Malbec wine to wash it all down was equally delicious. Overall, really glad we visited this busy and popular local restaurant. Well done to all the team. Highly recommended for a laid back & casual dining experience. We look forward to our next visit.

I visited Ziggys last week when on holiday with a friend and it truly is a hidden gem!Located just of North Street this small rock themed restaurant is a must if visiting or passing through St Andrews. I had the burger and my mate had the steak which was cooked to perfection! Food and drink served to a high standard and quickly. Everything is reasonably priced and staff are polite and welcoming.Highly Recommended!

We absolutely loved this .. the food was amazing .. family of 4 … huge portions … great service and value for money … add in an amazing decor with photographs and memorabilia of pop icons.l don’t think you will find anywhere better , throughly recommend

Returning to an old favourite for the first time in two years, we were delighted that everything was much as we remembered. Friendly service and excellent food. The burgers are first class but we also enjoyed the balmoral chicken and the sirloin steak. Generous portion sizes meant there was no room for dessert.

Just had a wonderful meal that I would highly recommend, our table wasn’t ready for us when we arrived as customers were still finishing off, we popped up for a drink to a nearby bar, Sammi came up to tell us our table was ready for us, excellent service and a lovely girl, service throughout the night was first class thank you.

We had a lovely lunch and a few drinks, small place that was very busy only 2 staff who worked hard.We will return for dinner on our return to St Andrew's.Food was fresh and large portions.

Had a wonderfully filling meal for 4 here with friends from waaay back. Attentive service, great menu (even allowed for some variations if you are picky) and good portion size. My haggis wrapped in chick breast wrapped in bacon was excellent and we all were very pleased with our choices and the whole experience- well done Ziggy’s

We were recommended Ziggy's Bar by a friend of the family. Initially we thought we had booked for 6 adults, and 3 kids, but on arrival they confirmed they had only put su down for 6 adults. This was rectified very quickly, and promptly, without any fuss at all which was great to see.The menu does a riff on pub grub classics, with burgers, ribs, and mexican inspired food taking centre stage. We had a mix of these, with my nachos loaded with haggis and scottish cheddar cheese a whole bunch of awesome!Everyone's food was great, but the only thing we struggled with was the heat as it was a blindingly hot day and there wasn't much air movement in the bar which made it quite stifling. That complaint though, has nothing to do with the food or the service, which was great.A brilliant pub, with super tasty grub, and huge portions. Beware the heat if you're visiting in the summer though!

Booked here for dinner on our first night for our family of 4. A great meal, fantastic service and a wide choice on the menu. Even better it was just round the corner from where we were staying. My son had the rack of ribs and wings - huge portion that could have fed us all. We all enjoyed our meal so much we came back for lunch a few days later. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting St Andrews

Visited Friday 9th July with my husband, kids and parents. Fantastic live music, food was great, service amazing and atmosphere was brilliant! Was so good we tried to book for the following night but as expected they were fully book. Will be the first place (and maybe even the second and third) we visit on our next trip!

Visited on a luvly sunny evening so opted to sit outside in their luvly garden area. Friendly welcome from staff, ordered garlic prawns to share, chicken fajitas and the Greedy Burger, which was massive, also enjoyed their white house wine. All food was delicious and freshly made. Garden has a great atmosphere, table beside us (owners family) celebrating a birthday, and kindly gave us some birthday cake, a luvly gesture, we had a luvly meal and evening, and will be back next time staying in St Andrews, worth a visit. :) :)

Just brilliant!Great ambience & decor, truly superb food. Best burger I’ve had in years! 2 chillis & chicken fajitas went down a treat with my girls. A really extensive menu. Definitely our no. 1 eating destination in St. Andrews from now on. Fantastic job, guys.

I don’t know if we had just come at the wrong time because all the reviews I read were so positive, but it really wasn’t very great. The young waiter clearly has having a bad day. When you walked in you could smell the cooking oil needed changed, and it definitely effected the taste of the chips. The burger was very dry and not very appealing however the wings were alright. It lacked atmosphere but again maybe we were just there at the wrong time.

