The Gwbert Hotel in Ceredigion

We stopped at the end of our day without reservations. The hotel was welcoming and very comfortable. The view of the estuary was great. Food was excellent. A wonderful find.

Me and my husband stayed for 4 days. The staff were all lovely and friendly. The food and the views were amazing

Stayed here one night, the staff were nice, the rooms were clean and the view was lovely. Only issue we had was waking up from hearing noises from builders in the morning, unsure whether works were happening at the hotel or next door- it would have been nice to be notified about this. Other than that, pleasant stay.

Have just returned from a 4 night stay in this fantastic hotel. Had a fabulous room overlooking the sea with stunning sunsets. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and good bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Car parking was very tight but there was an overflow car park just across the road. The only negative was that I always check to see if there is a lift and a car park to which the answer was yes. What wasn’t explained was that the lift only goes to certain rooms. I struggle with stairs and my partner has Parkinson’s so on leaving the lift there were stairs down, then up then down again. This meant that when going down in the morning we had to take everything with us and coming back in the evening we didn’t leave the room again. Having said this we would highly recommend and would return but would ask for a room near the lift. Thanking you all for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely superb. Great location with a peaceful vibe. Easy parking. Superb room with an ocean view. Excellent facilities and Wi-Fi. Superb room, clean. Great bathroom facilities. The breakfast was included, great choices offered and excellent service with a smile. Highly recommend.

I've visited many times and this comment I post can express that this place is a bit hit and miss for food.. But they have a lovely location and places to sit outside if weather is good.. I've had so many memories here in the 15yrs I've visited so yes it's a good place for what you need unless you choose food then it's a gamble

Lovely location. Staying at another hotel went here for food. It's OK but only 1 member of staff is attentive the others don't really know what they are doing abd service was very slow. Food was nothing special, and overcooked steak was not good, but just seeing the sunset across the bay made it better. X.

Unfortunately booked the wrong day, after paying in full I tried to cancel literally 1-2 hrs after booking. No refund and no dates throughout the year available on website? I wouldn’t stay simply because the initial customer service is dismal. First impressions count.
