The food was wonderful, absolutely delicious, however there was some kind of issue going on with the waiting on staff throught our meal there's was three woman, 1 on the bar and 2 in the restaurant they were so kind bless them only really spoke to the young restaurant waiter (looked youngest) but I have nothing bad to say about the others although as our food arrived there's was another lady who seemed to of came ut of the kitchen, bit dressed as formal(pink dress) as the others and not as hygienic , my main concern was they way she treated the other staff. our waiter (youngest one), the one who took our order .was amazing she understood our order and kept on smiling although something must of went wrong due to as the waiter came out from the kitchen she looked so upset we alsp witnessed a slight argument between the bartender and the concerning out of the ordinary staff member (the one who appeared from the kitchen) to sum up our visit, food was wonderful (seriously compliments to the chef/s) ,bartender and restaurant staff amazing, yet an unappetising lady who appeared from the kitchen who seemed to ruin my appetite the staff where amazing just maybe she should of been ready to face the public clearly took her by surprise due to looking a mess and not smelling the best

Grubby inside, food wasn't the best but still expensive for some reason. Disappointing and didn't like the place, definitely won't be returning.

The kitchen was stinking . Bins overflowing with rats in and out. Owner has an attitude problem. She also leaves nasty comments on soicial media about other business and companies

Marion (Maz!) really looked after us after we dropped in at this lovely pub. The beer was great, the general company was entertaining and informed. Two days later Maz cooked us the most amazing venison stew. You need to book a couple of days in advance but you should - it was the highlight of our trip!

Had a lovely lunch, The chicken parfait was excellent as was the fish n chips! The chips were the best we had ever eaten - gorgeous! The bar area was quiet and the staff very attentive . Will definitely recommend and can’t wait to return!

Came to the yew tree for the carvery after the reviews on here and Google. When we arrived we noticed it wasn't called the yew tree but something else (something munchies?). Anyway we couldn't see a carvery so just ordered Sunday lunch off the menu. They said we could order a mix of the meats, but they had no turkey so I ordered beef and pork. The meals came and everything was out of a frozen packet, nothing was fresh or home made apart from the cauliflower cheese. The meat was the sliced meat you buy in a packet to put on a sandwich! Gravy very watery too. I'm not fussy and was starving so ate it all, but was very disappointed.

I visited yesterday with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was years since I’d been and the level of service was as good as I remembered. The students and lecturers were attentive, polite and friendly. Most of the food was excellent, there were just a couple of little things not right, such as the pigs in blankets were undercooked. Overall a good experience.

Lovely little find. A delightful tea room with a great selection of cakes, tea & coffee. We had homemade welsh cakes (which were warmed up for us) and a Lemon & Earl Grey cake, all of which were gorgeous. A very friendly welcome from the gentleman serving us and he even took the time to show us and tell us about local attractions. I would definitely recommend this tea room to anyone in Llandrindod Wells.

We were in Maesteg for a visit and thought we’d call into the market but found it had permanently closed 5 months previously. This cafe used to be in the market but is now in a precinct area just outside of it. We both went for the all day breakfast for £4 - great value - bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, beans or tomatoes, mushrooms and toast as well as a mug of tea or coffee. For an extra £1 you could have had another egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and a slice of black pudding. The place was clean and tidy and the staff friendly. If we ever return to Maesteg we’d be happy to return here.
