I visited yesterday with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was years since I’d been and the level of service was as good as I remembered. The students and lecturers were attentive, polite and friendly. Most of the food was excellent, there were just a couple of little things not right, such as the pigs in blankets were undercooked. Overall a good experience.

Have been to the Academy Restaurant a couple of times now as part of my pamper day. The food produced by the students was delightful. The presentation of the food was very appealing

An outstandingly good meal, served by very helpful and knowledgeable students, nothing was too much trouble. The meal was beautifully presented and tasted delicious, l would definitely recommend this place. But evening meals only on a Thursday, lunches: weekdays during termtime only, but well worth a visit. Parking can be a bit tricky at lunch time, but worth the effort!

Knowing that the restaurant is run by students, I had allowed extra time for a lunchtime meeting thinking that the service would be slow....I was very much mistaken. We were seated straight away. Drinks were offered and brought to the table, the menu was varied with a range of options to suit all palettes and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed good food, good service and great value. I enjoyed speaking to the students and finding our more about their aspirations and studied. If you have not tried this place out yet....make a date to visit before Christmas!

We have been going to the restaurant over many years.Produce is always of excellent quality and meals are produced under the supervision of the College tutors and sometimes local guest Chefs. It is good to support these catering students who are experiencing at first hand, serving food to paying customers. It can be an excellent evening meal eaten in comfortable surroundings and helping the students in real work experience. Menus are varied sometimes themed but always to a high standard Parisienne Night was a delight.

The training restaurant offers a fine dining experience. It develops future chefs and front house professionals in the Catering College. Thursday evenings present an opportunity for the students to present a meal under the guidance of their tutors and sometimes guest chefs from established restaurants in West Wales. Lunches are also available Monday to Friday. We have visited on many occasions and invited friends to join us. Themed evenings include Brittany to Provence, Thai delights, Indian fusion, Italian and Mediterranean inspired dishes. Cost around £17.95. The meals are prepared and presented in a very professional manner. It is great value, great atmosphere and a great opportunity for the students to meet the public and serve them in a safe environment. It is remember a training environment and maybe a student will be instructed on the art of service during your meal. If you have a large group dining you may be asked to ensure all the choices on the menu are selected amongst the party. The restaurant has a high standard and offers a dining experience to be commended. We wish the students every success and we look forward to many more evenings of excellent dining with you next year. Booking is essential. See their web site for information.

Delicious fine dining experience for a fraction of the cost of a mainstream restaurant. The food is always well presented, fresh and served with care at the table by the students. Obviously this is a learning environment, so things can be a little slower than you may be used too, but it will always be worth it! I haven't eaten here in the evening, only at lunchtime 12-1:15pm during term times. It well worth a visit. Phone ahead if you want to book, but Ihave never needed to.

The Academy Restaurant at Pembrokeshire College is a tremendous place to eat. Sittings are at 6.00pm in the evenings, and the meals are prepared and presented by students under supervision. The quality of both would be hard to beat. The food is extremely well prepared and attractively presented, whilst the waiting staff are extremely attentive and careful. Everything is done as it would be in a high class restaurant. The beauty is that the value is unbeatable.

We regularly have lunch in the Academy restaurant and have to say that this is the best value meal in the area, with a varied cuisine that would compare favourably with London restaurants. For around £8 each, we have 3 course meal with coffee after. Brilliant value. The Academy is run by students, but the service is good and quick. The restaurant is comfortable and relaxing. Well recommended!

This restaurant, situated within Pembrokeshire College, is excellent. The students cook and serve - under supervision - and the standard of both is top class. There is only one sitting - around 6.30pm, but the meals are not rushed. You will not find better value anywhere, and you will be impressed by the quality of the service - silver service and extremely well done. Just remember that these are teenagers being trained, and they make a few minor mistakes, and you will not be disappointed. The wine menu is fairly limited, but good value and beers very limited, but the range of other drinks is quite comprehensive. The menu varies weekly, with a choice of 2 starters, three mains and a couple of desserts, followed by coffee, which comes as a fixed price menu, the price varying with the menu. there is always a vegetarian option, and a phone call will ensure that there si also a fish dish. S0, go give it a try - you will not regret it, I promise you.

We had never visited the restaurant at Pembrokeshire college, but had heard good things so gave it a try last night - you MUST book though. It was an Indian themed night with a choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts. My husband and I deliberately chose different items so that we could maximise our taste experience and we were so glad we did! Pre-dinner poppadoms with chutneys, then our starters of Prawn Puree (?) and Lamb kebabs - piping hot, fresh and delicious. Then chicken tikka (for him) and lamb rogan josh (for me) -blew us away - makes the local takeway pale by comparison accompanied by gorgeous butter rice and stewed lentils, homemade naan and chapatis (and a gluten-free bread roll for me - nice touch!). Desserts to die for - pistachio ice-cream (me) and orange & cardamom souffle (him). All of this is cooked and served (silver service) by the college catering students (a mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years) - all very professional, friendly and polite. They were all a real credit to their tutor, Rose, who kept a keen eye on them throughout the evening offering words of advice and guidance where needed. If this is a true indication of our chefs and front of house staff of the future, then I can see Pembrokeshire becoming THE place to eat!! Excellent evening.

Something different - fine dining within a college. This proper restaurant enables those on a Catering/Hospitality Course to hone their skills by cooking for, and serving real customers. You can only book a table for Thursday Evenings or Wednesday & Friday lunchtimes and the menu is somewhat restricted; however, what is available is first class. We visited on St David's Day and a special menu existed with that in mind. Cocktails were available to start and a 3-course Table d'Hote with this, a glass of wine, Coffee and Welsh Cakes cost £25 including service. If our meal was anything to go by, the quality is excellent and the standard of service was guaranteed by the course tutor being present to monitor performance. Better than many ordinary restaurants. You must book, but don't let that deter you. You will enjoy your visit.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.
