Casa Bianca in Monmouthshire

A popular Italian restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine in the centre of town. We were here for dinner and had an enjoyable meal. The better half had lasagne and I had a rissotto . Both were very good and well presented. The service was friendly and timely.

Don’t get how this restaurant is ranked so high. Take my advice and don’t waste your time.

We had a really enjoyable family lunch at Casa Bianca. Will definitely return.

We are not satisfied, the pizza was a lot of dough and little toppings, we will not choose this restaurant again

Tables very close to each other

Whilst this is usually a very good restaurant and their pasta dishes are excellent we had the sea bass and salad which was quite poor. It should have been served with capers and pine nuts but these were absent and furthermore despite no mention of any dressing on the menu both the salad and fish was swamped in a chilli vinaigrette. Also it says it is dusted with semolina flour which suggests it will have a light crispiness. Perhaps it did before the unmentioned dressing was added. Please let the description on the menu accurately reflect what's being served.

Food was beautiful, as always. Server got our food order wrong and was told to keep the starter (which we didn’t order) and she’d bring us the correct one too. Came to the bill and she charged us for all three starters, had to chase her to change it.

Busy and bustling downstairs but we were seated upstairs which lacked atmosphere. The main and dessert were fantastic but the starter didn’t taste fresh. Overall service was good, staff very friendly.

This is around the third time that we have had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere within is cosy and very calming. Most important of all is the food. It’s authentic and fresh. I have nothing but praise for Casa Bianca. Best place in town.

Called in on a whim for lunch as we were visiting the area and they had a table free. The place was busy but it wasn't loud. Staff were quick to serve and there was a huge choice on the menu. Food and drinks were brought out quickly and was delicious. Had a bit of a wait to get the bill, but understood as the 2 waiting staff were busy. Place is a little dated decor-wise, but other than that really glad we tried it.

A beautifully presented restaurant with great staff and the food was better than I hoped. I had the calamari starter and seafood risotto and couldn’t have been happier with my choices

Really lovely place, staff lovely and good food, only one complaint was it was all really fast, out within hour 20 minutes would of liked the evening to of been at a more relaxed pace

The food is quite tasty, but the presentation and service could be better. Lasagna was brought to us in a very hot dish, just out of the oven and they didn't warn me that the dish was very hot, I got burned, and there were also children sitting next to me. The waiters did not remove empty plates and bottles from the table.

Long wait for meals. Also starters came with main course. Food was not as nice as previous visits.

Food was completely average at best, wasn't bad but sadly not good enough for us to return. The service also felt very 'transactional', and it was clear the girs just wanted to be anywhere else but there. Not even a hello, introduction, specials, checking on us, or worse - a smile! Sadly, we will not be returning.

We visited on a busy night, so service was a little slow. That said, the service was friendly and efficient. The food (all 3 courses) was delicious, and the Tomahawk Steak was particularly good. I would like to see a greater selection of wines and draft beer, rather than small bottles, but what we had was ok.

Excellent food fabulous service. Found it a little cramped. I understand that you need to get as many tables in as you can but we were too close to neighbouring table for comfort. I’m sure the chap next to me felt I was invading his personal space

We've been wanting to try this place for a very long time. But life kept getting in the way. So we finally booked for a Sunday afternoon and it did not disappoint at all. Absolutely outstanding both service and food. Highly recommend Casa Bianca.

All the food we had was lovely, we had the fish sharing platter to start, rustica pizza, spaghetti de pesce and garlic cheese bread and everything was delicious. Thank you.

The venue is beautiful and makes impression from a door step. The design of the restaurant is at top in every detail but isn’t it just a cover of many neglects. We went out for a birthday meal. We had a lovely service provided young waiter. However I cannot cover my disappointment with food. Starter which was sharing started of seafood was great and nothing to complain here. However my main course which was seabass ravioli was very dry. The fish was just putted inside with spices only. Sauce was nice although I think too complex for such simple dish. Then desert came - Tiramisu which was biggest disapointment. First of all it came as a cake…. Tiramisu is not a cake and I would be ok with that if was not the fact that Casa Bianca is Italian restaurant. The cream had no Mascarpone which is main ingridient of dessert (at least it did not feel it has one)! Others ordered cannoli which was good (but not crispy as it supposed to be). My boyfriends seabass with prawns and salad was dry as well. Also a lot of thing on the menu are „britisized” - most of meat meals sound more like pub menu. After all dinner was a bit costy and I do not think it was worth that price. I think Casa Bianca relays on the opinion from the past and lost a bit of taste and authenticity.

