We went out today for Sunday lunch with friends and couldn't have asked for a better meal my friends had 1 beef and 1 chicken dinner which I have to say was really nice and plentiful they have 2 size meals large and small I had the beef lasagne with salad coleslaw and chips and it's the best lasagne I have ever had all compliments to the chef we finished off with a strawberry cheesecake which was so delicious. so overall a place that is well worth a visit. the staff are so lovely and polite and our waitress today was cloe she was so bubbly and bright full of smiles she made our time there so relaxed so thankyou for that and enjoy your 18th birthday.

I had purchased an afternoon Tea voucher for my friends 30th. Having went today, I am so disappointed with the experience. Upon calling to book, it was stated she was Vegetarian. However today, when asking for the veggie option we were told they didn't have the veggie options in and we should have requested upon booking which we did. My friend asked if we could have extra sandwiches, but we were told there was no swaps. Considering there wasn't anything to cater for Vegetarians, even though this was stated upon booking I think it's quite disappointing they couldn't add extra sandwiches in replacement for cake. Staff were friendly.

Definitely nicer places to go in the area. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was the smell of grease and fat. The food was ok, nothing special but on the expensive side for what you get. Reminds me of a greasy spoon now which is a shame as it always used to be lovely

Came in for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and Food was lovely on the most part, and most staff were very kind but I noticed a few things that need some attention, to start as soon as we got seated I noticed the plates weren’t cleaned properly and still had residue from previous meals and a glass cup I got given to drink my Coke with was just appalling had stains all over it, and also one of the waitresses had a very rude attitude and not to be too rude but her hygiene didn’t seem the best as her smell was enough to put me off my food, simple hygiene should be a priority when working with or around food. Another thing I noticed was that although the food was very nice there wasn’t much variety in the sandwich fillings and it was all very bland.

My family and I decided to pop in for lunch as we love trying new places and all I can say is wow! My partner had the lasagne and in his words it's one of the best he's had, I myself had the Welsh rarebit which was delightful. The kids absolutely loved the selection of cakes and ended up choosing an absolutely gorgeous lemon drizzle cake, and I had the Victoria sponge which was beautiful. The atmosphere was great and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting the area and I will definitely be returning.

We booked the team rooms on the recommendations from other reviews, but what a MISTAKE that was. Overall the food was okay, nothing special. The poor waitresses are run off their feet, trying to serve everyone as best they could. When we first arrived we our table wasn't set up correctly. We had to request more chairs. Then when our drinks order was taken, it took forever for them to be served. We also ordered two fruitshoots for two of the children with us. Upon our order, we asked if we could have an afternoon tea for two for the children to share between them with two of the children only being 2 years old they barely even touched anything. This was all fine our food was served - 45minutes after we ordered it. However it arrived, it was okay, nothing special, definitely not something I would highly rate it was just okay. The cheese on the savoury afternoon teas was warm, like it had been left on the side and not refrigerated at all. The cheesecake was melting and very soft, spilling onto the savoury parts of the meal. When it came to pay for the bill we had noticed we have been charged 4 adult afternoon tea's for the children. When we had only asked for 2 so they could be split with the portions being so big and the children so small. At this point the manager, said well you could have had children's afternoon tea for them but you didn't ask. This was not meantioned on their menu's nor was it suggested to us at the time of booking nor at the table when we arrived. Due to this the waitress who has served us apologised for the mistake and asked karen for some help with the till. Karen then turned around infant of a restaurant full of customers, that will be coming straight out of your wages. The poor girl burst into tears and ran out of the tea room's all whilst karen stood behind tutting and shaking her head. After our bill being amended, my sisters mother in law went outside to find the young lady who has been brought to tears, only to be told by multiple staff that this is nothing, the way they are treated is awful, they're spoken down to and brought to tears on a regular basis. We honestly felt so sorry for the staff having to work under such horrendous management. We definitely will not be returning at all. And I hope the rest of the staff that have to work under karen go on to find better jobs where managers will show them what good management is and hopefully restore their faith that not all are like who they have to work under currently!

