We've stopped in here twice during our stay in Aberporth. I was skeptical that the waffles would over promise and under-deliver. Went for the biscoff flavour and it was really good! Not too sweet and a decent portion size

Disappointed with pricing !, bought a coffee and a tea which were ok. Asked for a hot sausage roll £2.50 so again not bad still. Then bought a bag of walkers cheese and onion crisps and was charged £3.00 !

Great coffee, quick service and tasty food.

The name of the review says it all. We stopped close to closing for an ice cream over looking the beach. The young lady with red hair and glasses went out of her way to help- she is a real asset to the business and a great little spot that we highly recommend

Lovely views over the beach. Clean and tidy place, with good service, but the pizzas were not very good at all. I think they were the cheap frozen ones you can buy from Aldi, or similar.

We stopped for a cuppa and ice cream with the kids. It was lovely to sit on the benches and look down at the beach. Staff were friendly and efficient. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, would recommend the walk up to the cafe which has both steps and a path.

Stopped for a coffee. We were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly. The coffee was excellent and the view over the beach is amazing

Fantastic location, great well-priced food and friendly staff. It's a short walk to the beach and even dog-friendly. We've been going since it opened and have never been disappointed. Also highly recommended if you're coeliac/gluten intolerant. There are GF toasties and, during the summer, pizzas. Unlike a lot of places, you don't feel short-changed with the GF option. I'm not sure if they have GF cakes though. As you've probably gathered, I recommend the Cwtch 100%

Great little place to get a nice freshly made sandwich and drink overlooking the beach.

Disappointing. Lovely location but that is the one positive. Coffee was borderline average served in a takeaway cut, dry cake and overall expensive. Also half of the items listed on the menu were unavailable. Service very slow and staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Will not be returning. Do not recommend.

Lovely restaurant and ice cream parlour situated just of the coastal path and overlooking the beach at Aberporth. So great location and views. We had pizzas here. They were delicious and very reasonable. One can pre-order if necessary but it's really nice on a summers evening just to sit on the veranda and watch the sun set.

Cafe situated over the Bay at Aberporth serving fresh made salads, baguettes and sandwiches with generous filling of fresh, tasty food. Toilets just a few steps away. Separate excellent ice cream counter.

My family and I have been here many times over the past month or so. Location is picturesque overlooking the beach and seaside. The food has always been tasty and freshly cooked. Staff here re very friendly and accommodating. We recently ordered food that included two orders for family members with specific allergies and the attention to detail was amazing! Very tasty pizzas and breakfast including berry waffles have been favourites for my family. The cakes are fantastic; amongst others we can say that the Bara Brith and Victoria sponge are second to none. Well worth a visit for either a quick snack or a substantial meal.

Stopped here for lunch during my coastal path walk. Went for the panini which was delicious and just what I needed. Plenty of seating outside on decking. Or you could go down and eat it on the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Brilliant place to eat after a long day of dog walking, they even have dog friendly ice cream.

Great location, friendly staff, a tiny bit pricey but, understandable as it's mainly seasonal. Wish they had more to offer around lunch time with hot food but very happy with the panini's we had - pulled pork, mozzarella and chutney, although the pork was a bit chunky rather than shredded, it was very tasty all the same. Would revisit if in the area👍

Great position and views. Had a tuna mayo sandwich which was good, and the breakfast waffle which was fine, nice fruit and yoghurt but would have benefited from a little maple syrup - I should have asked. Would I go back - yes, in fact I did.

Very impressed with the gluten free options at Gwtch Glanmordy, pizza and ice-creams in a lovely setting.

We've had the various paninis which are made on a lovely seeded panini bread our favourite is the bacon brie cranberry, we have also had the nachos which kids and adults loved as they aren't spicy the pizzas and also a great favourite was the waffle cone filled with flavoured ice cream and cream ,in fact no complaints at all except be prepared to WAIT up to an hour combining the queue to be served and then for the food to be prepared depending on how busy they are sometimes it's just 10/15mins.

