Ty Croeso in Carmarthenshire

We have recently moved into the area and were please to find this deli. Food was very good but the counter staff were rude, tapping sharply on the counter top whilst we chose what to buy. Unnecessary and, to be honest, unlikely that we'll go back again.

This little welsh cafe has a shop attached. Stopped for an afternoon drink and cake. Nice pot of tea and granola bar. My partner had a coffee and mince pie (slice). It was full of fruit but not quite what he expected. Very friendly atmosphere. Quiet but nearly closing.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Newcastle Emlyn but this was our best find and clear to see why it is popular. We enjoyed a good, hot portion of liver and bacon, mash and peas followed by rhubarb crumble and custard off the ‘Specials’ board That’s right: unpretentious home-cooking at a good price in a friendly atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Very helpful with my disabled husband. Cozy and a nice atmosphere. The breakfasts are fantastic and a good price. Gets very busy from 11.30am. I also go with my friend for a meet up.

We had breakfast or a late lunch here nearly every day this week. Good honest grub. Staff are polite friendly and up for a joke. Foods good pies are great. Shops stuffed with cheeses pies pickles and much more.

Popped in for lunch. a very good choice of food was on offer and the staff were so helpful and pleasant. they couldn't do enough. the cafe part and the shop part were very clean and welcoming. the food was superb!

Home cooked food. We went for breakfast and there was a good choice of British breakfasts. Well priced, clean & friendly service. The rest of the menu looked nice too.

My family (2 adults and 2 children aged 9&6) visited Ty Croeso for lunch today. The food was superb. The service was lovely and friendly and welcoming. Would definitely visit again

managed to get a table on a Saturday with my daughter. It was busy, however we did wait over half an hour for our food. We had drank our teas long before the meal. The meal was very nice and we loved the café. However, due to such a long wait we were put off and wont be calling again.

Breakfast here are large, well cooked, fresh and traditional. I put together my own breakfast owing to the lack of Gluten Free bread. It was lovely! I had beans, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and saute potatoes. I couldn't eat it all, though I would have liked to. The Veggie breakfast was great too. The coffee was a bit ordinary for my taste, but if you like a pot of tea you will be very happy with your breakfast here.

We ordered a toasted sandwich and a panini on a relatively quiet weekday lunchtime, the order took ages to arrive and the food was poor, verging on terrible. The toasted sandwich looked like it had been introduced to the toaster, but either not put in the machine or the machine wasn't switched on - at best it could only be described as a warm sandwich. The panini was a bit better and it at least looked like it had been toasted but the ridiculously large portion of chips is was served with were poor and far too soggy. Service was disinterested and uncommunicative. There are better places in the town I'm sure.

There is a good choice of menu here, all fresh and home cooked. Adjoining the resteraunt area is a deli with great choice of real home cooked food.

a great traditional food from egg and chips to roast dinner to full hearty breakfasts . also a delicatessen with home made pies , quiches , great selection of local cheeses ... i would say the best home cooked chips , my husband loves their steak and kidney pies , and im a real fan of the simple cheese and tomato quiche ,,, for anyone who loves a hearty home cooked meal

The most helpful,professional and friendly staff in a lovely setting the food is excellent and not overpriced i highly recommend fabulous.

We eat here all the time. It is one fo our favourite cafes and is absolutely great value for money. The service is spot on and the choice is varied. The home made food from the Deli counter is also a must as are the cakes etc. It also has a great shop which sells bits and pieces which can also be great for gifts.

Have been here quite a few times the ladies that are there are so helpful and very cheerful. I have had the breakfast in there and a lovely coffee with a shot of caramel. Food is really good well worth a visit

Packed on a Saturday lunch , says it all. Delicious food excellent value for money. You can tell good ingredients are used eg strong good cheese . Friendly service and fantastic views from.the loo as a bonus 😉

Nothing fancy just Wholesome food at good value prices and it was the choice over The Emlyn Hotel (which was empty and devoid of any eagerness to accommodate) and the Cwtch Coffi(where we didn't really want to sit and have our clothes steamed in kitchen smells)....so it was then.....and we were satisfied with the light meals and the service....!

