Had a toasted sandwich, which was lovely, plenty of filling and toasted to perfection. The best chips I've ever had in a café before. Lovely, friendly staff.

Called for lunch today - very friendly welcome. Opted for jacket potato with beans and cheese for myself and my Husband chose the turkey/ham pie with chips and peas served with a jug of gravy. Both meals were well presented and delicious. Very cosy and friendly cafe and would definitely recommend and return

A fantastic breakfast made perfect by the three sizes option which is a great innovation, small, medium or large. Perfect food, lovely staff and dog-friendly. Staff are so helpful and make a pleasure of your visit. Try the cakes as well: all home made and gorgeous. If you're in Llandeilo don't miss this gem of a place

Fantastic cooked brekkie, comes in 4 different sizes so perfect for everyone. The staff are lovely, very friendly and accommodating, great service and food. It was so good, we returned next day for roast dinner which was also fab. It’s in a lovely premises in the heart of the town. Would strongly recommend.

Service was terrible,not a single customer, after ordering food I noticed not a single table had been cleaned. Wen our drinks came out they were not what we oderd and wen when we asked them for the correct oder they brought us the wrong oder again so we sed we will leve the drinks and just have the food then the staff got agressive, wasn't like that a while back wen Brian owed the place. New ownership really killing the cafe

We ordered two breakfasts one with a milky coffee.they brought out a black coffee .I said I wanted a coffee made with milk so they brought out the same cup with a little milk in it.i said don't bother I won't have the coffee as they were in capable to make what I asked for.chef came out all aggressive and shouting. So I asked for money back. All the tables were dirty and had to wait for one to be wipped down .we were the only customers and four members of staff .stay away from this overpriced dirty little cafe.

Fantastic proper caff, very accommodating. We were a group of 11, and they cooked our meals very quickly considering the size of the group. Clean plates and happy faces all around. Great food, great value, great portions. They had a classic arcade game as well (free to play!) which was very handy to keep the kids entertained, Would be here every day if I lived in Llandeilo! Diolch yn fawr!

What a nice surprise. Had coffee in the morning. We then went back for lunch. The staff are friendly, The food is very good. And good value for money. The espresso is strong enough to meld lead, perfect. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. Recommended. We have just been back for lunch after a year. The food is still excellent, service very superb, prices reasonable. Still highly recommended.

What a hidden gem! Popped in with the dog where dog friendly is another level. This place was so clean and homely. The cappuccino I had was really frothy and proper chocolate on top. Decided to treat the dog so I bought the homemade scotch egg and it was so good ! Saw and smelt the breakfast and it looked amazing. Treat your kids to a milkshake there they looked so good !!!

Full cafe in the centre of Llandeilo ,full of regulars, always a good sign. Really busy with good food served quickly and with a smile, jacket potatoes looked great with lots of different fillings, breakfasts also looked fabulous. Just had a quick drop in for a cuppa, old style cafe with good old fashion prices x

Well Bryan sadly is no more his relatives took over with the intention of taking over.Last time we came down ot was closed so this time I rang to make sure and was told it was open until 3pm Dog walked off to Llandeilo impolitely I didn't ask if Milo could come in I apologised later when I found out New staff/owners were quite happy and Milo certainly made several new friends. Now the food apparently one of the chefs had worked fo Bryan.in the past and it showed.A plate of wonderfully tender roast beef, Yorkshire pudding with stuffing, carrots, peas, roasties, new potatoes, red cabbage, brocolli swede, cauliflower in white sauce and green beans, a very full plate as I said at the Cottage more veggies than I knew existed! Long may they continue to serve the community and visitors like us. Pudding was jam sponge,me and chocolate Leila both with custard. Lovely!!!

Always call in when we go to the caravan always a warm welcome with good freshly cooked food. Sadly this time someone was missing our host of many years Bryan had passed in the time since we were last there.

Lovely cafe on main street of Llandeilo, we stayed in the next village along and our accomodation didn't do breakfast so found this place on google. So glad we stopped here as the 2 English Breakfasts we had were delicious. Coffee was also very nice. Owner and staff very friendly and we had a lovely chat, leaving with recommendations of some great places to visit as we hadn't visited this part of Wales before. Overall excellent value for money and we would highly recommend.

Always good and deliver to Llanwrda. Went to the Cottage today to try and have to say not like it was in Brian's day but early days.

As always called in on our recent visit to our static caravan in Llanwrda. We had our young Labrador with us as usual and were all made very welcome Brian as always found time for a chat when he returned from his deliveries,indeed next day we followed him to Llanwrda. I have always been a sucker for the chicken curry and this time was surprised to notice that the recipe had been changed as it looked very different the waitress confirmed there were two chefs and that the recipe had been changed. My wife had a ham and cheese toastie which she said was very nice. Two pots of tea gave a little over 2 cups each. Just a very brief word on the curry it was very tasty and had large chunks of chicken but sadly I preferred the old recipe as always proper chips, not frozen, piping hot and on this occasion we ate alone, very rare. Still miss the Cottage under Brian's ownership but Gwlli has been a good alternative for us on our, fairly, regular visits to the area

What a fantastic find. Have seen this cafe for years but never visited. Thank goodness we finally did. The staff and other locals could not have been friendlier. Especially as we had a loud, excitable 19 month old to feed. They cook specials everyday. We had pie of the day with homemade chips and it was great. We visited again 3 days later…. And I had the Gammon. Great again! It’s not going to break any culinary boundaries but home cooked classic dishes really hit the spot. And so, so friendly.