25th birthday meal for three adults. A quiet tucked in the corner table was very pleasant and the service was excellent as was the food. For three people there was ample food and well priced in these ridiculously expensive times. We all decided that we will return. Surely that's the best review any restaurant would like!

Really good food and service, only downside is that I did request a window seat as it was an anniversary, I also booked many weeks in advance, but we couldn't have that, however this is pretty minor stuff and the whole experience was very enjoyable, we have been before and we will be back

We live in Abergavenny, and have visited here a few times before but not for a year or so. We were fitted in without a booking by a lovely man, the decor was nice, and the staff friendly. The food however let this place down, both mine and my husbands food was cold when it arrived, quite obvious that it was all pre prepared and was warmed up in the microwave before serving. They took the food back and brought it back out, it had been put in the microwave and was inedible. Even though he took the one meal off the bill, it was still £85 for 2 children’s meals and 2 adults meals that were quite frankly awful. Won’t be returning again unfortunately.

Had a wonderful experience at Casa Bianca today. Pre-booked as a family for our grandmother's birthday and asked for a nice table by the window. We had the perfect table with a good view outside, service was amazing by Anita who provided lovely conversation and attentiveness. The food was incredible! (Would recommend the lamb shank) Had a complimentary drink for the birthday girl which was a lovely surprise. Thank-you for making her day extra special!

We enjoyed great food I’m a great atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive and friendly.

Nice meal, couldn’t fault the food all well cooked and arrived hot. Was fairly expensive but satisfied and left full. Good service, staff happy to box leftovers to takeaway. Was seated downstairs which felt cramped and the seating area itself was quite uncomfortable but nice atmosphere overall.

Another amazing meal and outstanding service!!

The young staff who did meet and greet were courteous and attentive as were the two waitresses who served us. Lunch was full of flavour and the ingredients were really fresh. The presentation was spot on. What put the icing on the cake was the main course remained hot until the last mouthful. Delicious.

Brilliant staff and wonderful food. Cannot wait to go back for more, wonderful decor and ambience. Abergavenny has a little gem here, usually go for Indian but this throws a spanner in the works.

I had a lunch booking here with friends today and had a great experience in what felt like a family-run restaurant. We received a warm welcome, enjoyed the lovely surroundings and had a fantastic lunch. There's so much choice on the menu and our vegan and gluten-free dietary requirements were well catered for. I'll be back! :)

Booked for valentines in early January and there was no mention of a set menu. Upon arrival we queried whether we could order off the normal menu which was declined, no bother we had our 3 courses which was lovely it must be said but when the table next to us sat down they asked the same question and were able to order of the normal menu which was disappointing. Tables are jammed in to make the most of the space as apposed to provide a nicer dining experience and when we asked for a water a £3.50 bottle was brought over without the waiter clarifying whether it was a jug of tap water for the table. Probably wouldn’t return

Number 1 restaurant in Abergavenny.

Decided to try this restaurant as a last minute decision. Was not disappointed. Lovely little restaurant and the food was very very good indeed. Excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. The Agnello (shank) was first class. Will definitely return without the car and enjoy the impressive wine list.

First Time visiting here and I’ll definitely be returning, food and service is absolutely amazing! Just had food at casa Bianca and I can honestly say I haven’t enjoyed food that amazing in a long time! Every mouth full was just so full of flavour and just absolutely amazing with every bite! My partner ordered the 20oz steak tomahawk and it was just cooked to absolute perfection with ample amount of chips and a delicious side salad! I am gf and struggle to find restaurants to accommodate, but I have never been so spoilt for choice, being able to go to casa Bianca tonight and be able to choose pasta dishes, pizza etc was just so exciting and just cooked beautifully, I often feel un included eating out, but tonight was the first time I felt like being gf wasn’t a problem because of how many options there were! Fast service aswell! Soon after having our delicious starter are mains were not far behind! Alfred’s service tonight was impeccable, very accommodating, polite and friendly! Honestly can’t wait to tell family and friends to visit here because they really do deserve the recognition for such wonderful food and service! Thankyou so much!