Arrived in Aberporth, after a 5 hour drive. Needed a walk and a snack. Well renovated. Great view of the bay. the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was brought to the table. We had toasties. They were served with coleslaw and a salad. Very tasty. A good menu at reasonable prices. Even got dog icecream

Having written a review giving Cwtch Glanmordy a poor rating in 2019, due to a drastic decline in the quality of both food and coffee, it's now a pleasure to update with a much better rating. The coffees are now made properly, using 'proper coffee' and the lattes using 'proper milk'! The machine dispensing the awful powdered concoctions of the past, I'm pleased to say, is long gone. The choice, and more importantly, the quality, of the food on offer has also been restored to a very good standard with the side salad accompanying the panninis etc being just that, and not just a small heap of wilted lettuce as before. Providing the current standards remain it is now an establishment worthy of a good rating and recommendation. There is still a little room for improvement regarding service which can be a bit slow and disjointed, but this is dependent on which staff are in attendance. Despite ordering both meals together at lunchtime today my husband had almost finished his before I had even received mine but fingers crossed this was a one off!

We had a Lovely visit to the cwtch today it’s such a lovely spot to sit taking in the beautiful views of aberporth they are also very lucky as they get the sun on the patio all of the day , my daughter loved every mouthful of her bueno bubble waffle which was full of ice cream, cream ,bueno pieces and hazel nut sauce In a warm waffle and she said it was the best one she had ever had and I’m told we are going back next weekend for another :) , We also had lovely coffee a tasty baguette and my dad enjoyed one of the homemade cheesecakes , highly recommend a visit on your trip to aberporth see you again next week for a bubble waffle 💝

We called in for ice cream after a lovely morning on the beach. It was absolutely perfect, best location and amazing choice of ice cream. Lovely staff. Can't recommend enough

Ordered two ice cream cones. The ice cream was a very small portion and was full of ice and tasteless. We were expecting a nice creamy Welsh ice cream. The ice cream is not on display so we expect the cafe is using cheap catering ice cream. It honestly was the worst ice cream we have ever had and was completely flavourless. We recommend avoiding at all costs.

Fantastic views across the beach out towards the sea, dog friendly, service attentive staff friendly. Wish it was open moe but when it was we enjoyed our visits

6 of us plus 2 7 week old babies ordered drinks and cakes sat outside whilst the babies were Breast fed It started to rain hard. Tables n chairs clearly visible behind locked doors in the cafe The staff would not allow the mums and babies to sit inside to finish feeding. The dogs were more welcome than the babies. Def won’t becoming again.

Very disappointed. The main cafe is now closed,so only options are ices, hot drinks and one choice of cake. Boy member of staff wasn't doing anything, constantly on phone. The position overlooks beautiful scenery. If you go, take a picnic. Can't understand why they are not serving sandwiches/paninis and hot snacks anymore. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

Prices looked a bit steep at first, but the quality and quantity of the food justifies it. Coffee also nice. Benches at the location overlooking the beach and also some other benches nearby.

A lovely cafe with a stunning view. Great choice of hot and cold food, drinks and even ice cream for dogs. We sat on picnic benches under gazebos overlooking the beach from an elevated vantage point. Warm and friendly staff too.

We have the pod on the seafront for a few nights and had a wonderful lunch from this beautiful little place. Both myself and my husband ordered a huge panini each with salad and coleslaw/crisps and both were delicious! The serving staff seemed happy and friendly. We only waited about 5 minutes or so for the takeaway and were brought our food (to take back to the pod) really quickly! The food quality was lovely and just our sort of yummy! We originally thought it was a little on the expensive side, but the portions and massive and it tasted great. Nice bread, plenty of filling and cheese and we’re super happy!

We found this place while driving through Aberporth and seen the other side where this café was overlooking the beach parking is a bit of an issue but we managed to find close by although it is a nice dry warm day we had to queue but it was worthwhile took our order a good selection on the menu I had the pull Pork Panini and my partner had hot baguette with chicken Tikka which was very nice indeed

I love this place is usually give it 5. But today they had no jackets left so ordered a toasted sandwich to bring home. Got home to find a cold untoasted sandwich. Not very good

Whilst I have so enjoyed this pretty cafe in Aberporth since it opened, I am very disappointed to find that over time the speed and standard of service has not improved. This is a charming sunny spot to sit and enjoy a stunning view and could be an amazing destination, however on every single visit I have experienced very slow service. Whilst I understand it gets busy due to it being one of the only cafes in the area, to buy a coffee or any ice cream can be a queue of 30/40 mins. I’d love to see this place speed up the service as for now, I’ll bring a flask with me

This is a wonderfully located cafe run by nice people. Sadly, the coffee is awful. The machine that is used produces a truly inferior product, so if it's good coffee you are looking for, go elsewhere. Apart from that, a perfect little spot and when we were there folk seemed to be happy with their food.

After a revisist today I've had to change to my review after Messing my order up twice.