But in our opinion, and experience, the quality of the food was was poor, service was poor and we generally felt rushed and a bit of nuisance. We were on our way home from a week in Beaumaris to Buckinghamshire, having decided to visit Betws-y-Coed on the way. Unfortunately, after our visit, the A5 was closed, so we decided to head back to the A55, it was lunchtime, and having checked Google map saw The Rooms at the Pet Cemetery, were 5 minutes away. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to a table. We decided on Ham, Egg and Chips, Coffee Cake and Tea. The meal was excellent and it was the nicest ham that we have had for a long time, the cake was delicious and the tea was plentiful. The staff were delightful and very helpful, we said that we enjoyed the experience and they said they look forward to seeing us again. We will certainly be back when we are next in the area. Highly recommend.

A disappointing experience. I was looking forward to a lovely lunch, however, I was met with some weird rules!! My elderly mum asked for a sandwich and a side of chips, the waitress looked embarrassed to tell us that we can't share the chips and if I was going to have some of hers, then the manager would want me to order my own. I then made my order of a portion of toast. The waitress returned to say that as it was past 12 pm, I couldn't have toast, but she could do a toasted teacake (both would be in the toaster of the grill..strange). I then noticed that a table that had an all-day breakfast had toast delivered...utter madness! I didn't leave feeling happy, I left feeling annoyed.

Disappointing - Booked afternoon tea for four to celebrate my daughters birthday. Service was great initially. As we were boxing up leftovers we noticed green mould on one of the pieces of cheese. We pointed this out to a waitress. She went to speak to the manager Karen who was stood 6ft away from us. Karen was seen shaking her head, the waitress then carried on her duties. We left it 5 minutes then called over a different waitress & explained the situation. She went off, took the cheese. Came back & said that the manager Karen offered us £2 off the bill for the cheese & said they'd started using a new supplier. We asked to speak to the manager Karen again. The waitress came back & offered us cheese & crackers to take away (last thing we wanted, as we'd already eaten some of the mouldy cheese) We refused this & for a third time asked to speak to the manager Karen. She sent over the dept manager Hazel. She came charging over & said we had to pay the bill. We hadn't once said we weren't paying the bill. She offered us 10% off the bill which my daughter accepted. On her return to the manager, Karen withdrew this offer. We paid in full & left. The whole experience ruined my daughter's birthday. We won't be returning. Would not recommend. Very poor customer service!

We were a small group, sat in a delightful window lit location of The Tea Rooms, which enabled us to continue to enjoy the afternoon winter sunshine. Staff were attentive, caring and discreet, providing an excellent service to us throughout our luncheon. The food was freshly cooked, tasty and enjoyable. We had walked through the beautifully kept gardens before entering The Tea Rooms and had enjoyed the morning sunny weather. Our walk, exploring the memorials and statues of so many cherished, personal pets was thrown into relief with the wonderful commemoration to working animals, who were heroic in their working lives...humbling in the remembrance of them all. Thank you.

Not very welcoming coming in. Had to wait a while to be served ,place wasn't exactly busy only a couple of people in here. Staff seem to be falling over each other not knowing what to do. Only one male working there was the nicest staff member. Food itself, sausage toastie was absolutely awful, was rubbery and tasted plastic. Toast more like bread and not toast. Quite expensive for what it is. Not exactly clear on how to order or how to pay,you just have to somehow get their attention. Myself and my sister just wanted to sit outside so ordered coffees to go, we also fancied some chips, just a snack but were told, we couldn't just buy " sides " we had to order a main meal! My third visit this week as last Saturday we booked for 15 for my mum's funeral wake, I also visited wednesday, they've had a lot of money from us as a family this week but wouldn't serve us just chips!!!!! Staff appeared up-tight and unhappy tbh, lady behind the counter seemed quite abrupt and unwelcoming, completely spoilt our day, beautiful setting, let down by poor service, and above average prices for beverages, staff need training in people skills!!!!

