Gwesty'r Emlyn Hotel in Carmarthenshire

My husband and myself got married at the Emlyn on the 29th December 2024. The wedding day for us was incredible and we had the best day we could have ever asked for, our guests loved the venue and all commented on how gorgeous the venue was, how good the food was and how lovely the staff were. Everything was perfect, i didn’t worry about wanting, Julie was like a wedding coordinator/ angel throughout the entire booking experience, visits and the day itself. Julie is so beyond incredible at what she’s does and made our day perfect. We had a power cut at 5am whilst getting ready (not uncommon in December in Carmarthenshire to be fair) and Julie had a plan A,B & C just in case we needed it. As a bride having Julie there was what kept me calm throughout the entire thing from early planning to the day we checked out after the wedding. Thank you Julie. The rest of the team were also Absoloutely incredible and deserve all of the praise they can get, they were friendly, polite and quick at their job, no one had to wait for drinks and nothing was too much to ask. Even down to the staff dishing me up and dinner so I could have it once I took my dress off as I couldn’t eat at the time. The venue itself is so pretty and exactly what we wanted. I wanted quite a simple look and didn’t have much in the way of centre pieces etc and it’s the kind of venue that’s beautiful both with and without all centre pieces and decorations. If you’re thinking of getting married in this venue, do it. I thought it would be too good to be true because of the cost being significantly better than most places, however it really is just that good. My husband and I stayed at the hotel the night of the wedding and the room was spacious and the breakfast was lovely! It was so nice to see our family and friends the next morning and catch up on the night before. We will ABSOLOUTELY come back to visit, hopefully near our anniversary and hope that we can experience a wedding here as a guest next time.

Unable to answer phone or emails.. Delivered a costomer to hotel.. for a functiin ( disables acsses wheelchair user ). Got fined 100 quid for been 1 second over 10 min time.. No one has helped sort this issue out other than saying parking is third party run. Very badly operated

I cannot begin to express how wonderful Julie the manager and her team are,they really made our wedding day one of the best days of our lives,they made planning the wedding stress free,and they care about every little detail. The venue is spectacular,the food was exquisite, I really couldn't of picked a better venue, our day was perfect,the package price was brilliant, the only downside is now we are married I have to wait a few years until I can book a vow renewal there 😂. Julie is fantastic at her job,every bride needs someone like Julie,and we seriously struck gold having the pleasure of working with her,she really did make our day our dream wedding. We love the emlyn hotel, the venue is one of the most beautiful places we have seen and we were very lucky to be able to book our wedding there, everything about it is so beautiful, From the chairs,walls, ceilings to the floors everything is stunning and the little extras you can hire there were amazing too. The taster evening was also amazing They put on a mini wedding reception, to try their food,and boy oh boy it was stunning,it was very very differcult to choose between the menus as everything was so tasty. The food on our wedding day was perfection,including the breakfast to the bridal suite in the morning, it was out of this world. All the staff went above and beyond for myself and my husband and we can't thank them enough for all the love,warmth,care and professionalism they showed us.

Very disappointed had a taxi booking to drop a disabled customer off at this establishment. The lady was in a wheelchair and taken time to unload from the vehicle, this has resulted in me getting a parking fine from Parking Eye! we contacted the Establishment and explained what had happened and they said they would sort this out! we have now had a county court claim from Parking Eye. Transporting customers to this establishment and under the circumstances you would think they would appreciate the service we provide to their customers what is regular! We still take customer to this Venue but we now unload out on the road.

Got married here on January 25th and the venue is just amazing! It was the first one we viewed last year and instantly fell in love with the place and the staff all made us feel welcome. Julie was amazing especially with my two little girls on the day, especially as my toddlers are quite shy around people they don't know but they were laughing and dancing away with Julie on the dance floor! All the staff were amazing and I couldn't of asked for a better day :) Julie and her team work tirelessly to make sure every little detail is under control. Everyone that attended said they absolutely loved the venue also. We stayed in the bridal suite on the night and it was so beautiful. Will definitely be returning just to stay the night there! Thank you to Julie and her team for making our day as magical as can be!

I've been to two weddings now at the Emlyn Hotel and am so impressed by their warmth, their passion and how much joy they add to these special occasions that I'd be tempted to divorce and remarry my wife just to experience it for myself. Highly recommended.

Attended a family wedding hosted by Gwesty'r Emlyn on the weekend of 28th-29th June 2024. Thanks to Julie and her staff, it was wonderful: accommodation was lovely, clean and convenient for the wedding celebration; food was excellent, tasty and ample; the wedding venue within the hotel was ideal for the ceremony, reception and evening event; Julie and her staff were all cheerful and helpful. Most memorable, and a real asset for the pleasant and picturesque market town of Newcastle Emlyn.

A few weeks ago we held our wedding at Gwesty'r Emlyn. It was a great experience from start to finish, Julie and her team are fabulous. I was a slightly clueless bride but they led me through the process and made us feel special. All our guests, some local, some having travelled from afar, all loved the venue, the food, the staff and in particular, the garden, where we spent most of the day. We smiled from morning to night. Diolch i Julie a'i holl staff. Might have to get married again now just to do it one more time!

Yesterday myself and my husband celebrated our wedding at Gwesty’r Emlyn, we had an absolutely amazing day, certainly one to remember for the rest of our lives. We’ve had nothing but compliments from our guests about how well the staff treated everyone throughout the day and the night. I want to say a massive thankyou to Julie for all that she done for us leading up to and on our special day, without the help of her and her staff our day wouldn’t have gone as smooth as it did. Thankyou so much for all that you done to make our day as special as it was. I will 100% be recommending this venue to each and every person I know.
