We stayed overnight with our two Labradors, in our campervan, for FREE at this lovely pubs carpark which is also dog friendly. As long as you have a meal or drinks (out of respect for parking overnight for free) then no charge to stay!!! The landlady Karen & staff and locals were all lovely people, really friendly. What a welcome!!! We had home cooked food which was wonderful. There's a huge car park at the back of the pub and an ideal grass area behind the car park with fields, perfect for the dogs. The pub is in caldicott town centre and even has an Aldi!!! Everything you need!!! We will certainly be staying overnight again!!! Highly recommend this wonderful pub!! We will definitely be returning!!

Recently moved to Caldicot, decided to call in as this was local to us. Friendly staff, we had the curry & sandwich. Both well presented and both reasonably priced. Seemed to be good atmosphere between clients, regulars and staff, this always makes a difference in quality.

Booked for a Carvery no Carvery had a roast not the best .....place needs refurbishment...dirty grubby ....two lovely staff serving .....never again

Had a wonder time at the measure inn tonight. the food was to die for ! So tasty. Unbelievable how much was there and all so nice. Loads of vegetarian options available also. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Eat as much as you like for £9.95. I’ll be going again that’s for sure 👍

Loved going here but the place is becoming a drug den... such a shame. Bar staff are lovely but that’s about it ... landlord really needs to get hold of this

Absolutely loved the food, I took my grandchildren who are all fussy eaters and they cleared their plates fantastic service all freshly cooked and tasted beautiful we were all very impressed

We came to the good measure on the 26th of April for my friend's birthday, and apart from one part of the meal, we wish we hadn't bothered. I myself ordered a mixed grill, instead what I got what was basically a plate of very heavily salted meat. Our party had to ask twice for cutlery as it did not arrive with our meals. The lady I asked for the cutlery just disappeared and after 10 minutes of waiting I ended up asking another member of staff. The timings of the kitchen were off, as I had nearly finished my meal by the time my wife's arrived. My wife's meal turned out to be a very heavily salted chicken burger, she did not finish it. However the steak on my mixed grill was perfect. I'm sorry but things have to improve

The Sunday carvery at The Measure is delicious with a choice of three meats, Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes, stuffing and a selection of fresh vegetables for an amazing £4.95. We even had a takeaway carvery for my sister. They also offer a selection of delicious desserts for £2.95. The chocolate fudge cake was very nice and the apple crumble with custard. A brilliant service from Rob and team. Well done guys excellent carvery which is fantastic value for money.

Booked for dinner which is carvery and what value for money a choice of three meat and a variety of veg, very friendly service, the food was tasty and for £4.99 it was an absolute bargain will defiantly visit again thanks rob

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us for our wedding. Each of our guests commented on the staff being helpful and how amazing the food was. We had the wedding breakfast there and the evening at The Measure. The place was beautifully decorated. We highly recommend using this venue for a wedding. We only had 40 guests and it was perfect! A big thank you to everyone at The Measure.

We were lucky enough to win a meal for two at the Measure Inn in the local Help For Dogs charity raffle. The staff were great, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was great. Basic pub food cooked to a great standard and plenty of it, just what we wanted. Thank you to everyone who made our visit so enjoyable. Its great to know you support local charities in this way too. We'll definitely be back!

Had lunch there with my daughter and then takeaway lunches for my in-laws. This has to be without a doubt the best value for money Sunday lunch going. Only issue for us is the dining facilities more resemble a down market cafe. However this should not distract from the excellent food and attentive & mannered staff.

Had my wedding here and was not disappointed with the food or service. I Have also been with my partner and 6 children a few times for food and will be going back again. With 6 children its not easy finding something for everyone but my children love it here. Food is great and the service and staff are amazing.. My number 1 place to go for food.

Had a wounderfull 4th party for my daughter Rob took all the stress away with sorting every thing out from food to disco to entertainment the back room is a great size and he decorated it to a high standard we had a great family experience And have been back several times since

the food was rubbish and beer tasted awful. Barman with glasses kept staring at me too, very uncomfortable indeed.

Recently attended a family wake here's organised but my wife.Rob could not have been more understanding and friendly throughout the process which was much appreciated.The spread was more than adequate, had an extensive range of buffet snacks and represented good value for money as do the bar prices in general.There is a large function room and back lounge with bar as well as the main bar / pool table area along with a front, paved beer garden (rear one still needs some work).Obviously the team there are working hard to drive the pub forwards, having taken over the running last year.Would recommend.

Just come back from the measure, whilst it is undergoing building renovations the service, atmosphere and food were absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend this pub/restuarant.

Staff friendly and food OK and hot but as it was so cold in the pub the food went cold quickly. It was so cold inside that neither of us took our coats off.

Been here a few times since food started and love it so family friendly the staff go the extra mile would 100% recommend this place

I have held a number of parties here (a baby shower in October and a 30th birthday party in January to a family meal just before Christmas).

Had a fantastic experience here at the pub the lovely landlord by the name of Rob was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, Saturday night we visited again as they had live entertainment who was fantastic, we will definitely be coming back thanks Rob and staff

Just paid a visit to the pub passing before work, saw the food sign and popped in, and so glad I did, I had a cooked breakfast and my friend wanted a breakfast panini, it was cooked to a very high standard no grease and piping hot, compliments to the Landlord, Staff & chef

Popped into this pub on the way home for a quick beer and ended staying for dinner. Prices are very reasonable and the food was tasty and generous portions. Staff were friendly and very efficient and the atmosphere was really nice

I popped into see Rob after working in Rogiet. I tried the Mexican burger and it was very tasty. Chips were great too. Food highly recommended

Great drink offers. 5 star friendly local pub. a credit to Caldicot.
