Dorothy's Tearoom in Wrexham

We have tried calling to book with voucher I had from GROUPON. Called over 3 week period. They did not respond to our messages and were obviously to busy to answer the phone.......What do they want us to do to redeem the voucher? Perhaps they need to get an up to date system that customers can book on line, we do for all our other Afternoon Teas????

They make a lovely breakfast, Staff are lovely, Sometimes you have to wait as they have lots of takeaway orders. And they make the best birthday cakes and very reasonable price.

Had the most lovely afternoon tea here today. Wow everything was lovely. Freshly made sandwiches egg, cheese and onion, tuna and ham. The cakes, biscuits and scones were delicious and all hand made and bottomless tea and coffee. Went having bought a groupon voucher and I am so pleased we did. Lovely cafe which deserves support

We called in on a Saturday and had a luxury afternoon tea and it was luxury. From the outside Dorothy’s looks like any small café on a high street, inside is cosy in size but full of warmth from the friendly staff. The afternoon tea was exceptional and one of the best we have had. Plenty of mixed sandwiches and cakes, so much in fact that we had to take most of the cakes home with us. We would give the staff and afternoon tea 10 out of 10 and will certainly be returning.

The Afternoon Tea for two and service was fantastic. Everything was made fresh for you. In the end we had to take some of it home with us as we were both full.

I booked an afternoon tea for my husband and I. I explained that my husband has anxiety and the staff were very supportive and offered us a quieter space. The afternoon tea was beautiful with a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes. The cream scones were delicious. It was very generous so we ended up taking a tray of cakes home for later. We will be going back. The all day breakfast we saw looked good and I saw Welsh rarebit on the menu which sounded tasty. What a lovely little place with attentive and kind staff.

Fabulous afternoon tea for my dads 60th birthday. The sandwiches were made fresh when we arrived and there was so much variety in cakes we were spoilt for choice! The staff are so friendly and could not do anymore to look after us. A lovely family run tea room. Thanks so much for making the special occasion perfect.

Booked last minute to go for afternoon tea. Plenty of choice, lovely home made cakes. Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be going back there. 10/10 thank you.

What a lovely Groupon afternoon tea - the cafe has a really homely and cosy feel to it and everyone couldn’t have been nicer. The effort that they went to so as to accommodate allergies including vegan requirements was second to none. One of our party was running late and couldn’t join us and they packed up a gorgeous goody bag for them. We will be back and can’t wait to try the Bid D breakfast - brilliant that they offer a veggie version too!

Awful, expensive, smelly greasy spoon cafe. Food portions are very small... on mismatching crockery. Cutlery dirty plus very cheap nasty napkins!!! Don’t bother!!!!

Great service. Warm and friendly staff. Brilliant place to have a catch up with good food too, or just catch up over a cuppa

I went here for a Groupon afternoon tea for a friends birthday. It couldn’t have been better, Great food, unlimited tea/coffe and the staff were so friendly, even the owner came across to say hello. We’ll definitely be back as the cooked breakfasts looked delicious 😋

Called for coffee, decaf, weak, half shot, unfortunately it was far too strong. Staff (v nice) kindly made me another coffee, ordinary latte. Mmmm. This tea room has v good reviews for food, afternoon tea etc & I can't comment on the food; no choice of cakes when I asked. It's on busy main road, parking is an issue, but no problem for local footfall. I was disappointed with my experience.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Freshly made sandwiches and 100% home made cakes, scones and bisuits, the bara brith was amazing. As much fresh tea and coffee we could drink. All of this served by the friendly, attentive staff, definitely recommend this place.

This particular cafė has a warm and homely feel to it. The food quality is great and the price is fantastic. We will be returning, thanks.

Very pleasant local café serving a good range of snacks/light meals and superb coffee. The décor is bright and clean with "reclaimed" furniture. Staff were helpful and efficient and really friendly. Worth a visit.

Today was our first visit to Dorothy's Tearoom in Johnstown. Lovely traditional tea rooms with friendly staff who offer a warm welcome. The sandwiches were fresh with a good mixture, the coronation chicken was particulately good. Nice selection of cakes and cream scones. Lots of tea and coffee too. Worth another visit. The menu looked very tempting

Our table was reserved and hot drinks offered as we arrived.Orders taken and arrived on a pretty stand with a good choice of fillings.Scrumptious.After more top up drinks we had the cake stand to work our way thro,from scones with jam and cream to coffee cake,bara brith,gateux,mini eclairs and custard slices and the new to the menu shortbread.All were homemade and delicious and all leftovers could be taken home.Despite only two staff and other customers we were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble.

Really nice little café; food is served quickly, reasonably priced and tasty! I went in just as they were closing recently; I got loads of extras for no extra cost too! Nice customer service, as most places wouldn’t think to do this!

i go 3 times a week, with my friends , love the breakfast and the cakes, have had afternoon tea several times , and it is to die for , good on ya ladys , x

We both had an all day breakfast which was beautiful and came with tea and coffee. This is a lovely cafe with great staff and real value for money. Will definitely be going back.

Called in for coffee and cake on a cold day, it was lovely and warm, lovely cake and a very welcoming place.

On a recent Thursday mid morning, Hubby and I decided to have brunch here. It is situated on the main road - no parking - but we managed to park down a nearby side street. It was warm and welcoming inside. There were 2 eating areas. The friendly waitress took our order of 2 large cooked breakfasts. A large pot of tea was served straight away and the meals soon followed.

I finally visited with my son, ( my mum is there every week with him ). Staff recognised him straight away and made a lovely strawberry-milkshake which lasted 2 minutes!! Tea and fresh scones lovely! We even took a cupcake home for after tea! It has great facilities for babies / toddlers.

Dorothy's is a lovely friendly place. The staff are always happy and helpful. I usually go every Friday with some friends for lunch a chat and we take our craft stuff with use xxx

Our group of 5 had tea, coffee, sandwiches, sausage rolls and bara brith. Everything was delicious. The staff were wonderful and the service excellent.

I Like This Place Because it is Inviting from the Outside and Welcoming on the inside. Very Clean and tidy. Food is Spot On As is the Service . Luuurverrly Latte Would Recommend this Cafe

Visit this place on a regular basis food is fantastic very good value for money and homemade cakes are beautiful so if you fancy breakfast dinner or tea and are in the area I highly recommend dorothys
