I have never had a bad plate at Petit Biarritz. For tapas the plates are generous and really packed with flavour, whether veg, fish, or meat. The Korean crispy chicken remains a firm favourite, and the cheese and leek croquettes are always a delight. Bao buns are great. I could go on. No need. The ambience is relaxed, the service snappy (although I've only ever been when it has been quiet) , and the food is always worth looking forward to. Just go. You won't be disappointed.

We had our special wedding held at the emlyn hotel on the 15-02-2025. What a lovely venue! From the very first meeting with Julie we just felt like our wedding would run perfect! Julie went above and beyond to cater for our day and night. The bar staff, waiters & waitresses, hotel staff were all fantastic and made sure everyone was happy and enjoying! The food was outstanding, everyone complimented on how lovely the service was along with the meals they had!

2nd visit, we are a team of local work colleagues, fantastic visit last time so 8 of us booked for birthday celebrations. Last time put in dining room , this time crammed into fireplace eating area. Table next to us was raucous, very drunk , very loud, we couldn’t hold any conversation. Apparently one drunk male was soon to be married , insisting hugging all. We asked to be moved, out in dining room, very busy . This was worse ! 2 very loud parties - all drunk , all shouting, every other work effing , more than one party member shouting they’d defecated themselves. We couldn’t hear a word we were were saying to each other. We had already complained that we had pre- preordered our food, and no sign of it an hour later. When the food arrived , it was fine, but one of our parties curry arrived quite awhile after the others, to find a hard piece of plastic in the curry. No one asked if all ok, so signalled to a staff member , who said a peculiar explanation of why the plastic was in the dish , our colleague didn’t eat it, and refused to pay for it. We decided to eat up quickly and move on, never to return. On paying at the bar, I told an uninterested young bar staff it was a ruined evening due to the noise, she sed well I suppose we could have asked other party to tone it down. Well they didn’t . Shame. We ended our evening in The Squar , all agreeing as locals in a fairly big local shop , we won’t ever be returning.

Had a takeaway roast Sunday dinner while camping locally. Opted for the beef dinner. The food was amazing. 3 large slices of beef which were really tender, a crispy Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes & parsnips, stuffing & veg plus a large pot of gravy each. After eating my fill I reheated the remainder over an open fire for supper later. The beef was still tender & I still didn't eat it all, but my dog licked the foil tray clean and also approved. Great price, great food. I camp at Afon Teifi quite often & will definitely be having this again when camping!

Don’t be put off by the smell of cat spray on the way in!!! I was a bit dubious but the food was good. It looked average when it came out, everything in pots, chips, peas, rice (why?) but good portions. It looked deep fried and a bit over cooked but everyone agreed it all tasted good. Very friendly to dogs and a resident dog and at least a couple of cats. I think the land lady / manager could look stern, but I think she was just checking everything was ok and when I chatted to her she warmed up and was friendly. We will be back!

After a few days camping in a field in Cwympengraig we chanced on Emlyn Hotel. The Bistro was recommended so we gave it a try. I was delighted that the cod was in gluten free batter. It was perfectly cooked and a generous portion. The Lentil and Spinach burger was good, but was a curry flavour. I like curry, but was going more for a classic taste that night and it didn't say that it was a curry burger. Having said that the gluten free roll was excellent and from a local baker and the triple cooked chips were fantastic. My husband had the welsh cake stack with Penderyn Ice cream and maple syrup. He said it was utterly delicious!

Locals, but only been here twice before , and was good. But tonight terrible - Just finished putting my beef in the dogs dish - awful. Beef with spring onion and ginger - bland, beef chewy lumps, 2 small pieces of ginger. Pancake roll - lifted bag - soaked thru with oil - roll flattened to a crisp with over cooking.Sweet n Sour chicken balls in batter - put knife in, oil splattered across table. Ate the chicken , batter in bin. Very disappointed , whatever happened ?? Won’t return.
