Fantastic 2 night stay in the B&B rooms above the family run gastro pub. A warm welcome (even to an Englishman 😂) from everyone both sides of the bar! Dog friendly and very much a countryside theme in the decor throughout. Close to many scenic attractions including Carly ruins, long empty beaches and shopping. Several cask ales on draught and a full compliment of wines and spirits. Full menu from breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals using local produce. Real fires and cosy rooms to have your meal. Clean and stylish rooms to relax in afterwards, with a good night’s sleep.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were warmly welcomed to the pub. It was very quiet when we arrived but soon filled up and was bustling. Excellent food and excellent service.

Wow. Spent less than 5 minutes here. First impressions count right! Store at front of Restaurant which is like a veg shop / Deli empty of staff....and nearly as empty in stock. Very unwelcoming. Before I could find a member of staff in the restaurant so we could sit for food, I witnessed the owner shouting profanities at someone and was telling them where to go in no uncertain terms. I heard the person even mention they'd never even met her or been there before yet she continued her tirade. I think we had a lucky escape anyway the place looks dated and we found a lovely coffee and food around the corner with very welcoming staff.

Called here in the past and had poached eggs on toast, it was excellent and great value, called again this morning as in the area , tried their steak and eggs , OMG it was fantastic!! Please keep up the good work, can’t wait to visit again. Thanks so much for a refreshing change.

Had a wonderful roast dinner reasonable price and lovely atmosphere and friendly staff .highly recommend will be going there again .

I enjoyed the local Celtic steak ( surf n turf ) which was unusually tender and tasty . the wine was inexpensive and good ( although not much selection ) but the stand out element of toy dinner was the friendliness of the owner/chef ,...

Please note this is now run by Lolfa and is no longer called The Hangout. We stopped off for brunch on our way to Pembrokeshire and were delighted to find such a friendly cafe with excellent food, plenty of veggie options and great coffee. Highly recommended stop off!

Food was awful, rubber chicken and gristly pork served with dry noodles and reheated chips. Miserable woman served us, could hardly talk to us. I wouldn't want her as the face of my business, but to be fair the service mimicked the food. Won't be back.

Lovely local pub. Staff and the regulars re warm and friendly. Excellent service, good beer and good pub food at very reasonable prices.

We recently booked and visited this establishment for a Sunday roast / 93rd birthday party, (not me by the way!) as we were staying locally for the weekend. Well what can I say!!, as soon as I arrived, the outside looked like someone’s house in this tiny, yet beautiful village, however once over the threshold it became apparent how large and beautiful the inside of this pub was, even Doctor Who would’ve been impressed with this tardis! I and another family member were greeted by a warm and friendly faced landlady, and she was a lady! Asked where we were from and made us feel incredibly welcome, then she let herself down by undercharging us for our pints £4.50 each!! At home in Wiltshire I pay £6.50 for the very same pint. We were shown to our own large table (11 people), set on our own. This restaurant was impeccable. The food was perfect with some difficult family members dietary requirements, even the chef came to the table which turned out to be the landlord, what a nice guy he was too. This place was so good, I felt only obliged to buy the landlord and landlady a drink to say thank you for looking after us. After giving the 93-year-old the bumps to celebrate, we left happy and fulfilled. Thank you guys!

Good local chippy, would use again, good prices

Still the best brekky in Llanelli; old school type cafe with no fancy bits. I enjoyed the Full Monty immensely, although I really could have settled for just the large breakfast. The taste and servings haven’t changed in years.
