Had lovely Christmas meal, excellent service and good atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Food is always good quality and plenty of it.

Booked the Festive Lunch a small hiccup when we arrived was quickly sorted. The food was amazing, One lady needs Gluten Free, her food was served separately to avoid cross contamination. We had 3 courses and all dishes were delicious. The atmosphere was very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The staff worked hard but were very cheerful. I thoroughly recommend the Queens Head and can't wait to return. My friend was especially delighted with the number of Gluten Free puddings on offer. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Usually go after work on a Thursday for a quick drink, it's always a nice atmosphere and very friendly service. On this occasion, we had a bite to eat and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend!!

We were a party of 12 attending a family reunion and only let them know we were coming the evening before (not fair of us!) They were extremely accommodating and couldn't be more friendly. We didn't dine there though the menu looked delicious but sampled a fair amount of the great beverage selection. Thank you to Nicki, Denise and the team. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! Was going to try this place for my birthday on 10th Oct. We arrived as it was just opening . No hello. No smile as we were taken to a table . My friend and I looked at the menu and both agreed it wasn't a place for my birthday lunch.. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend or return..

First time coming here a wonderful welcome, all so friendly and helpful, with a lovely atmosphere and fabulous food, great menu a very good choice of food, we had a mixed grill and sirloin steak, we will definitely stop for food and drink next time we are over in Mold, highly recommended!

We love the friendly atmosphere there, food to die for bar to have a drink at if you want. We have been going for the last 8 year's only missed when COVID was about.. so you can tell how much we like it.

Booked a table for 16 people 2 weeks in advance for Sunday lunch for our dads 60th birthday, having been here several times for family gatherings or as a couple for meals it was our first choice as food and service has always been great.service from the waitress this time was terrible she was quite frankly rude and we were made to feel unwanted the minute we were seated.having just taken our seats same asked us what did we want to order from the Sunday roast menu,I explained we were going to order drinks first and then we would be ready to order ,her reply we have these tables booked out after you! My mum immediately wanted to leave but not wanting to ruin dad’s meal as family had traveled from Manchester we stayed. Food came to the table quickly and disappointing, everyone’s Yorkshire puddings were burnt and hard we had a spoonful of instant mash and for the price small portions , the server was miserable and standoffish and unlike past reservations wasn’t very welcoming towards us , will not be coming back unfortunately everyone in our party wanted to complain but we didn’t for dads sake

Gluten free menu is exceptional. There is more to choose from compared to most places. It was also very tasty. Food came out quickly and the staff were really friendly. The normal menu has a great range of options too, as a picky eater I found there were still lots of options for me and staff were very accommodating with preferences (for example I swapped my type of sausage, and asked for no sauce). The pub was clean and a lovely atmosphere with a dog friendly garden. We also had gluten free apple crumble and custard which was very tasty too.

Today is the second time we have been to the Queens Head with our luncheon club 36 of us. Everyone said it was the best meal we had anywhere. The 3 slices of roast beef were thick and melt in your mouth, plenty of vegetables and gravy, lovely apple crumble. The staff are hard working and very friendly. Recommend it any time.

Had a lovely lunch here on the way back to Prestatyn, lovely pub flowers outside lovely carpark with plenty of parking and outside seating, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were served at the bar with a smile and friendly welcome. Food was out very swiftly, piping hot and really delicious and very reasonably priced, there were some great deals on drinks too. The pub is lovely and charming definitely worth a stop by if passing through, keep up the good work we will be back.

We visit the Queens Head regularly. Last visit was 11th June and I had rump steak and Diane Sauce( which I nearly always have).I have the steak medium (pink no blood) and it was cooked perfect, as always. My friend always has gammon and she said that was very good too. We will continue to visit the Queen’s Head as our local. Nikki and all her staff are very friendly and service is excellent. 😋👍

Fab night again at the Queens head. Service is excellent and always on it. No waiting at the bar even though it was so busy. Glasses cleared from tables quickly. Toilets are always clean and smell nice and the live music is outstanding. Well done guys you hosted a great night 👏

The Queen's Head is great for drinks, but the food is very poor. My mum opted for this venue as it was Mother's Day. I had a small prawn cocktail with very tiny rose marie sauce along with brown bread cut into triangles with a frozen butter portion to start, this was followed by lamb shank with roast potatoes and a small dollop of mash potato floating on the mint gravy. The extra veg was ok, but not very appealing - an extra bowl of mash would of been ideal. The only thing they seem to get right is my waffle and ice-cream. Then the elderly waitress came over and told us, that we would have to leave as they were expecting another reservation in 15 minutes, just as we were finishing our desert and the crazy thing is, she pulled the big screen down for the Wales VS France rugby match - not everyone wants to watch rugby in the dining area, especially if you're trying to encourage people to dine quickly and expect them to leave for the next reservation. We booked in advance online and it advertised a free glass of prosecco upon arrival, which we never received. We were told that it was cash only upon arrival - why couldn't they have mentioned this, whilst booking online? Awful!!! Never again!!!

