The restaurant is also a takeaway. I have eaten in once and used the takeaway several times. It's hit-and-miss, it probably depends on who is cooking. One takeaway was supposed to be prawn achari, it was basically prawns in coconut milk with a bit of turmeric, no spice flavours and no heat/chilli. The sauce was thin and bland. The tarka dal is watery. The naan is sometimes not cooked through properly so, it's thick and doughy, the Peshwari lacks flavour as does the garlic naan. I find it overpriced for poor-quality food. The Kunzan takeaway In Llandeilo, around 7 miles away is much better in quality and offers better value, you get a free poppadom and raita there too whereas Miz Spice charges for everything. In future, I'll drive the few extra miles for better food.

Fast friendly service . Polite staff throughout . And one of the tastiest curries we’ve ever had. Lamb madras and chicken chili Masalla ? Spelling ? We will be back . And suggest you should go there . .

My wife, daughter, and I had a lovely meal at Mix Spice. We are all vegetarian and we were looked after very well. Although there are vegetarian options, it was no problem choosing any of the meat options to make them vegetarian. All our dishes were tasty and wonderful. But above all, what cemented the 5 star review was the genuine friendliness of the host. From start to finish, he couldn't have been more friendly, nothing was a problem. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

A regular local customer for takeaways, but never again will we attend this place after the treatment we received tonight from the staff when we ‘attempted’ a sit down meal. Such a shame.

There was 10 of us and pretty much ordered the menu between us all and nobody said anything bad about the food it was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful would highly recommend

We didn't actually get as far as ordering, our experience up to that point put us off! It felt a bit 'faulty towers' somehow. The waiter rearranged menus on the counter before eventually acknowledging us and we asked for a table. It was less than half full but he dithered about where to put us. Table next to us sent the plates back because they were dirty. They eventually had rice served which sat getting cold waiting for everything else. Another table had already waited 20 minutes and had yet to order. Another table looked like they were also waiting. Table was sticky too. Nothing about the place made us think we'd get served either efficiently or with decent food so gave up and went to the co-op for a microwave curry (which was actually ok!)

We had a great takeaway from Miz. The food was really nicely balanced, hot without being aggressively so and no film of oil ontop Staff were charming and a follow up call to check we were happy was a lovely surprise and really impressed.

On deal nights you can choose 1 starter and 1 main meal for £16.95. I selected the lasooni macchi (pan fried sea bass in a cream and garlic sauce with salad) as a starter followed by the main course of chicken nizami (more garlic ) with pilau rice. The chicken curry was O.K. but had not been boned and came with skin and grisle attached. Surprisingly the deal of the night was the cheap price for Champagne although we opted for the house white instead. Slow service but we were not in a hurry to go anywhere. 44 covers or thereabouts and all located on the ground floor.

Lovely Indian in the middle of Llandovery. Service was great and the food was even better. Six of us were dining and all the meals turned up together on time and hot. Had a great time.

We use this takeaway all the time, and it is usually very good. But tonight August bank holiday Monday, the service was very poor. We ordered over the phone as normal, picked it up at the allotted time - only to find out when we got it home items were missing from our order. Went back to ask for items missing only to be told that we had not even ordered them The member of staff was very rude and not helpful at all, and was adamant that we got what we had ordered. Whilst there trying to sort this out, another gentleman came in as items had been missing from his order to.

These guys are amazing. The food is top notch and because I live across the road, they even deliver to me. You really need to try this place out.

Excellent food - perhaps surprisingly spicy for a small Welsh town, but great if you enjoy Indian food. Generous portions. Polite service. Decor is a little like a cafe - but the food and service more than make up for it. Thank you for a fine and very reasonably priced meal.

Seen this place on the the local fb page so thought I would try it. The food was amazing, the flavours in the dishes we had were out of this world. It is really worth a try and the prices were very good

Good Takeaway, fast service and still hot when we got home. The Miz Spice is just as good as the previous Indian Lounge. Originally gave 4 star due to finding it was missing the sauce for the Byriami once got home which must have been a glich. Everything else tasted veryGOOD😀. Soto Update review, as been few times since and Augst 2023 ordered a pre set meal no.5 for 4people. The whole combination was mouth watering. Thankyou all at Miz Spice. WONDERFUL FOOD😀😀😀. They was super busy but manage to cater for us at last min and we had a big group of children/adults from London. Great approachable manager and was very good with the kids. Best of all the food was great! The biryanis especially hit the spot! See you soon. From London (Romford)

Decided to try again as we have not been there for a few years, the food was nice and food was brought out quickly. i was disappointed with the service being a little slow (especially as it wasn't busy) we also asked for a coffee after our meal but they said they do not do coffee. a place i will not be rushing back to.