Our yearly visit to St Andrews must always include a meal at Ziggy’s. We love it. Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had the ribeye steak which was cooked just the way I like it and you must have the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on the side. Hubby had chicken fajitas which arrived at the table still sizzling on a hot iron board! Washed down with a tasty Malbec. Their desserts are amazing but we were really full and couldn’t squeeze one in but if you have room left you must try the cheesecake or hot fudge sundae. Thanks again to Annie and all the staff xx

Had a range of drinks and food and all were delicious. Two teenagers and two parents all very satisfied, full and happy! Large portions and very tasty. Would definitely come back.

Visited here for lunch. Music themed cafe/bar with music memorabilia especially David Bowie hence the name. I had king hot dog and fries and my friend garlic prawns for starter and steak and chicken fajitas which he said were delicious. Good vibes in the place. Though they have an outside area as well which kept the two people working very busy but not a problem. The outside is very nice as well . Worth a visit. It is down a side street but easily found.

Come here for an end of term meal. Working in a nursery fairly builds up the appetite and ziggys did not disappoint. Annie was soon to notice the thirst around the tables and we gladly accepted a tasty FREE shot! The food was amazing as always (I have visited here many many times) and we even took our left overs to eat later on which was a great delight after a few to many cocktails! Couldn’t rate the staff more for their service and patience. Thanks ziggys I will most certainly be back for your outstanding chicken fajitas and ‘Bramble’ cocktail!!!!

Family diner serving familiar favourites, burgers, chilli, steaks etc. The portions are large so take that into account if your ordering starters or lots of sides. Creamy mushroom starters and sizzling prawns got the thumbs up. The fajitas and chicken wings and ribs were reasonable and the portions were large enough for hungry golfers, with leftovers to go if you wanted to take them. The service could do with a little more finesse, our plates were collected by a server who had not been trained how to clear in properly, which resulted in dirty cutlery falling back onto the table and floor.

I’ve been to StAndrews many times over the years but had always missed out on ziggys. It is very central but slightly tucked away.We put that right this time around.Me and my lovely partner had a great night in here.We took our dog Albert with us and he loved it to and he can be a fussy wee monkey too...Classic posters on the wall, a good feel place.Food was lovely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, the wine list was lovely tooGreat service just a joy

Managed to get a booking for our group and it was the highlight of our weekend in St. Andrews, much ,much better than the golf, the welcome and quick drinks service for our group was great and the quality of the food and service was the best we have encountered in many months, the owner and staff expressed their delight in seeing people enjoying them selves agin in here great restaurant with a great collection of music memories. the quality of the main courses were great and cooked very well, I look forward to getting the opportunity to visit again and a great experience, many thanks to the owners and all their great staff.

It’s just one of the best places to eat in the whole of the fife coast, anytime I’m in St Andrews I always come here to eat , food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent too, always leave the restaurant feeling totally satisfied with the quality and presentation of the food, staff are first class and super friendly, if you haven’t tried it, book a table and you won’t be disappointed

Never been before but what a find. Great, reasonably priced cocktails and the macaroni cheese was to die for, excellent. Great vibe about the place too. Recommend the secret garden cocktails, yummy. We’ll def be back .

What a welcoming and friendly restaurant. A group of 16 golfers descended on Ziggy's on Friday 11th June for a meal with every reasonable expectation for a good meal, some nice wine and friendly chat. Our expectations were surpassed by a country mile. The food and drink were excellent, but the "icing on the cake" was the staff and in particular the owner whose name I did not get. After our meal was finished and all but one of her customers had gone, she allowed a member of staff to remove an acoustic guitar from the wall, and for one of our group to lead the singing and entertainment. Not only was she a great sport for giving her permission to get the guitar off the wall, she also joined in much of the singing. After much fun, laughter and song, the remaining customer came over and told us what a great night he had. We then all gave the owner a big hug and a thank you for helping us to all have such a great night. Sorry that I did not get your name, but many thanks for making our visit so memorable.

After being in lockdown for so long, this was the perfect first night back out. Amazing food, amazing staff, great atmosphere and the best of live music by Jamie Button! Cant thank the owner and staff enough for their great hospitality and unbelievably good food. Go when you’re hungry, you’ll want to eat everything they offer! Highly recommend the frozen strawberry daiquiri but everything was delicious.