3 is a bit harsh for the food, 4 a little generous. All was fine and the service was lovely.

Yet another first class dining experience at this lovely restaurant. Nice comfortable ambience , Attentive service , extensive menu and Great quality food , best ribeye ever. What more could you ask for .

Excellent food , service, atmosphere

Lukewarm welcome, lukewarm food. No idea where the great reviews come from! Starters of prawns and calamari were average but under-seasoned and not hot enough. Been sat around? Overdressed salad. Pizza and calzone both undercooked, raw doughy texture and taste. Service was OK but disinterested. We were looking forward to a Saturday evening out in a traditional Italian restaurant but left very underwhelmed. Shame. £80 included 1 glass wine and a 0% lager. Cannot recommend, sorry Casa Blanca.

What a lovely evening we had. The food was absolutely wonderful. Dishes tasted and looked incredible. All staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! We will definitely be returning!

For what its worth. We live local and love this restaurant and always recommend Casa Bianca to others. Unfortunately today 25th January 2024, when I took my wife (spontaneously) for lunch at her favourite restaurant in Abergavenny for St Dwynwen's Day (Wales Valentines Day) the environment was too cold to eat/drink/be romantic. Sadly we walked out. Not only feeling cold when we walked in, seeing the other tables around us prior to us ordering a drink, that the other tables were eating their meals still had their coats on which put us off and sadly we had to walk out. No fault on the waitresses whom were very pleasant and professional that were going to serve us but the environment was just too cold for us, especially on a romantic day like St Dwumwen's Day. Looking forward to seeing you all again in the summer. xxx

Had a meal today with my mother and we enjoyed every bit of it. We started with a shared platter which was beautiful then followed by a main each which we shared. Delicious food.

Dissapointing, when this place opened it was amazing and so so good and one of my fave restaurants after having a shocking meal here last August we thought we would return last night! Unfortunately think this restaurant has been a bit neglected since the other two places have opened, definetly not the same as it use to be!

It was a little pricey, but the food was good. Tables were a bit too close together for my liking.

Amazing food. Got excited and bought more than we could eat so took it home. Staff were lovely. Atmosphere was brilliant too. Saw a table magician walk round entertain the more lubricated patrons 🤣

Delicious! I rarely give a 5, and I wondered if the sauce could have had slightly more flavour of wine or garlic, but perhaps that's something you can ask for when ordering.

Wow! Delicious food, gorgeous setting and our waiter, Mohammed, was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we relaxed and enjoyed celebrating my husband's 50th birthday, so much so, we'll be returning to celebrate my 50th in Feb! My only concern is trying to find out how long before you open a restaurant in Brecon - make it soon please x

The Casa Bianca was recommended to us and we really enjoyed our meal there. The atmosphere was cordial and the food was great. It was served with a smile and quite quickly. We would highly recommend to others.

We’ve been to Abergavenny loads of times and seen Casa Bianca, but we’ve never been inside for food. However as we were staying in the town, we thought we’d give it a go, given the mainly good reviews on here and we were not disappointed....

Popped in for a quick bite. Service was fine and warm inside. But the lasagna was disappointingly small for the price - just shy of £14 for 2"x 2", but was alright.

magnificent restaurant delicious food we went to eat for lunch with my family...we ordered chicken with pork fillet mud and we must say that the roast potatoes were really delicious accompanying our food...the mini pizzas for the children were really very good we recommend this...

Starters were fine but each of our four main dishes had problems. Wrong cuts of steak cooked incorrectly, Diane sauce was terrible. Pork medallions were lovely but the accompanying roast potatoes were raw and inedible. They did try to correct the problems but it meant...

Food was very nice...party of 4...2 had ribeye steaks (very tasty, medium rare), 1 risotto with chicken and mushrooms (delicious), 1 pasta with veggies. Service was a little slow. Place felt a bit cramped, not much room between the tables.