My first time today heading to the Queens Head for food and I'm honestly so in love! The food is amazing. Huge variety from big meals, light bites and lunch! I got the Peri Peri baguette with chips and it was soooo nice! I could of ate another 😂 One of my friends got the gamon and eggs, which looked delicious! Big portion! And my other friend got a light bites fish and chips and the size was fab! Nice piece of fish too! Amazing quality food for a very reasonable price! Menu has plenty of varieties! Good for everybody. The gent behind the bar was absolutely lovely, and very welcoming! Ever so kind and helpful too. Staff make you comfortable straight away :) never been happier with pub grub before and I will be returning for more! Just gutted we had no room for dessert as we were so full from our mains. Worth every bite and recommend fully! 💛

Came upon this place purely by accident. We were travelling back from Moel Fammau and took a wrong turn. The host/barman/server/convivial owner was both pleasant and a whizz around the pub. The food was both cheap and delicious. This is a family run pub, albeit part of a group chain, but the gentleman behind the bar was an absolute delight. Nothing seemed to be a problem for him (and his attentive wife) and our food was served promptly and in a good, hot condition. It's great to see proper old style landlords, paying attention to the clientèle and keeping the locals topped up with their drink of choice. I'll certainly be recommending this little gem of a pub to my family and friends, when travelling through North Wales, to pop in and enjoy the atmosphere and staff. Hats off to you pal. A delight in a world of rampant commercialism and lack of courtesy towards the customer. Some of us still appreciate the connection and banter between customer and landlord.

From start to end the experience I had was one I won’t forget, been for a long morning walk and came in for a drink. Then decided food was needed and it was the best decision I made all day as it was delicious and served with a smile. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the ladies name who served me but she was a delight and very welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I’ll be back again a lot sooner than last as I’d make the journey just for the hospitality. Thank you everyone from front of house bar and restaurant

I have been to the queens head many of times. I can’t fault any service I have had at the pub. The food is always top class, and good prices. Every member of staff is welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. The Sunday Dinners are amazing, we would never go anywhere else on a Sunday, great value and great home made dinner!

5* truly deserved, all staff are so lovely and a family welcoming atmosphere if you are new or old customers. Food is beautiful and a good pint, Lots of entertainment of a evening. Lovely Xmas Dinner with friends

We didn't book a table and there were 2 parties of around 8 in, we waited for a table (for two) and we're told we must order quickly because they were clearly busy. Ordered an 8oz steak with extra chips (at an extra charge) and the plate was half empty, the steak had the texture of an old boot and the chips were overfried, popped with grease and appeared like they had been sat in a low temperature fryer half the day. I had the southern fried hunters chicken with salad. The flavours went well together, but the chicken breast itself was thin and old, almost like it had been taken off someone's plate who'd left it earlier. A very bleak salad that was swimming in the water it was stored in. We will never be eating here again. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the menu. How anyone can rate this place as good is absolutely beyond me.well overpriced. Don't waste your money! I had to rate this a one to write this review but I'd have given it a zero if I could.

Just outside the main town, Large newly tarred car park. Great beer,great affordable food, lower priced than nearby restaurant prices. Worth booking ahead and Large parties preordering to speed things up but food worth the wait.Plenty of outside seating in the summer. Worth a go.

Me and my family love this pub, mega mixed grill is amazing, always perfectly cooked. Fish and chips is also a family favourite. Great pint great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. We travel from Liverpool at least once a month an here is the only place we go.

We booked a table for 2 we ordered the light bite as we are both in our eighties we don't eat big meals I had the mushrooms they came in what I would call a dogs bowl very hard when trying to cut them they flew everywhere we both had the Hunters Chicken the chips were very crispy not nice, as we are regulars we have noticed the quality of the food is dropping and the customers are getting less

This speaks volumes of how good and popular a place it is . I would go again , and I’ve been several times before .
