I don't enjoy leaving a poor review, but left feeling very disappointed! I was completely ignored at the counter, despite there being three members of staff seemingly doing little. A glance to say someone will be with you shortly would have helped. Pancakes, yogurt and fruit compote were ordered for g. children. Compote was over ripe bananas mashed up with sugar! Sludgy in colour and pretty awful in taste! My sandwhich had been forgotten and was supposed to be Tuna mayo, only mayo had been forgotten also when it did arrive. Used to serve good, real, wholesome bread, now sadly only sliced bread! A sad decline or maybe just a bad day!

Serves very good coffee and had an excellent sandwich with what I took to be home made coleslaw which was delicious, sounds a daft thing to comment on but it was really nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, there's also a little book shop information point and grocery shop. An unexpected surprise find.

We came across Cletwr by accident while on the hunt for a place to stop, and I'm so glad we did. This is a fabulous community shop and cafe supported by a team of volunteers who have created something really special. The coffee and cakes were great, and we then spent some time in their shop that brings together some wonderful Welsh produce. Cletwr is a great example of a community-owned project and we'll be making a point of stopping by to support them when we're next in the area.

This was an extremely busy coffee shop in a bright new building..There were insufficient staff to deal with the numbers when we arrived, so wait for coffee was more than 20 minutes. If you have the time (I'm sure it's not that busy all the time) then it's a pleasant enough place. The coffee lattes need more work. What was in the cup looked nothing like a coffee latte. No froth, and not light at all. Food was to die for though. Especially the Lemon muffins & croissants.

We were there 4 days ago and saw Malgosia leave his awful review (from another table) so felt compelled to leave a review. Just for clarity, they took an age to order not realising it wasn’t table service, ate their entire full English breakfast in under 5 minutes, and left without saying anything to the staff. I’d say they got their food within the 20 mins that they stated and didn’t seem to mind waiting, talking to each other throughout. Totally unwarranted review in our opinion and worth ignoring, we were well looked after, impressed with the quality of the food and options, and love the community ethos of the venue. We will be going back for sure.

Don't bother. Find elsewhere and will save on disappointment. Over priced, simple food took over 20 minutes to be served and it was warm and cardboard like consistency. Large coffee gets 2 biscuits and that's what makes it bitter then small. Terrible experience. Stay away.

Nipped in today on the way back from a lovely holiday in Clarach bay, supposed to be a community cafe however looking at the menu it did look a little expensive £7.50 for a bacon bap…we ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 lattes. £28... The food comes out and the breakfast has 1 sausage, 1 small egg , 1 small rasher of bacon. 2 little hash browns, slice of black pudding, 1 round of toast and tiny bowl of beans…we thought they’d made a mistake and bought us out small breakfasts. The menu says bacon, egg, sausage but we didn’t expect the larger breakfast to have 1 of each…when they also offer a small breakfast. Our community cafe would sell this at about £4 tops and not £10.50. The food wasn’t even suitably sized for a children’s meal. At Aberystwyth in a tourist hotpot with breathtaking scenery the breakfast less with double the amount of food, better quality and superior views. Everywhere we went on our holiday we would return but not here.

Terrible service. They left us waiting because they forgot to make our order, then came out to say they didn't have the ingredients for our order, then too another half an hour after that. We asked for a refund because we had a two year old to feed and couldn't hang around, but they just kept saying 'its okay, we're boxing it for you now'. We then received our boxes, substandard toasties and left. Bad experience. Won't visit again.

Nice little cafe, but seems very disorganised. Young lad walking from table to table asking if the food he was carrying belonged to them! We ordered sandwiches and a hot drink Sandwiches came, drinks came when we had nearly finished the sandwich,. My husband had ordered some sort of coffee which they brought over and said ‘ oh I’ve forgotten to put the coffee in!’ I had a pot of tea which wasn’t particularly hot but I drank it. It was a half way point in our journey of 4.5 hours. We have been here before and it was much better in every way.

We actually stopped here twice - once going on holiday and once on the way back, 2 weeks later. Great food - cooked to order and very plentiful, as well as being reasoably priced. Staff are lovely and we enjoyed the artwork, plants for a donation and the tiny shop which hosts a multitude of treats, as well as basics. It also has a book section for new books and lots of second hand books for sale. The toilet facility supports water/toilets in Africa and there is also a child play area. It can get busy at the weekend but the food is worth the wait. My only regret was the novelty biscuits there on the way down were not there on the way back, so we missed out. An incredible little space and a real find that we intend to visit on our next trip to that part of Wales.

Perfectly positioned on the long drive to and from Pembrokeshire from Cumbria. Absolutely well worth pulling off the main road for an excellent coffe, with an amazing piece of home made cake to accompany it. Between two adults and three growing teenage boys we had two flat whites, and a luxury hot chocolate. From a good range of cakes, we chose chocolate brownie, Jaffa cake cake, chocolate cake, and carrot cake. Not a crumb was left by anyone, and it took all of our 16yr olds willpower not to lick the jaffa cake cake plate clean! An added bonus is that it is a community led enterprise so feels good to support by using. We will plan our journeys in the future around this cafe. Excellent.
