Kier was very attentive and made our drinks well. Would definitely come back.

We were in Dallas for the Ellipse and Otto’s was nearby. Our take was that if you were there for a beverage and a pastry, it was pretty good. For a full, sir-down breakfast you might consider some place else.

I got one of the best mocha lattes ever from here. Usually I find most mochas way too sweet without some modification, but this came out great as is. The baristas were also super friendly and the sitting area inside looked beautiful!

The high tea at the French room is always such a treat but everyone here made it that much more special! Be on the look out for Alfonso and Jesus they were AMAZING! Really made it a perfect afternoon celebration! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to celebrate in style and feel right at home with such amazing people!

I had a great afternoon at rodeo bar. It was so fun talking to Dru. He’s so funny and his body tea.

This coffee shop is beautiful and it is in prime location. No matter how nice the coffee shop is the most important thing is the coffee. The coffee at Otto's is so bad that me and my wife didn't even drink a 1/4 of it. It tastes like cheap coffee that you would get from a local grocery store. I think the owner's need to go back to the drawing board on the coffee they use. I ordered a latte and my wife order a cappuccino. I won't be going back to this place.

Such a nice experience every time I go in. The guy there was really super kind to me. I showed up a little before they opened and he popped out and handed me my regular order before the lights were even on. The store is clean. The food is fresh and good. The drinks are consistent and top notch. The employees are kind and happy. This is what a café should be.

I probably wouldn’t go back to study mostly because there was no one working around me and it was more of a sit and chat coffee place. - There are SO many places to sit inside of the coffee shop and in the Adolphus hotel itself. - Only heads up is you’ll most likely not find street parking and your best bet is to pull into the Adolphus hotel garage and get valet done for $10. Tell them you’re going to Otto’s.

Had an awesome experience at Ottos! Mikael, Edgar, Patrick & Nicole was very well versed in the coffee science and very hospitable. They have a gift in not only their service of the hotel guests but also inquiring coffee minds searching for the perfect flat white. I will be back

We had a short trip to Dallas and this was the closest coffee shop to our hotel. It is inside the Adolphus Hotel. We went there 2 mornings and I have never seen so grumpy staff in my whole life, at both days. I am talking about whoever was at the register, for 2 different days. I said "Good morning", no response, I said "Thank you", no response, I said "Bye" and no response. They just looked to my face. They never smile and, never greet you as well. I am sorry that I ordered something, that's what it felt like eating there. Coming from a hospitality and hotel management background, I never form an opinion at one visit. But if this is happening twice, then it is not a coincidence or a person's bad day. Two different staff members on two different days means there is a very low standard and no understanding of hospitality whatsoever. I do not recommend this place, go spend somewhere who appreciates your business. (Ps: I had no interaction with the Barista, so this review is not about her)

Really bad service. We ordered waffles, breakfast tacos, and drinks. A few minutes later they told us that they are out of waffles and our tacos never arrived. The tea was also made (or left on the counter without notice to become) so dark that I had to ask for it to be remade. And by the way, this is after we left a big tip. Imagine what service you will get otherwise. :)

Drip coffee was stale and undrinkable. Friend enjoyed her Chai latte. Snacks were overpriced. Pleasant space.

Walked here from another hotel cause of the reviews. This is just a subpar hotel coffee bar. The breakfast taco was…not good, I couldn’t finish it. The half waffle was definitely something my high school cafeteria served, very soft and limp. Served with Mrs. Butterworths fake syrup. Coffee was very average. This is definitely not the same place I read about in the reviews. Must be under new management or something. The menu on the website is not what they serve. Barista was very polite and hard working.

I stopped in by accident and found the most generous, kind and helpful team. Lucy and the other guys who helped me through my stressful morning deserve a shoutout! Breakfast was delicious too: I had pumpkin latte and a croissant. Thank you again guys

Had high hopes and walked from the Hyatt regency for a flat white. Quick to order but long wait. Received coffee with hot milk only. No foam or froth. Cashier agreed and said we’ll make a proper one. Returned it, Another 10 mins and he now he forgot to reorder. Almost half an hour and I now had run out of time, had to leave empty handed. Total waste of time from an unfortunate incompetent staff.

