Not been for a while but had a lovely family time for my husband’s birthday The food was lovely fresh and hot and the service was excellent Did not disappoint Thank you

Fab night again at the Queens head. Service is excellent and always on it. No waiting at the bar even though it was so busy. Glasses cleared from tables quickly. Toilets are always clean and smell nice and the live music is outstanding. Well done guys you hosted a great night 👏

The Queen's Head is great for drinks, but the food is very poor. My mum opted for this venue as it was Mother's Day. I had a small prawn cocktail with very tiny rose marie sauce along with brown bread cut into triangles with a frozen butter portion to start, this was followed by lamb shank with roast potatoes and a small dollop of mash potato floating on the mint gravy. The extra veg was ok, but not very appealing - an extra bowl of mash would of been ideal. The only thing they seem to get right is my waffle and ice-cream. Then the elderly waitress came over and told us, that we would have to leave as they were expecting another reservation in 15 minutes, just as we were finishing our desert and the crazy thing is, she pulled the big screen down for the Wales VS France rugby match - not everyone wants to watch rugby in the dining area, especially if you're trying to encourage people to dine quickly and expect them to leave for the next reservation. We booked in advance online and it advertised a free glass of prosecco upon arrival, which we never received. We were told that it was cash only upon arrival - why couldn't they have mentioned this, whilst booking online? Awful!!! Never again!!!

Came upon this place purely by accident. We were travelling back from Moel Fammau and took a wrong turn. The host/barman/server/convivial owner was both pleasant and a whizz around the pub. The food was both cheap and delicious. This is a family run pub, albeit part of a group chain, but the gentleman behind the bar was an absolute delight. Nothing seemed to be a problem for him (and his attentive wife) and our food was served promptly and in a good, hot condition. It's great to see proper old style landlords, paying attention to the clientèle and keeping the locals topped up with their drink of choice. I'll certainly be recommending this little gem of a pub to my family and friends, when travelling through North Wales, to pop in and enjoy the atmosphere and staff. Hats off to you pal. A delight in a world of rampant commercialism and lack of courtesy towards the customer. Some of us still appreciate the connection and banter between customer and landlord.

Was a love meal and the food was very filling and the service was great. The waitress was very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

Excellent service and excellent food. Best Sunday lunch in the Flintshire area, thanks to Martin the chef. We will now eat here most Sundays.

From start to end the experience I had was one I won’t forget, been for a long morning walk and came in for a drink. Then decided food was needed and it was the best decision I made all day as it was delicious and served with a smile. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the ladies name who served me but she was a delight and very welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I’ll be back again a lot sooner than last as I’d make the journey just for the hospitality. Thank you everyone from front of house bar and restaurant

I have been to the queens head many of times. I can’t fault any service I have had at the pub. The food is always top class, and good prices. Every member of staff is welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. The Sunday Dinners are amazing, we would never go anywhere else on a Sunday, great value and great home made dinner!

We live in Gwersyllt and we call this our local land lady and her hubby are great and if you haven't been here there's a warm welcome Sunday dinner is out this world but you will have 2 book early in the week 2 get a table you will not be disappointed everyone is so friendly try it out take my word for it and hope you enjoy it as much as me and my hubby 😊 😊 hi Nike its cath and neil we got new car so will see you very soon

Excellent 3 course Christmas lunch with wine and tequila rose to finish. Hope to visit again soon in the New year

We didn't book a table and there were 2 parties of around 8 in, we waited for a table (for two) and we're told we must order quickly because they were clearly busy. Ordered an 8oz steak with extra chips (at an extra charge) and the plate was half empty, the steak had the texture of an old boot and the chips were overfried, popped with grease and appeared like they had been sat in a low temperature fryer half the day. I had the southern fried hunters chicken with salad. The flavours went well together, but the chicken breast itself was thin and old, almost like it had been taken off someone's plate who'd left it earlier. A very bleak salad that was swimming in the water it was stored in. We will never be eating here again. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the menu. How anyone can rate this place as good is absolutely beyond me.well overpriced. Don't waste your money! I had to rate this a one to write this review but I'd have given it a zero if I could.

Just outside the main town, Large newly tarred car park. Great beer,great affordable food, lower priced than nearby restaurant prices. Worth booking ahead and Large parties preordering to speed things up but food worth the wait.Plenty of outside seating in the summer. Worth a go.

Me and my family love this pub, mega mixed grill is amazing, always perfectly cooked. Fish and chips is also a family favourite. Great pint great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. We travel from Liverpool at least once a month an here is the only place we go.

We booked a table for 2 we ordered the light bite as we are both in our eighties we don't eat big meals I had the mushrooms they came in what I would call a dogs bowl very hard when trying to cut them they flew everywhere we both had the Hunters Chicken the chips were very crispy not nice, as we are regulars we have noticed the quality of the food is dropping and the customers are getting less

We visited the queens head today for a special celebration and there were 40 of us booked in, we all had lovely meals and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the Sunday dinner it is delicious x

From the moment you walk in your greeted with a smile and welcomed. Pete is a fantastic host who was friendly and polite.

We always have a great Sunday lunch at the Queen's Head in Mold. Portions are good as is the service. Not to be missed!

Went to the Queens Head for Sunday lunch. What a lovely traditional pub. The greeting was like we were old friends and the food was exceptional. At this price it's not worth cooking your own Sunday dinner. Have already booked for next week.

We had a table booked for 9 family 👪 members, to celebrate mothers day. From the time we all arrived,we were made to feel very welcome, by nicky the manager, and another gentleman, sorry did not know his name.we were shown to our table by him. The waitress came and took our orders,and was polite and professional. We did not have to wait long,to be served, with our meals, which were delicious. . They have great meal deals on in the week,at great prices. Just like to say a big thank you, to nicky, all staff,and of course the chef, for making my mothers day special. Many thanks 😊. Soon as we walked in we were welcomed in and showed to tables. When we came to order, we had nicola who was very helpful in helping us with the order an meal deal thing they had on and we had a few alterations to the order which she said was no problem .then we was served by heather who came out to ask an check the alterations very polite. Not very long food arrived fantastic and most all correct in what we asked for . Plenty of food very helpful staff not too loud will recomend to anyone in the area pop in and you you won't be disappointed.

Visited The Queens Head recently,with my family and must say everything was great. Steaks cooked perfect. My grandchildrens meals were great too. We had a starter and main and every thing was spot on. The staff were really nice . No complaints from us and...
