Had a lovely lunch, The chicken parfait was excellent as was the fish n chips! The chips were the best we had ever eaten - gorgeous! The bar area was quiet and the staff very attentive . Will definitely recommend and can’t wait to return!

Stopped overnight and so glad I ate in this restaurant. I chose to eat in the bar but they also have a larger area to eat just off. The place had a nice relaxed feel and the staff were all smiles and helpful. The food was delicious, Pigeon breast for starter and Venison for main. Both can be easily over cooked but these two dishes were perfect in taste, texture and also presentation. I would certainly stop here again.

The Springfield Hotel was a place we visited some years ago. This visit was to see the extensive refurbishments and have a meal. Pre prandial drinks were taken on the new and extended patio. It was a pleasant evening and the views, over the Dee and Wirral estuaries, was stunning. The dinner menu was inviting and offered full range of selection. Suffice to say that our choices were promptly served and excellent value. It is obvious the the Delfryn will establish itself as a 'place to go' in the Holywell area.

Dine here two or three times a week. This is a very relaxing establishment, with fabulous views across the Dee to the Wirral and beyond. Meals are always first class and well presented. Highly recommended.

I called in for Sunday lunch with my husband as wish we had not bothered. The entrance doors were filthy so right from the start it was a bad impression. We stood in reception for 5 minutes while the receptionist ignored us and carried on doing something on the computer. When we asked if they were still serving lunch she walked away and then came back a few moments later and said "You have to follow me" (oh do we?). The dining room was very tired with a small window looking out onto a scruffy patch of garden. My husband ordered a beer and me a white wine, the waiter came back with a different beer to the one ordered as they did not have any and my wine was warm with both drinks being in dirty glasses. We had the carvery and I have had better food in a transport cafe. The sprouts were hard, the roast potatoes actually "new potatoes" which looked as though they had been thrown in the chip pan, the yorkshire pudding was like cardboard and the mash potato had many lumps in itwhich were not cooked! We could not wait to get out and refused the offer of a pudding! We then had to queue up at reception and wait 10 minutes for the pleasure of paying for our horrible lunch.

This was our first visit and we had a very pleasant evening. One of our group has dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free). The staff were very attentive and helpful, checking the dishes chosen were suitable and safe. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Excellent service. We will definitely go back there.

Eight months since I ate here last, and it's lost none of the magic. I'm not going to try to recall all that was in the duck dish. Suffice to say a range of wonderful flavours that combined beautifully. I try to resist desserts where I can but spotted the brownies with pistachio ice cream and honeycomb at another table - and was powerless. It was certainly worth the indulgence! If you are looking for somewhere special to celebrate, then look no further!

Always tend to pop in here on visits to Mold. Very good value and good service. Nice home made chips and some good meal deals if you want a traditional meat and veg dinner.

Booked a table for 16 people 2 weeks in advance for Sunday lunch for our dads 60th birthday, having been here several times for family gatherings or as a couple for meals it was our first choice as food and service has always been great.service from the waitress this time was terrible she was quite frankly rude and we were made to feel unwanted the minute we were seated.having just taken our seats same asked us what did we want to order from the Sunday roast menu,I explained we were going to order drinks first and then we would be ready to order ,her reply we have these tables booked out after you! My mum immediately wanted to leave but not wanting to ruin dad’s meal as family had traveled from Manchester we stayed. Food came to the table quickly and disappointing, everyone’s Yorkshire puddings were burnt and hard we had a spoonful of instant mash and for the price small portions , the server was miserable and standoffish and unlike past reservations wasn’t very welcoming towards us , will not be coming back unfortunately everyone in our party wanted to complain but we didn’t for dads sake

I love this pub. The girls are all lovely, polite and friendly, striking the right balance of moving the service along, but never feeling rushed. The food last night was amazing! I went for the BBQ pulled pork Loaded Fries and it did not disappoint! On ordering, I felt the simple dish seemed expensive, being around the £18 mark, but on eating it it felt worth every penny 😋