Awesome place to shop and eat. Gourmet everything. Take and go made meals top tier experience for sure.

First, I like the deco, it is classy and gives a warm vibe. Secondly, the service can be a bit slow during peak morning, as they only have 2, sometimes 3 staff working behind the counter to prepare the coffee, food and concurrently taking orders. Thirdly, there are some staple breakfast food options and a few pastries on view from the glass counter. Last but not least, I feel it is not light on the wallet. Will I come here again, yes, I did it twice.

I won’t recommend this place. It changed management and coffee roaster since I last came, and the quality is night and day different. Coffee was not good. I shouldn’t have to wait for espresso to cool down to drink it. And watching the baristas work, they are clearly not trained well. I could hear the milk screaming for air drink after drink. Also, with so many great local roaster options in Dallas, you can easily do much better than Full City Rooster. Also, they no longer offer a full food menu, but still advertise the original menu on the website—not to mention in the name. Pastries were decent, but not great. And disappointing after expecting more substantial breakfast options. Great atmosphere and vibe. Lot of potential.

If I'm paying $6 for a takeaway croissant, plus tip for counter service, at a supposed upscale hotel coffee bar, I expect courteous, pleasant service. The woman(white, brunette) at the counter on the morning of May 11 was none of those things. Don't toss around my Almond Croissant. Don't manhandle it so the fillings pour out on to your counter. Don't have a snarky, nasty attitude. Adolphus management needs to work on their staff recruitment and training strategies. Paying customers have too many options around to have to put up with bad service and bad product.

Otto's has amazing pastries and the staff is very friendly. If they have it, I highly recommend the crostata.

Excellent coffee. Espresso was perfectly extracted. Beans had a sweetness and brightness that I haven't found in shots from other nearby downtown coffee shops. Expensive, but wonderful.

Wonderful vibe and ambiance here comes with delicious coffee and friendly staff. Really enjoy visiting here whenever I'm walking around downtown Dallas. Fair amount of seating and outlet for charging or working off a laptop. Had the cold brew with almond milk which was delicious!

One of the few places open for breakfast in downtown Dallas. It's a coffee bar with a few breakfast items. Crowded and noisy when we were there, but did the job.

Omg the coffee is actually terrible… sad I wasted money. Got a vanilla latte hazelnut latte and matcha and all of it taste actually terrible. The espresso shots taste as if they were watered down and the burnt. Not worth it at all.

I came into Otto's Coffee beside Adolphus Hotel and I ordered the peppermint dark chocolate coffee and it is fantastic very delicious must recommend of you come to the downtown Dallas area and Sam is very friendly and very helpful employee she deserves a raise she told me about the prices sizes and recommended my coffee choice.

Best Service Ever. The Baristas are awesome and super friendly. They really took care of me during my stay at the Adolphus. I will definitely come back here next time I am in Dallas-- for the coffee AND the staff. Highly recommend anyone come here to have good coffee and warm atmosphere.

I was greeted by Barista Celina! She was friendly and got my coffee started right away. I got a sandwich and a coconut milk vanilla latte. The decor was beautiful and everything was fully stocked! I loved it here. 10/10 would recommend.

Got a small iced dirty chai with oatmilk! (it ended up costing 10 bucks) there was hardly any chai flavor, the espresso tasted very acidic. Honestly, I couldn’t tell if the milk had gone bad or if there espresso is just that bad. Had to throw it away. 10 dollars wasted. :(

This place is a hidden gem. It has traditional American food. The serving sizes are quite large... so bring your appetite. The setting is comfortable and the servers were all very welcoming!

Bougie hotel, fun little spot with a nice aesthetic. Popped in for a coffee and to share a baked good with my husband. Their baked goods are from Bresnan. They are top notch. We had the orange cardamom roll.