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience of this cafe. We were in Llandeilo for the Antiques Fair and pretty well everywhere was packed. We eventually found a table here and were told that there would be a 'bit of a delay' with the food - which we said we didn't mind. However, one hour later - and with several people who had arrived after us being served - our patience ran out. They'd clearly overstretched themselves so we can't comment on the food as we didn't have any (all we ordered were toasties !). To be fair to the owner, when I went to pay for the two cups of tea we'd had, he didn't charge us.

Excellent value, good service and dog friendly. The food is home made and the portions are large. Good, tasty stuff. The cafe is a bit of an institution in Llandeilo - especially given all of the work the team has done to support the community.

It’s an unassuming cafe on the main street of Landeilo. There was a pub menu and a special Christmas menu. 2 of us had the pub menu- fish and chips and burger- tasty. 2 of us had the Christmas menu- roast Welsh lamb with Christmas pudding and brandy custard - tasty. Worth a visit.

I had a two course Christmas lunch that cost GBP 18. I started with 2 slices of roast lamb with mint sauce, stuffing placed in a Yorkshire pudding, one roast potato, mash potato, Brussels sprouts, carrots, long beans and green peas. The roast lamb was a little tough, but tasted fine with the mint sauce. The single roast potato was excellent and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the Christmas pudding with brandy butter which was faultless. Service was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.

We popped in here for brekkie whilst staying in the area and it was the best brekkie we've had in a long while. The food was amazing and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We got chatting to the owner and it's clear they there is a real ethos of community spirit which is amazing to find. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again. Thank you to all 😊

We stayed for a week in Llandeilo and really fancied fish and chips takeaway. We were recommended the cafe as they do takeaway too and are open until 6pm. Everything was freshly cooked with beautiful cod, home made chips and lovely mushy peas. Fantastic.

We met the owner yesterday in The Cottage who said to call in as this was where he'd gone so today we did. Leila has vegetable pasta an says it was. Very tasty. I had jacket potato with curry and it was very nice indeed. We had lemon and lime to drink and a slice each of their cakes for later, looking forward to that with a cup of tea. Leila said she wonders how many eggs they use in the mix to make them that tall. Mein host made us most welcome as always and certainly worth a visit. Clearly very popular during lunch period waitresses charming. Very rarely go into the heart of Llandeilo but certainly worth a visit.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Basic cafe but lots of choice on offer. We settled for jacket potato with side salad and my husband was pleased there was "no fancy leaves nonsense", but proper lettuce and simple ingredients. Other customers were enjoying hearty meals. Although staff were kept busy there were no delays, and we felt it was a friendly atmosphere.

Visited last Saturday lunchtime for a quick coffee and a bacon roll. A real warm welcome and efficient service, lovely freshly cooked sausage & bacon rolls served very promptly. As we finished a man (the owner) came round to chat & asked us where we were from and suggested places to visit. I asked him where he recommended for an evening meal and he suggested a few pubs etc and then told me that they did takeaways from Gwilli Cafe. Seven hours later I returned to pick up a Scampi,chips & peas served with tartare sauce and a Chicken curry half rice half chips with a naan bread and mango chutney. Both meals piping hot and freshly cooked & at £8.00 each we thought it was a bargain. I cannot recommend this little cafe enough no fancy decor just good old fashioned home made food served with a smile and a genuine interest in people.

Lovely home cooked food and a very welcoming little cafe. We were all very hungry and left very satisfied! What shone through most was the kind hearts and community mindedness of the hosts. An inspiring little place.

Called here yesterday on the way home from Llandovery. Had the 3 course meal for 12 95. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Will definately call back here again.

Don't let the dated decor put you off!!! The toasties were fantastic value, quality and very tasty. Lovely service as well. Would thoroughly recommend for lunch.

We often visit Llandeilo for a walk then breakfast or a quick tea and cake . I can highly recommend this cafe it is a little gem ! The sausage bap I had during our last visit was out of this world and my daughter...

My son came up today with his 2 mates as they had a sleep over gave them £20 an only managed to get 2 breakfasts an a sausage sandwich they said the couldn't afford a drink as it was £2.95 for a coke.??? Is this the price??? Or have you just ripped off 12 year olds

Came here slightly later on Sunday for lunch, about 1.30pm. Had the small roast beef. Hubby had the large but the only difference seemed to be two scoops of mash rather than one. However it was very nice and the chocolate fudge pudding was lovely....

Delicious home cooked Sunday roast as good as I could cook myself. Excellent value, pleasant staff. Will definitely be returning.

Eat here regularly and never disappointed! Friendly service and great value breakfast served all day. Opens on Sundays now which is a real bonus in llandeilo as the the only cafe that bothers to open, well done! They open for breakfast and Sunday lunch.

Have only had a coffee and a welsh cake here myself both of which were promptly served and tasty. They seem to serve a wide choice of savoury and sweet items ranging from pizzas to tarts.