Did the job but pasanda is far too sweet and many of the curries, despite ordering different types, tasted exactly the same. Ordered one listed as 'fairly hot'. No heat whatsoever...

Waited ages, chicken drier than the ghobi desert.

Was visiting the area so thought would try the "Indian Restaurant". When I went to pick up the food, witnessed one of the rudest manager/waiter I have ever seen. An Indian customer had raised a small complaint in a polite way but the waiter was very disrespectful, did not hear about the complaint, told them he has enough experience in dealing with customers and asked them to leave. He was very polite to locals/whites, but did not deal with Indians in the same way which I found very perplexing. Unfortunately, the food is not Indian as advertised and was pretty bland. Fried dishes were made from stale oil. Would avoid this if you want good Indian food.

My husband & I visited on a Monday evening for takeaway - staff were so friendly & helpful - especially Imran. He was happy to talk us through the menu & recommend dishes. As a vegetarian I found there was plenty of choice & if it wasn’t on the menu they would try their best to recreate it. The food was as fantastic as the service - very impressed. We were also made to feel so welcome there - we will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you!

Excellent traditional 'English-Indian' food at reasonable prices. Miz Spice has a comprehensive menu of delicious curries and sundries, all cooked to order and very well presented. Charming and very prompt service. Buffet on Sundays as well as the standard menu. Good drinks menu. The ceiling lighting is a touch gloomy and a couple of side / standard lights would really enhance the ambience. Overall, great food, good value for money and therefore highly recommended. 👍 👌

This is a gem of a restaurant. It may not look like much but the food, prepared by their Goan chef, is delicious.

First time we've ordered a takeaway from here, over the phone my wife requested a slight adjustment to one meal which they were more than happy to accommodate. Food was ready on time, hot and delicious, later that evening we received a phone call from Miz Spice checking that we enjoyed our meal. Excellent, 5 stars.

4 out for a Friday curry. We are from Manchester and are spoilt with good curry houses. This one could hold its own in Rusholme for sure Such a shame that some have had a bad experience in the past Food was fresh and hot Plates were warm Starter portions were a good size Main courses also good portions Food was cooked well. Not as spicy as I like but still good food.

Just what you need as the wintery days start, a great curry in pleasant surroundings. The waiter was helpful with suggestions and the two curries were delicious. Reasonable prices in these Covid times.

Just had a family meal at the Miz Spice. Food was really tasty with good size portions and good service. Really nice to have an Indian meal that was covered in oil. Would definitely use again.

Ordered takeaway for 8 people via Facebook Messenger on Sunday 7th August 2022, while staying in the area on holiday. The food was ready when agreed (approx one hour after ordering) and was it very high quality. We had 8 different curries and all were very tasty! The staff were very friendly and gave us a few extras. Wouldn’t hesitate to order from here again!

Ordered a takeaway from Miz Spice. Excellent. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff were pleasant. The food was ready when they said it would be. I like the fact that when I opened the containers the food was not swimming with ghee. I was able to taste the spices and the different layers of flavour. The prices compared favourably with other restaurants we use. I look forward to eating a meal IN the restaurant next time.

Please don’t waste your money on this establishment ! The food is absolutely revolting 🤮 no taste just so bland and weird horrible taste . Ordered a chilli and coriander Nan only to be told they don’t have any coriander or chill ? Anyway all the food went in the bin total waste of money and food

we called here last night for the sunday buffet.it was amazing four cutties to choose from chicken tikka 2 types of rice chips and bhaji and dips.flavours were great and the lamb just melted in your mouth.very friendly owner and would highly recommend.

The food I received tonight was terrible, no taste and bland looking and the korma sauce was like baby food. Ordered food 45 minutes before collection and had to wait a further 30 minutes. Not the only one having to wait. Missed opportunity as Llandovery needs a good Indian Takeaway. Only left one star as no chance to leave no stars.

Thought it may have improved since it had a name change, but no still terrible, tasted like washing up liquid, better off driving to Llandeilo or Lampeter, probably the worst I have ever had which is a shame