I have over the years been to the Pet cemetery tea rooms many times. I have visited again today and had afternoon tea with a good friend. I have not put a review on for a while but felt I had to as the afternoon tea we had was truly amazing. Better than I remember. You have a choice of sandwiches and what bread. You have 3 enormous cakes each and a scone (plain, cherry or fruit) but there is an option for a savoury one with pork pies, sausage rolls and cheese and biscuits. (That’s next time!!) nice pot of tea or coffee. We asked for a sausage for the dogs as well which was brought out in dog bowl all cut up. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Fantastic value for money in a lovely setting. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone. Just go and find out for yourself.

First visit here today.......lovely food and drinks. Cakes looked so good but we had to take them home as full after the tasty sandwiches. Plenty of room inside with tables on the verandah also. Liked the idea of a picnic hamper to have on the benches by the duck pond. Lots of choices on the menu including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. Booking obviously adviseable for the afternoon teas......traditional and savoury. Asked about group bookings and said yes, as long as we told them the numbers in advance. Definitely recommend here.

Our first visit to the Tea Rooms with family. Well worth a visit very good portions and reasonably priced. An excellent menu. My husband and daughter gave a raving review of the curry the only criticism was my daughter asked could she have half rice half chips. She was told she would have to order a portion of chips which was a little too much. Overall a good experience.

Initially, I thought that it was bizarre going to a pet cemetery for lunch, but it was lovely! The surroundings are stunning, and the food is fabulous and good value for money. The staff are also really helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going again!

Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was delicious! We shared a sweet and savoury high tea (half and half) and the other two had ham,egg and chips and the cheeseburger special, both of which looked mouth watering. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

We were a family of 3. 2 adults and a 3 year old child. We ordered just for the adults because my 3 year old wasn't that hungry. I asked the waitress for an empty plate, she turned around and went to talk to another waitress and they both looked at me strangely and ignored me. 5 minutes passed and they didn't bring the plate. My son's father asked for a dish again and they said they didn't understand and again they turned their backs on us and ignored us. Almost 10 minutes later we insisted on the dish again, one of the waitresses came and told us that she couldn't give us the dish for a 3 YEAR OLD CHILD because he wasn't eating!!! What a ridiculous thing!!! These people don't want to lose a cent, and even such a small child has to pay!!! On top of the horrible sandwiches, supermarket bread without any flavor. I will not return, nor do I recommend it!!

This was our first visit to the tea room after hearing good things about the place. I'd booked a table for 3:30 in advance for a family get together for afternoon tea. Lovely surroundings and building although decor a bit tired. Service was ok during the ordering and receiving our food (a young girl also brought over plates and was very polite). Sandwiches were ok, as was the soup. Cakes were unfortunately not as good, some very dry others past their best. Which I was very surprised by, having heard great things about the cakes here. Unfortunately service took a turn for the worse when an older male waiter abruptly told us that they were closing at 5 and needed to clean up before then, therefore we had to leave (some of the party were still eating). This made us feel very awkward and unwelcome and quite frankly I was left disappointed and embarrassed, having myself suggested we eat at the tea room. We've never had the misfortune to experience such poor service in other similar establishments before. Then there was the matter of an extra drink being on the bill, which we pointed out and the waiter went to correct the bill only for another waiter to come over and argue about this before realising that only 6 drinks were ordered, 5 included within the afternoon tea price and only one additional to be paid on top. We paid the bill, we were then waiting for change, considering they were in a rush for us to leave they were in no rush to return with the change and we were left waiting. We could hear staff saying how they wanted to get home etc, it was now 5pm by this point. Eventually, already fully aware we were no longer welcome we went and asked for our change and left. I'd advise that if staff are scheduled to leave for 5, closing time should be adjusted accordingly and customers made aware of this prior to their visit. All in all, this service left a sour taste, with average at best food. We will not be returning and on this basis can not recommend to others. Shame as the building and surroundings has potential.

