The best restaurants in Wales

Having not been to The Greyhound for a year or so, I was thrilled with our choice. Nothing had changed, everything was as good as before. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Despite the restaurant being busy, Service was prompt and friendly and the food ( Steak & Kidney Pie / Fruity Chicken Curry ) was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended. We certainly won't leave it so long till we return

We called here today from the recommendation of our daughter! We weren’t disappointed - a good choice menu with quick service and, polite and friendly staff! Our 2 breakfasts were super tasty, and a little too big for us to finish! I even went to thank the staff for such a good service and look forward to visiting Sam’s soon - thank you all for a great experience! Jeff & Nicola

Whenever I return to the UK I head to Cardiff and this is one of the reasons. Seriously the best BLT and tea in the UK. Thick bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, properly toasted bread.

This pub is just fabulous and very dog friendly. The food was amazing, and I would recommend the chicken curry, it was delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, as were the locals. I would suggest booking as it can get very busy. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

I really like the food in Crumbs kitchen, especially the pasta bake . They also do lovely smoothies & gorgeous cakes. Plus their coleslaw is lovely. The service is really good. I really like it there!

Thank you Hazel and staff for a lovely evening with our friends last night.We were really welcomed and sat in the lounge which was nice and quiet for our pre-dinner drinks.The 3 course meal we all had was amazing.Our mains-lamb rump and the beef bourguignon was truly amazing(Hazel did say that no one else makes it quite like them-how true-lovely chunks of melt in the mouth beef). The seafood platter to start with was mouthwatering ,also the duck starter which our friends had. The white linen tablecloths and pipping hot plates and food also contributed to the meals being exceptional. We then returned to the lounge to enjoy some more catching up with our friends -not many eating places offer this on Anglesey as most expect you leave once you leave your table. I do not normally write reviews however I felt I had to recommend Bishopsgate.We will definitely be back very soon.Thank you again.

Just delicious every time we go here. Lovely fresh made sort of mini baguettes with extra salad filling if you desire. Great coffee and perhaps the best around too! Then there is the tremendous array of home made sweat treats. Lovely staff too!

One of Chepstow's finest pub. A lovely roast beef Sunday lunch beautifully presented and supported by an excellent pint.

This is a lovely place to stay we had one night here and we were very well looked after the kitchen staff came in early for us as we had a tight schedule to keep which was appreciated. The food both in the evening and breakfast was excellent would definitely stay again.

It is a couple of years since we have visited the Amroth Arms - we recall having good food there - we weren’t disappointed on our return! The gammon, steak and especially the lasagna were exceptional. Good portions served in a friendly manner ~ two of us had the old fashioned sherry trifle - you could actually taste the sherry! We enjoyed it so much we wanted to bring our families there (7 adults) but as they were not taking any booking - just adhoc drop ins - and we could not guarantee a table - they missed out on business and we missed out on delicious food - such a shame.

Stayed here one night, the staff were nice, the rooms were clean and the view was lovely. Only issue we had was waking up from hearing noises from builders in the morning, unsure whether works were happening at the hotel or next door- it would have been nice to be notified about this. Other than that, pleasant stay.

Highly recommend this place. Amazing customer service they couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious. We will definitely be returning very soon.

We had a sit down meal here tonight, service was excllent, food was quick and delicious. We had the seat meal for two which was really good value for money.

Just got back from Sunday roast at Tap & Tan and by some margin, the best roast we have had. Beef was smoky and full of flavour. Yorkshire smoky and cooked to perfection. Veg and Cauli cheese was incredible. Ended on Sticky toffee and that dud not disappoint. A MUST visit when visiting Tenby!
