I knew this place was closed but I came here as a stop to look at the beautiful scenery.

The visitor centre seems to closed and gone away

Best english breakfast I had on my vacation in the UK.

Basic very expensive . Nothing in the area so they can charge what they want

The lake and views are great but the cafe is closed, rude fisherman's club and the so called PUBLIC toilets are not for the public but for fisherman members?? One family were sitting on a bench to have a bite to eat and drink and told to move on as they were not members of the so called club? funny as the sign advertises it open to the public??

Wish we had found this place earlier! Breakfast wrap was amazing! Very reasonable prices too.

Great food and service, stunning views

Peace and quiet with a nice coffee shop. Stroll along the dam and round the lake.

This is a great café with some amazing views over the lake of the old Nuclear power station at Trawsfynydd the café has a good menu and is very clean and tidy the staff were very nice and helpfull they have a lovely place outside with plenty of tables were you can even take your dog 🐕 this place has a very relaxing atmosphere

Went for a nice Sunday Breakfast , about 6 people in the queue was very slow moving . So gave up and left. Needs another counter member of staff.

Stopped here on the motorbikes fantastic view good coffee and cake and friendly owner's.

We needed coffee and a sausage roll just to keep us going and this seemed to be just the place. We did manage to get the coffee, which was OK. Didn't manage the sausage roll though, but having said that it was going on closing time and we were offered other alternatives. The centre is situated on a lake which is great for taking your drinks outside to admire the view. The concrete buildings are part of a nuclear power station which is being decommissioned, but they do give an interesting contrast to the beauty of the lake if you follow the path for a walk.

Had a good Latte and sat looking at the lake. Breakfast looks good. The loo was clean looking but smelly. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stopped at this beautiful spot for some coffee. Enjoyed the beautiful view.

Visited during a motorcycle outing and cafe clean and young staff very polite. Manager unfriendly when emptying the till in front of me! Had takeout teas and snacks and sat on the rocks by the lake as no seating. Not 1 bin outside so saw loads of rubbish stuffed inbetween the rocks.! Manager refused entry to 2 minibuses full of walkers who stopped there as it was 2.55pm and she closed at 3pm. Not good customer service at all.

I tried to access the cafe on the 6/12/21 but unfortunately it was closed although the website said it would be open. Beautiful lake though.

Very nice place. Good for trout fishing

It is difficult to give a star rating for this as the cafe and its staff are good and worth 5 stars. However, the lake ride pulls this rating down. Do check the cafe opening days. The ride is through some fantastic scenery but a few things spoilt it for us: there are LOTS of gates, necessary to keep livestock in, but very challenging when trying to get bikes through. The steep ascent and descent paths have been resurfaced with loose rocks making it hard not to spin out or fall off unless you have a good mountain bike and some skill - we managed, just! Much of the route is on single track tarmac shared with cars and there is a section on pavement directly adjacent to the national speed limit A470. Finally the "footpath" to the south of the cafe was so overgrown with brambles and nettles that scratches are unavoidable. Next time we will just hike to the high point for the views and then pig out at the cafe!

Its fantastic to find a place that does home cooked food with a grate menu and wonderful surroundings

We didn't go in the cafe but the views are worth seeing. Especially if you are a photographer.

Stopped here for breakfast, view is absolutely beautiful and food is lovely. Only downside was the vegetarian options aren’t that exciting, but I was able to have a lovely mushroom omelette! Definitely worth a stop for the view.

Only stopped as it was on route to another place but made a return journey just to take in the view and enjoy the area, a very nice place to stop for a wonder.

Not helped by being a cold, miserable, grey morning! The cafe was chilly, the toilets even colder and I was charged 50p for one mug of hot water, which is being a little greedy. I sat by the window to look out onto the lake, but I needed to keep my coat on. I am sure that it's absolutely beautiful in the summer and the ambience much brighter and livelier, but it certainly didn't seem cheery today, in early January 2020!

Nice for a day out, carpark £6.5 for whole day, icecream (wippy) £1.8, cheap coffe so overall very reaasonably priced. Very nice playground for kids. As for sea acsess very long stoney beach and you can park your car next to it. When you planning to come here dont forget to bring flipflops

Beautiful gardens, stunning views, very clean and inviting cafe area. Clean toilets which is always good!

Walked out having waited in line while the only person serving, faffed about with a customer's bill for 10 minutes and then announced I'd have to wait because he had other drinks to make before he would serve me. Plenty of other staff standing around doing nothing, who it seems were not allowed to serve customers. I won't be going back.
