Absolutely amazing restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly and I can't give enough praise to the waiter who served us! He was so friendly and welcoming! Food was absolutely delicious! I had the lamb shank which was tender and my partner had the chicken pasta which was succulent and the pasta was rich and tasty! Really nice portion sizes and price was extremely reasonable! Would highly recommend anyone to go! You won't be disappointed! Will definitely be coming back! 🙂
Marvellous Veggie breakfast, with amazing (home made, I think) Glamorgan Sausage.
Not to be missed. Great service, great value. All round recommended. Fab place. And Staff lovely, as you would expect from Cardiff people. (I live in Manchester!!)
The food at The Forest Arms is exquisite; so tasty and fresh, great Sunday lunch. Always excellent efficient and friendly service- this is the best Sunday lunch we have ever experienced and only 30 mins away, but we would drive further!
Thank you so much for such wonderful lunches and we will always be back.
We visited this restaurant couple of years ago, again we had a great Saturday evening...spot on. We ordered lamb chops, mixed grill, pastas... delicious 😋 kids were happy with there meal and the waterfall they've got🙂. Excellent service, very warm welcoming and helpful waitress...thanks to the lady. Will definitely come back
Been going for years now can even remember going as a kid with my dad, the food never disappoints and In my opinion is the best around, the staff are very friendly and will go out of the way to remember there regulars they are kind and easy to talk to whilst you wait for your food. Best kebab house on the island by far even off the island I have yet to find anywhere as good or caring to there customers

Our visit to The Bear on Friday night was an absolute delight, and we felt incredibly lucky to have discovered such a gem! Right away, we were struck by the truly amazing service and the wonderfully friendly and welcoming atmosphere this public house offers.
A standout moment was how the manager went above and beyond to assist one of our friends who had been thoroughly let down by Booking.com. He displayed incredible dedication, working tirelessly to organize another room, food, and transport for them. His efforts to help were truly exceptional, and we were profoundly grateful for his genuine care and support.
And then there was the food! My wings and minted lamb were absolutely superb and incredibly plentiful. What a treat! Plus, the prices were wonderfully reasonable, making it one of the most affordable rounds I've purchased in ages. The Bear is an amazing establishment, and I sincerely wish it was my local pub. I can confidently say that if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be returning!
BUT get a taxi, it's all uphill.
Stayed a few days in Aberdaron and visited this place a couple of times. Staff were lovely and the food….the food!! The minted lamb pasty, the spice curried cauliflower pasty and the Rice Krispie cakes were just heaven. Thanks for putting a smile on our faces…😎

£3 to park even though no signage to that effect. Approached by man from centre just after we’d parked up to have a spot of lunch. Wouldn’t stop again.
Wonderful cafe. Had a beautiful fish board for our lunch, very reasonably priced and so well presented. Lovely fresh bread served alongside.
The couple running it are so friendly and chatty, it was really welcoming. There is also a fishmongers to one side of the cafe, serving lovely fresh fish for you to take away and cook yourself.
Suitable for all ages.
Working in town I popped in to grab some lunch it’s been a while since I’ve been here. Ordered a Brie apple and celery roll…. Wowser it was quite honestly one of the nicest rolls I’ve ever eaten, soft fresh roll, slices of crisp sweet apple lay on chopped celery and plenty of Brie slices. I can’t recommend this place enough 5 stars are not enough for what I had there today….thank you to the lovely lady who served me (I think it may have been the owner) In the old Arnie quote” I’ll be back!”
A gem of a local restaurant. We travelled from London for the weekend and had a really lovely meal here. The restaurant itself is very quirky with a lovely bar for a drink before dinner if you fancy.
The food was delicious, think retro dishes like prawn and avocado and chicken supreme.

Poor service. Lots of locals there which is good for the Ship but clearly not in hurry to serve faces they don't recognise.
Update: thank you for response from owner. Just to clarify, we visited two weeks ago not on a weekend - beginning of April. Three women behind the bar decided to chat rather than serve despite seeing us there. I am only posting now in response to Google prompt.
Descubierto esta joya de un lugar, Omar era tan servicial y amable. El knafer era tan delicioso y la torta de leche era tan ligera y se veía tan hermosa que compré 3 para llevar