First time back at Ziggys since lockdown and it was well worth the wait. Lots of choice on the menu but I had been looking forward to one of their burgers for ages and it didn’t disappoint.......absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and efficient. Went for a meal after lockdown ended.We ate outside and the facility is covered and comfortable . ( we wont talk about the rubbish Scottish weather! )I had balmoral chicken and chips. Very nice. Chicken was a bit overcooked, but not inedible.My son had a huge burger and he really enjoyed it.Service was good and attentive. Had a couple of cocktails which were well mixed and tasty.

We had dinner here last night. We ate in the covered area outside and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The area was spotlessly clean. We watched waiting staff sterilise tables and chairs after use and this was thorough.Staff were lovely: very obliging, happy to chat, smiling and genuinely pleased to help. Great ambience. The food was excellent too: reasonably priced, piping hot, very tasty..... and plentiful!!As holidaymakers we felt very welcome, we enjoyed our meal and we will return. Thank you Ziggy’s.

Our first experience was a lovely welcome and first class service from Tanya - nothing was too much trouble.The wings and ribs were delicious and were so tender, the meat fell off the bone - great sauce.The chicken nachos had lots of sides and were perfect.We then met Annie and Phil, the owners. Music enthusiasts like ourselves - a wonderful evening, definitely to be repeated on our next trip.

First time in a long time had a meal out in a restaurant, food was amazing had the Chilli which is always tasty, my friends had burgers and Caesar salad which looked good. Drinks took a while to arrive but staff were good about it we understood Really wanted their cheesecake but just couldn't do it was so full but would recommend nice the have homemade desserts as many places don't.

We attended for a family meal on the very first day of the restaurant reopening after lockdown. The food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic. We’ve been a few times before and you’d never have known it was the first day back for staff and chefs etc. They were so friendly and the food was ready quickly and was amazing. All 6 of us had different things and every one of us loved our choices. It was the first time I’ve tried the lasagne and I’ll definitely be getting that next time too. Fantastic. We had a takeaway from Ziggys tonight chicken Faheetas , scampi and chips and barbecue wings . Huge portions of food and so delicious. Looking forward to eating in when they open up again.

Takeaway roast beef dinner was so tasty and piping hot. Husband’s fish and chips was amazing. Ziggy’s never fails to deliver!!!! Well worth the visit.

Fab food and a great delivery service from Ziggy’s. The Lasagne is the best and was enough for 2 people. The rack of ribs were delicious and the meat just fell off the bone, cooked to perfection. Can’t recommend enough

We visited during Covid lockdowns but the staff and owners couldn’t have been more helpful, served drinks outside with a smile even though it was a tad fresh, we decided to eat inside and suffer the soft drinks, I am so glad we did, food was top draw, wings for starters and steak for main. Everything was just perfect. Thank you for making a difficult time to be out very, very tolerable. Can’t wait to visit in better times.

If you like frozen food this is the place for you!!! Aunt bessie roast potatoes, frozen cauliflower and broccoli mix and afraid to say so was the lamb, reheated ****. Brown wafer thin lamb! Dauphinoise potatoes no seasoning and again frozen, glob on a plate!! Last time, returned steak 3x’s could not get rare and another chance today to redeem yourself, see you again 6 years and if you have improved!!!!!!

Went for our Sunday roast dinner here tonight and what a lovely evening, the atmosphere was lovely with some excellent tunes! It was a bit quieter but it still amazing. The food is always great! The honeycomb cheesecake was the highlight! The staff were very polite and helpful and it was very quick service! This is our second time at Ziggys at can honestly say this might be our new favourite place! Rock on!!

Yet another incredible meal at Ziggy's, we always have to dine here anytime we are in St Andrews, the food always perfect and plenty sized portions, and as always the service is second to none, they really know how to look after their customers, I had the fajitas and they were so good I went back the next day and had them again, so tasty and loads of it too , best ones ever had, 10/10all round, all I can say is go and book a table and sample the top notch food

Had not booked but staff were so accommodating and found two tables with space for a pram. Great selection of food on menu and the meal was excellent and well priced. Although we ate indoors there were tables outside with many golfers enjoying the beer and food.....unfortunately covid restrictions meant I could not have a pint inside with my food but will go back..