I have on many visits walked past this café but never paid it a visit. This holiday I stopped for coffee and cake and on another occasion for lunch. Procedures were in place for social distancing and a great menu was offered. Lunch was brilliant I had a chicken tikka sandwich, it was well presented and lovely, the rest of my family were also very pleased. Views over Aberporth beach from here are also amazing, I will not leave it so long before visiting again!

Well this is a lovely small costal beach. Has a good fish & chip shop also a café that also sells beach items. And a handy pub. Beware this beach can get very busy and only has 2 car parks chargeable at times in the year.

Lovely place to go and have a hot drink or snack after a healthy walk on the beach. Staff really friendly and treats for the dogs as well.

My wife and I spent the weekend in Aberporth, and one of the highlights was a coffee and an icecream whilest enjoying the fantastic view from the Cwtch.

In a lovely setting and location this cafe serves really good food. The service was quick and very obliging.

The situation was delightful and the food delicious, however being provided with cheap wooden cutlery and cardboard boxes to eat out of seems both risible and infantile.

Last minute decision for an evening meal.The weather was gorgeous, the setting was beautiful overlooking Aberporth beach and the mill pond Cardigan bay sea.On a raised level with steps up/down to the venue.Staff polite, service was good especially as they were busy.Take away facilities with seating areas both under cover and out in the open air.Tasty pizza with a variety of choice/flavours.Home made cakes also for sale - but we didn’t participate - this time!!Will return

Here's enterprising, a previously scrappy bit of land overlooking the beach has become a very welcome addition to the village. Popped in twice, jolly nice milkshake,coffee good too I'm told. Clean, good service, great location, worth five star billing.

We visited a number of times to grab a quick lunch or buy take away pizzas. (Pizzas only made from about 4pm onwards.) Excellent views of the beach, ok food and friendly staff. However, when busy the staff struggle to keep up with taking and fulfilling orders. Sitting is available under cover and outside.

Impromptu visit to Cwtch Glanmordy for an afternoon snack. Great selection of meals available. Service was great as was the food. Definitely worth a visit.

The food was lovely as was the welcome. They allow dogs in the cafe and even brought my dog a bowl of clean water. Highly recommended

Had walked the coastal path from Aberporth to Tresaith and back. Stopped here to get a couple of drinks. Very reasonably priced.

Went as a family group with little people. Thankfully we had food for the tiny ones as they were so hungry they couldn't wait for the long prep time. The views were well worth the wait for the adults. Excellent food and the special for the day was too delicious for words. Not too expensive and I would recommend I'm certainly returning.

Started using the Cwtch regularly as i’m Trying to loose weight. Fantastic salads, l like the Crab salad box. Highly recommend the diverse menu and super friendly ‘can do attitude’ staff. See you soon! Owen Griffiths.

Stopped here for food after a long walk. Asked for a menu and bought our drinks, went to order a sandwich and panini only to be told it was pizza only from 4pm (it was five to 4). Wish they had told us that (or written it on the menu even)before we'd paid for our drinks which we ended up leaving because the coffee was like dishwater. Nice setting but disappointing service.

Called in for coffee and had lunch. Had a Chicken Tikka salad which was fantastic. As someone who requires a gluten free diet I am often disappointed in availability of options. However my salad was fresh, flavoursome, plentiful and the chicken tikka was awesome. Staff very attentive and helpful, surroundings lovely and clean and views outstanding. Fab.

We visited Cwtch Glanmordy several times whilst on holiday last summer, as the standard of the food/hot drinks was excellent, couldn't be faulted, but oh dear, what a deterioration between last year and this. The lattes last year were made with full milk and sumptious, this year order a latte and you get a strong watery concoction that the lover of a true latte finds undrinkable, made by a machine more at home on a train station platform! Last years lunches were fulfilling, served with a beautifully presented and tasty salad garnish including meticulously chopped peppers, red onions, cucumber, tomato and a drizzle of dressing, plus coleslaw and crisps, a pleasure to the eye and the taste buds. This years lunch, described as an open toasted crab sandwich served with salad, consisted of two slices of dry toast, a couple of individually wrapped butter portions, a separate small pot of crab meat, a portion of coleslaw, a few crisps, plus an overkill of dry lettuce and nothing else, not even a drizzle of dressing! Hardly meeting the description on the menu, let alone last years high standards, leading to a total disappointment. Come on Glanmordy, ditch the rank coffee machine and bring back those extra special touches that showed you cared about what you served up.