Everytime we visit Wales and surrounding areas we struggle to find places that cater for our diet. After doing some research for our recent day out I saw that this was one of the only places locally that offered vegan options. We started our day here and was looking to get a breakfast (the best vegan options). Unfortunately they stopped serving breakfast just as we arrived so had to choose from the lunch menu. My husband had the vegan chilli and I had the hummus sandwich. My husband was very dissappointed with his meal, there was barely any taste of chilli and said it tasted like a homemade pasta sauce. My sandwich cost £8.50 and was literally hummus in some seeded bread with a side salad. The salad was fresh but was freshly washed too and the bread was wet when I ate it. Half way through eating the salad I found bits of cheese which instantly put me off my meal. The weather was nice, we sat outside on the benches, staff were super kind and friendly and it was an unusual setting to enjoy brunch but we left really dissappointed with a bad taste in our mouths.

Its was our Ruby's anniversary on the 5/5/2024 , so we decided to spent time there and have a roast dinner in the cafe. Just brilliant, great service, beautiful setting, food was awesome. Just made a sad day into a happier one, so glad we went, its a 10/10 cafe, didn't have any room left in my stomach for the lovely cakes, save that for our next visit.

Pets are so precious and to have a place like this to meet family and friends and remember our pets over a meal in a place that we might have brought them to be with us because they’re part of our family is so important. On the day that we came to the pet cemetery even though it was rainy cold not very welcoming, as soon as we stepped inside the café there was a feeling of togetherness with all the people that were there. The staff were super positive and and the atmosphere and cleanliness, was spot on. The café has the feeling of times gone by a place where your Nan would love to come but also it’s mixed with the modern the radio playing the chatter people with their pets curled up here and there and an atmosphere of support. The menu in a well presented folder is extensive and there’s something to cater for everybody from high tea with sandwiches to breakfast to main meals to desserts there many pages to cater for many peoples needs the food is well presented piping hot and tasty. I love the fact that the radio is playing in the background is added to the atmosphere and for me atmosphere in a café or a place like this is so so important there’s nothing worse than silence and the construction of the place makes you feel if you may be in a house though a modern house it’s a place where people feel welcomed. There’s plenty of parking it’s easily accessible from the east or west of North Wales for those who lost pets. This is a wonderful place to remember them and to visit them.

My mum comes here a lot and has made good comments so we decided to come when we were in the area. The cemetery is lovely, and the cafe nice and bright. Nice selection of food. We ordered 2 main adult meals, and one with an extra side of chips. We were going to share with our 3 yo son because he won't eat a full child's meal. So we asked for a small plate. Nothing was said by the waitress who went off, but didn't return with a plate. A couple of minutes later we asked again for a small plate. Eventually one of the waitress came over to say that the extra chips isn't a meal so they can't bring a plate! I said that the chips were with one of the main meals, that it son is 3 years old so can we have a plate rather than him eat off the place mat. Begrudgingly they brought one, despite it being "against the rules". I commented that it was a stupid rule and that I was happy to speak to the manager about it. I asked twice to speak to the manager, was advised that they were in the kitchen (we could see into it). She didn't come. So clearly not interested in customer feedback. So all in all a negative experience over some weird, inflexible, "rule". If you're buying food, you should be able to share it with whoever you want. Especially a small child. If it was an unlimited buffet with a fixed price I'd see the rationale. In this case there is none. Really rather pathetic. The food was fine. Nothing exceptional but nice enough. No complaints.

Decent pub, kinda in the middle of a small village. Good drinks and service, the bar keeps were so fun, they made me an alcoholic free shot to have to with my mates.

I can't fault the efforts of the serving staff, they were great. I went here with my partner the other day. His food was really good but it felt like my dish was a bit of an afterthought. I ate the cauliflower curry. I like how this place does vegan options but if feel like if you do them you need to make them count. Curry felt underseasoned and the further I ate the more acidic it tasted, with it actually kindo reminding me of ketchup to an extent. It wasn't really a pleasant experience but I didn't want to say something at the time as my partner was having a good time, but I personally feel like the vegan dishes need a lot of development especially for the price paid.