Best lattes ever, I thought! But they're not consistent. And at $5 a beverage or meal, you'd hope all Baristas had the same method down.

I was really starting to like this place as my new go to coffee spot as I live in downtown. However, I really felt the barista, Halla i believe, purposely made my drink bad. My latte came out whiteeee. I was so confused as to what she had made me. I then asked for another shot as it literally had no flavor. She actually charged me the additional fee even after seeing I was attempting to fix the drink she made, however, it made zero difference as it was too watered down to begin with. It was so disappointing for an $8 latte. I’m not sure if it was my race or maybe because I wasn’t dressed nicely?

Come for the coffee stay for Liege waffles, financiers, and all manner of baked treats. Plus, they have a good selection of drinks if you're tippling and a happy hour where it's all half off. Makes me wish I worked across the street at AT&T...

Attended a coffee cupping class. Learned that there is sooooo much more to learn about coffee, and this class was a great way to begin my learning process. Otto's is a quaint shop. The pastries are divine. The folks making the brew are wonderfully helpful, and if you stop in to make a bean purchase, the Adolphus specialty blend is worthy of your consideration. Once you've had your fill of masterfully brewed joe and amazingly delish food, head into the Adolphus Hotel for a quick tour of "The Glided Age" on full display. The visual opulence of the beautifully grande chandeliers, intricate wood paneling, and divine bar definitely reminded me of Chicago's own Palmer House hotel...and made my stop at Otto's even more perfect. I will count this as yet another one of Dallas's "hidden" gems, albeit in plain sight. And I will be back.

Well Tripadvisor insists that I write a review here! So here’s what I know, I heard place was up for sale, then it closed during the week and open weekends only then they had a fire so now closed all the time! What a terrible shame, they tried to do too many things, every time you went in it was completely different then you couldn’t pay by card all so confusing. The food was lovely but then they lost their identity then their customers...

Have had both an excellent experience here, and also unfortunately receive a pastry that had a texture indicating it was about a day old.

Been walking for 2 miles and thought I would treat myself to coffee and cake.Been here before and always lovely cakes and atmosphere.Firstly had to wait for someone to come from out the back as no one on the front desk.Asked what selection of cakes ....only one choice a boring sponge. Anyway decided to have a slice and a coffee. Coffee came in cup covered in lipstick and when I asked for a fresh cup was told "its only a little bit of lipstick"!! Had coffee changed then staff disappear into back again. Won't be visiting again.

I love Etto's coffee and it's food. It is a paradise on most my days off. I am usually not tempted by sweets too often but sometimes I can't resist their cakes. I do adore this coffee shop but I have experienced customer service of late which comes across as cold. I will continue my pateronage in the future however because honestly there is nowhere else quite like it.

I’ve been a handful of times and it’s a lovely environment. Great coffee and nice place to relax. However, a little disappointed there’s no gluten free options available for food. Gf pancakes or bread would be ideal as I felt restricted I couldn’t try the food I wanted to.

Maybe I got the wrong drink, but the Nitro Cold Brew was bitter and impossible to finish (trust me, it was hard to waste coffee)

I always thought this was just a coffee shop and it seemed odd when I heard they serve carvery 7 days a week. I love carvery but didn’t have high expectations when my friend and I decided to try lunch there. Have to say, it was delicious, 2 choices of meat and generous portions, help yourself to 5 kinds of veg, 3 kinds of potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all the accompaniments. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and could not believe it was only £6 each!!!! My friend decided to buy a take away meal for her husband too. Highly recommended.

While staying at The Adolphus Hotel for a weekend getaway Ottos became our morning coffee stop. Serving the local Oak Cliff Roasters they offered a wide variety of coffee drinks. The vibe of the place matches the area of Downtown as well as fits well with it’s companion, The Adolphus. There is plenty of seating, both cozy and functional. Along with their wide variety coffee drinks they offer and nice spread of breakfast sandwiches, quiches, waffles, etc.

Lovely place! The staff are great, coffee, tea and cakes were top notch on a Saturday afternoon, can’t be faulted!
