Came to the yew tree for the carvery after the reviews on here and Google. When we arrived we noticed it wasn't called the yew tree but something else (something munchies?). Anyway we couldn't see a carvery so just ordered Sunday lunch off the menu. They said we could order a mix of the meats, but they had no turkey so I ordered beef and pork. The meals came and everything was out of a frozen packet, nothing was fresh or home made apart from the cauliflower cheese. The meat was the sliced meat you buy in a packet to put on a sandwich! Gravy very watery too. I'm not fussy and was starving so ate it all, but was very disappointed.

This place is busy beyond belief and for good reason too, prices are good staff are amazing, the food was carvery and was really tasty with plenty of options for types of meat. Drinks are cheap too.

Recientemente tuvimos el almuerzo de domingo. Mesas demasiado cerca. Intentar conseguir muchos.

Another fab carvery lunch at The Yew Tree. Cannot fault the quality or the service. Tender meat, non soggy veg and some extra crackling given to us when we were overheard to say how much we liked it 😀 Pudding was fab too!!good choices, I had the Key Lime Pie and it was yummy!!!

The carvery at Rhudlan Golf Club is North Wales best kept secret & the value for money is incredible. Only wish I lived closer. Love coming here when visiting my Nanna at Prestatyn. Nothing in Wrexham compares to it!! Food is fresh, homecooked, piping hot & tasty. Best roast potatoes going, lovely gravy, stuffing, veg that isn't boiled to death & good quality meat. I dont have a starter but desserts are always good too. Likes of Table Table do a roast that is more expensive & clearly microwaved & went to a local pub this wkend & beef was chewy & not much taste. Keep up the good work Yew Tree at the Rhudlan Golf Club 😃

Visited with my husband and two children. Food was lovely think it would be nice if you could order drinks at the table without having to go to the bar. Really enjoyed the food and will visit again

With two courses at under £10 what's not to like. Forget it being just great value, the quality of the food for a carvery is amazing. It looks homemade and certainly tastes homemade. Good portions and friendly service. I'll be back.

If you want good value food and great service don't miss this place, Julia and the team are the stars of the show, the fish and chips on a Friday and Sunday lunch are both fantastic. You won't be disappointed eating here. Fully booked already for Xmas day, the clubhouse is really welcoming so if you are not a golfer or member don't worry you won't be the only ones visiting just for the food. A 5* place by every measure in the book, get your table booked!

We happened on the Yew tree Restaurant a bit by chance when reading a good review of the establishment on Facebook. It did take a while to figure where exactly the restaurant was in terms of Rhuddlan and Meliden Rd since its the main road through the village between Rhuddlan and Prestatyn and one we travel virtually everyday on the way to and fro work. With a tiny bit more research we realised it was based in Rhuddlan Golf Club and not a seperate building which is why we had trouble finding it. However once found it was well worth the effort to sample the menu. Our first visit was for sunday lunch. My wife has an allergy to rapeseed oil and on inquiring whether they used any in any of the dishes we were informed that she would not be able to have the roast potatoes. This was not a problem and we duly arrived for the Sunday lunch. When we arrived and made ourselves known to staff as the lady with the rapeseed oil allergy we were informed that the chef had prepared a special dish of roast potatoes and that they had also made a special yorkshire pudding which was rapeseed free. The meal was fantastic food and meat quality was excellent and the the service was top notch with nothing too much trouble. The cost was excellent value for money considering portions and the quality with two courses being under £10.00. There could only be a minor criticism and that would be the starters were a little dated in their approach i.e. prawn cocktail, soup and pate etc but in saying this they were more than acceptable. Lots of people and members of the general public would be put off by the fact that the Yew Tree Restaurant is part of the Golf Club and would assume its only open to members of the Golf Club. This couldn't be farther from the truth. The restaurant is open to the public but access is via the golf Club. However you do not need to be a member to use the Restaurant. We have since ate at the restaurant a few times in the evening and for more Sunday lunches. All have been as good as the first experience. The Yew Tree are caterers to the Golf Club and any drinks you required need to purchased through the Golf Club. So will require two bills so to speak which is no big hassle. This is well worth a visit. Do not be put off by the fact that the Yew Tree is part of Rhuddlan Golf Club they will welcome you.

Our first visit to the Yew Tree. The Sunday Carvery ( served 12 - 4pm ) was delicious and could not be faulted in any way. The Golf Club is in a beautiful setting with lovely views from the restaurant. All the staff were pleasant and very obliging. At £7.95 this is fabulous value. Highly recommended. Our next visit will be for the ' pie' day or the ' chippy lunch' both of which look equally appetising. Well done Yew Tree.

Our party of four ate at the new Yew Tree Restaurant on its inaugural Sunday carvery. Oh the joy's of a proper Sunday Lunch, home cooked fayre .A good selection of roasted meats, golden brown roasties, tender veg etc, all accompanied by home made gravy (mustard or mint sauce anyone!)Lush views over the hills left us with a warm glow as a good honest "like grandma used to make" Sunday Lunches are getting harder to find.As it was a friendly ambience we decided to return the following Friday eve, as they had advertised a Fish n' Chips Friday...It was just as good!!

I visit here quite regular. They do so many choices and it's so tasty. Made to tour choice and they are a very reasonable price. Would never go to another sandwich bar. My personal favourite is Chinese chicken.

It is the first time I entered this cafe for over 60 years. Walking into my past. A spotlessly clean and sharp evocation of what an ice cream parlour was in the 1950’s - beautiful. The service was friendly and charming. Coffee with frothed milk - not a modern affectation. Where else can you get a cup of comfort in such historic surroundings for £1.28? I am sure the ice cream would have been as good as I remembered. An absolute gem and Rhyl should celebrate it.