Stopped at The Cwtch Glanmordy today for a coffee with some friends. Cafe is lovely, staff are helpful but the coffee was terrible! Took it back & the staff replaced them without hesitation but the second cup was no improvement. Coffee was very weak, not much taste. The food they were serving looked great though.

Beautiful café overlooking the beach, fabulous views.. fresh homely brown bread making the best toastie ever and the Feta salad was delicious … The children loved the Ice-cones and sausage rolls....Dogs welcome no matter how large (we have a Great Dane and Yorkshire terrier) both equally welcomed with drinking water at the ready ..spotlessly clean, friendly hard working staff and well worth a visit..

Very nice cafe well worth the visit. Definitely be going back again. Nothing is too much trouble for them even with very fussy (for fussy read gluten sensitivity and vegan, in our group) that's the mark of a good eatery because they don't just put up a poster telling you what's in their food they ask

Whenever my partner and I visit nearby Aberaeron, we always visit Aberporth, with its easy parking and lovely beach. The Cwtch is an excellent cafe and we always receive superb customer service. Nothing is too much trouble, and the seating area provides excellent views of Cardigan Bay

We enjoyed an icecream here whilst gazing at the stunning beach in gorgeous weather. Quirky little beach huts make this stand out from a normal seaside cafe and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Wow what a fabulous spot for lunch! Perched just above the beach perfect location to sit out and take in the views. The food was lovely, very tasty and reasonably priced with great, quick service. Plenty of choice on the menu for food and drinks including variety of breads, would highly recommend. Note: access is down steep steps so not suitable for pushchair or wheelchair access but they do takeaway and there some lovely park benches on the green overlooking the bay.

Lovely little place. We (husband & children 10 & 7) walked along the coastal path from Tresaith. Took about 35min, with stops along the way to take in the scenery. Our food came quite quickly & was very enjoyable. Prices reasonable for the quantity. We had two children's bacon sandwiches (£2.95 each) and a jacket potato with tuna mayo (£5.25).This was accompanied by a salad garnish & lovely creamy coleslaw, which was large enough for us to share. Staff kept the area clean & tidy & cleared tables straight away. The view over Aberporth beach is fab. Lovely little pit stop.

Lovely food, fast service...no toilets at the cwtch..but the public ones are two mins away...seatting inside and outside..with lovely views of the beach!

Like many British seaside towns and villages, not much ever changes here in Aberporth, so when it does it comes with a real sense of occasion. And so it is with Cwtch Glanmordy to which we decided to walk for a quick lunchtime bite to eat during a day’s kayaking and beach-going. What a lovely little gem it is, nestling on the cliffs above the beach and with a gorgeous sea view from the tables on the very attractive verandah. It’s a bit like the combination of a tiny, immaculately designed and maintained cafe with a traditional wooden beach hut, which, if that was the design brief, has been met to perfection. What’s more, we had some very tasty and well prepared food, all of which is made to order in a tiny but lavishly kitted-out kitchen.

What a fantastic place. We went here for lunch and sat outside with our dogs. We ordered sandwiches, which were freshly made. They arrived in a box with salad. Everything was recyclable, including the wooden cutlery. This place was quirky, clean and excellent value. Our dogs were welcome and the view was stunning. What's not to like?

Fabulous little café overlooking the beach, with outdoor picnic bench seating and a few tables inside. Mainly offers sandwiches, paninis and jackets but also pizzas at certain times and at very reasonable prices. Child- and dog-friendly! Good use of degradable/recyclable materials, too, with meals in cardboard boxes that you can take away, and wooden cutlery. Cards accepted for orders over £7.50.

The Cwtch now opens till 9pm serving pizzas. Order inside, staff bring your fresh cooked pizza to your table overlooking one of the best beaches in Wales. The pizzas are tasty, well topped and cooked to order. Reasonably priced and a range of soft drinks to wash it down with. Worth a visit.

What a great place this is. We have visited Aberporth many times and the Cwtch is consistently good. They serve a good range of meals for a snack, lunch or if you just want an ice cream. Our personal favourite was their warm Belgian waffle with whippy ice cream and your choice of sauce. Their paninis are lovely and crispy and come with a side salad. One was enough for us to share.

We called in Cwtch on Saturday to get some much needed refreshments in this heat! Everyone was really happy with their choices of ice cream, coffees and cake! The lemon cake was delicious and highly recommended. Warm welcome, lovely food and dog friendly, what more could you ask for?
