The best restaurants in Wales

Chanced upon this place totally by accident. Cold day started to rain and saw a coffee shop to shelter in. Oh my this was a happy accident. Had soup (totally yummy) which came with amazing cheese on toast. Never tasted such a basic dish done so well. It was awesome, wish I could make it taste like this at home. Coffee was absolutely delicious - and I'm seriously picky with coffee. So friendly, really comfy vibe with tables with chairs and also sofas and lots of cushions. We didnt want to leave. Great prices too. What a gem.

La comida era preciosa, excepto que no era lo que pedimos. Cuando pedimos que se calentaran nuestros platos “fríos”, el gerente dijo “¿cómo puedo hacerlo cuando el horno está apagado?”. Cuando mencionamos que nos habían dado el filete equivocado discutió con nosotros que era el correcto... estilo de torres defectuosas. La música de los 80 era buena. El restaurante estaba muy frío, ya que la puerta estaba abierta todo el tiempo. El servicio al cliente fue terrible.

Nice spot for a coffee. Staff were pleasant. Unfortunately my flat white was the worst attempt at it that I have ever been served and was nothing like a real flat white. A cappuccino was also poor. We bought scones but they fell to bits in our hands as we tried to eat them. Outside tables were dirty and ours had the remains of chocolate cake smeared on the bbq table

best fish and chips I've had in a long time ... The batter was amazing ... Would highly recommend :-) Very friendly staff cant wait to there again on our way home

Another wonderful meal & evening at the Buck, lovely fresh food, service amazing, nothing too much trouble and lots of different gins to accompany our meal. Would highly recommend to couples, families or anyone who wants high quality food and drink at a fair price!

Lovely place, lovely view. Superb food with personable service. All the main courses we had were perfectly cooked and presented. The liquorice cherry pavlova devine. Would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely brilliant, no complaints at all will definitely go again. Service good,nice and clean .I had the rheidol breakfast again the wife had a bacon mushroom and cheese roll and chips excellent

Wow , what a fabulous brekkie had here today . As a local , then I hadn’t gone here for a while , even though I had always had good experiences . Tried it again today and was amazed at the quality of the produce. Thickly cut tasty bacon and gorgeous bread for the toast .Perfect eggs, yum yum . Absolutely beautiful fresh coffee and all at a very reasonable price . I will certainly be eating here again soon It’s now 6pm and I’m still too full for dinner !!!!!!!!

Excellent food and staff. Quick service and knowledge. Service is quick and you can pop in pub whilst waiting. A firm favourite with everyone

Went for the first time today and it won't be the last time, very impressed with the food it was delicious and the place is very clean top of my list now.

We have tried calling to book with voucher I had from GROUPON. Called over 3 week period. They did not respond to our messages and were obviously to busy to answer the phone.......What do they want us to do to redeem the voucher? Perhaps they need to get an up to date system that customers can book on line, we do for all our other Afternoon Teas????

Always a fantastic night at the square! Monthly quiz and karaoke nights are such fun! Food is filling, tasty and well priced. Look forward to our next family night there!

I have been twice in two weeks, we went for evening meal and was blown away with the quality of food quantity is really big and I had small eater. The price was really red noble. Decided to re book for Sunday lunch and it was amazing, did not need to add any salt or pepper to the food as the taste was perfect. Would highly recommend

As always Neil and staff provide traditional take away chippie food to excellent quality. They haven't opened up their sitting place since covid but however that has not affected their what you get over the counter. Always calm in here when we are over from Sweden visiting family. Large portions freshly cooked so sometimes there is a wait especially for cod which is fine as it was so crispy batter. Well done for keepisuch high standards.