Visiting St Andrews to play golf. Stopped at Ziggys for a few drinks then strayed for food... a very good move. 12 guys split over tables due to COVID and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent (especially the burgers) and very well priced. It's not often I write a review but feel compelled to do so. See you next year guys!

HiWe went in during the day as we walked by and asked if they had a table for the evening which they did and it was a great choice, Staff were lovely and friendly and food was great and prices were also very good. It was that good we eat there twice in our 4 night stay and it was as good second time. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice chilled night with good food.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the staff in the Dunvegan and the tip was spot-on. The décor is cool, the food great value and great quality too.

La comida, el servicio y la observancia de las reglas de Covid fueron de primera clase. 4 del grupo comieron hamburguesas y 2 fueron por las fajitas. Los batidos recibieron las mejores calificaciones de los 3 que los tomaron. Mi favorito fueron las fajitas de pollo. Posiblemente el mejor que he probado en bastante tiempo. Mi esposa y yo no pudimos terminar nuestras fajitas porque las pociones eran muy generosas. Nuestro camarero nos dio una bolsa para perros y los disfrutamos al día siguiente. También debo mencionar que fue una buena relación calidad-precio. Vale la pena una visita y sin duda volveremos.

Mi esposo y yo visitamos este restaurante esta noche mientras estábamos en la zona durante una semana.Desde que ingresamos al restaurante tuvimos una bienvenida encantadora y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa, las 2 encantadoras damas que nos atendieron fueron Olivia y Kimberly, muy agradables y asegurándonos de que estuviéramos bien, noté que se estaban utilizando todos los protocolos de Covid, lo cual fue tranquilizador.El menú tiene mucho que ofrecer, elegí el bistec de 8 oz y no me decepcionó en absoluto, comida fresca increíble y, tenía un sabor fantástico, mi esposo eligió 'hacer su propia hamburguesa' con un lado de queso de macarrones, también sabía fantástico, aunque fue una gran porción y no pudo terminar.Nos sentimos muy relajados en nuestra visita y sin prisa, recomendaríamos al 100% este encantador restaurante y si volvemos a estar en la zona, sin duda volveremos.

A well organised restaurant for COVID. Great selection of food on offer and the steak and burgers we had were excellent. Great welcome and service.

Lovely meal and great service Unfortunately sitting next to table of 6 Yorkshiremen up for the golf Drunk and shouting loudly already ???from 2 different households - I think not Spoiled a nice meal unfortunately

Walked in to ask if there was table available on a early lunch time and got told there were not able to take 2 people for lunch even know the there was roughly 10-15 tables free inside and out.The girl wasn’t very friendly or helpful which annoyed me the most, her answer was just simply no.The restaurant looks nice and does have a nice menu, but sadly I wasn’t able to try.I understand with COVID bookings can be required but the restaurant was far from busy.

I have visited Ziggy,s many times over the years of going to St Andrews,so it deserves a review.Ziggy,s is a music memorabilia restaurant.The food is amazing and really large portions.I also really like how you get a chilled glass from the freezer ,for your beer (bottled)I didn’t have a starter this time,but in the past I have went for prawns in hot oil starter.These are fantastic.I had the Cajun chicken burger with bacon,this comes with chips.I struggled to finish this.This is one of my favourite restaurants to visit,I always come here when in St Andrews

The only reason we travel to St Andrews is to eat at ziggys. First time in a few years and it did not disappoint. Staff were super friendly and helpful, had to change our booking time and the couldn’t have been more accommodating. Food was just as we remembered it first class. If only you could move it to Edinburgh . 5 stars don’t leave St Andrews without visiting.

First time for my wife and I. Booked a table the previous evening. Arrived on time and shown to a table. We ordered and didn't have long to wait between courses. Large portions at each course that we both failed to finish. Super quality of dishes. Very friendly girls serving and we will definitely be back.