We eat here regularly. Cooked breakfast are best around with top quality produce. Always good service and friendly welcome

No fue hasta que llegó nuestra comida, nos dimos cuenta de que ella había hecho sobre 6 errores con nuestros pedidos alimentos (por ej. Chaqueta de patata con 2 rellenos ordenados, pero sólo 1 llegaron a la mesa abundante; un sándwich de pan tostado con tres rellenos ordenados, sólo 2 llegamos... a pesar de otra señorita diciendo 'La piña es probablemente escondidos en alguna parte... Resultado: sin duda era no llegar cuando ensaladas; algunos de nosotros no habíamos pedido ensalada... Por consiguiente que se cobran para todas estas adiciones!) decidimos no hacer un alboroto antes de comer porque estábamos en una prisa; cuando se paga, tuve ascendían lo que deberíamos haber sido facturado por según los precios anunciados en el menú (mi menú particular sucia y pegajosa). El mismo "señora agradable 'joven que tomó nuestra orden luego revueltos juntos una cifra basada en ella y el total era garabatos muy por encima de lo que debería haber sido. Me dijo que era demasiado alto y cotizado de la cantidad correcta. Ella hizo un esfuerzo para volver a calcular, pero aún así dieron mal y bastante grosera y con retintín dijo que no podía entender cómo podía haber llegado a esa cifra. Mi respuesta fue: es lo que simpe sus estados menú! Movía los ojos. Ella se negó a llevar el precio final bajando cobrando un gran té té cuando pequeño había sido ordenados. No había ningún intento en una disculpa para cualquiera de estos errores o mala educación - la falta de disculpa es la supervisión más decepcionante y vergonzosas en Ty Croeso experimentado hoy. Recibimos la satisfacción del servicio al cliente/terrible y sin duda no será visitar de nuevo. Me siento celosa de haber leído muchos otros comentarios positivos. Más en general, la comida era sosa y mal presentado - he visto Año 7 estudiantes hacen un sándwich la tecnología de comida más atractiva de pan tostado. Punto final: El menú de estados que sólo sirven paninis entre las 12 del mediodía a 2 pm... No hoy no estaban. Pedimos a las 12.30 de la tarde y nos dijeron que eran 'no es posible'.

Value breakfast fresh cooked and plenty of it, very enjoyable lovely coffee friendly service and fast all food fresh cooked and the deli is a delight local produce Excellant pies and quiches to take away very good.

We stopped here for lunch the other day, hubby had sausage and mash I had quiche and salad it was ok. Nothing special but ok for a lunch. The almond slice cake we took home on the other hand was really lovely.

Great breakfast ,so clean and food presented so well,sets you up for the day defiantly good meals all day such a lovely welcome

I always love going here as I can have a laugh and joke as if we have known each other for years. The food is lovely and they always wrap my sausages for my dogs, a great place to relax and enjoy your food 😊

Mis amigos encantadores tenían su boda mágica este fin de semana en su granja. Ty Croeso hizo todo el catering para una tarde maravillosa buffet y una cena muy sabrosa. Tuve la suerte de estar en la pista hasta la boda y conocimos a esta familia fabulosa, que dirige este negocio, en varias ocasiones. No puedo decir lo suficiente de su comida y su eficiente pero muy agradable. En la parte superior de los cuales, el servicio que nos dieron en el Big Day fue excepcional. Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera un servicio personal de gente que realmente se preocupan por la comida y la gente son alimentación!

No suelen escribir 2 críticas, pero me sentí que quería después de tener el más sabroso jamón huevos y patatas fritas en Ty Croeso la semana pasada.

Really well prepared and tasty food, we had 2 visits, one for lunch and one for breakfast, I can thoroughly recommend both. We will be visiting again when we are in the area again.

All home cooked. Excellent! Family run delicatessen and cafe. God sized portions. Pies and quiches superb! Good choice from the deli.counter. No where else matches the flavoursome food you are served.

Brenda and Teleri make the best home made dinners, puddings and pies. Service friendly always good and swift. If you want a traditional meal like mum used to make this is the best place in Newcastle Emlyn.

Since discovering Ty Croeso two years ago we've become regulars. A friendly and cosy cafe in the heart of Newcastle Emlyn, serving delicious, excellent value homemade meals and snacks, with a wide range of choice available. The shop also sells a tempting variety of locally produced food.

Have never had a bad meal at Ty Croeso - Highly recommended! Delicious home made meals and friendly welsh welcome is had every time.

Ty Croeso is one of the most reliable and non-pretentious places in Newcastle Emlyn, providing freshly made and generously portioned meals.They provide breakfasts (in three varying sizes!) and other meals, including the pies which they also sell in the delicatessen part of the shop. Also toasted sandwiches and snacks.There is always a 'roast dinner' option which includes beef, chicken etc, and all the trimmings.I would thoroughly recommend for its warm Welsh welcome, homely atmosphere, and great meals. The very best thing about Ty Croeso is that they provide *home cut and homecooked chips*, something you rarely get in places now. They taste exactly like chips you'd make from scratch at home.
